A lot of Destiny ‘redditors‘ are reporting the game is receiving a free status allowing anyone to play the vanilla experience, and get a small portion of the full game. When selecting “Destiny” on Microsoft, it shows up as FREE+ replacing the Trial version, but for the newcomers what’s the difference?
So what is the difference between Trial and Free version? Let’s take a look.
- It had a limited time access ;
- Character creation and progression to Level 7, which carries over to the full version of the game;
- Five Story Missions set in Old Russia;
- Access to the Social Hub Tower;
- “The Devil’s Lair” 3-player cooperative Strike.
As you can see you get access to a few limited content in Destiny while trying out the Trial version. Let’s see what advantages the Free version gives it to you.
- Let’s you play any mission, and strike as long it doesn’t interfere with the requirement of DLCs;
- Let’s you level up until 30 with any character you’d like (Warlock, Hunter, and Titan);
- You can play multiplayer with your friends in 3 playlists.
- Let’s you win Achievements/Trophies.
- Guarantees you access to almost all locations available in Destiny;
The differences between the two versions sound promising for the new players giving you a chance to get a taste of Destiny before you decide to get the full experience. We are waiting for a confirmation by Bungie regarding this matter.
