UPDATE: Nintendo has confirmed thatĀ Fire Emblem Heroes will launch on both iOS and Android on February 2nd.
Nintendo’s next mobile title has been officially confirmed as Fire Emblem Heroes. This free to play app will make its way to the Google Play store on February 2nd, while a release date for iOS remains to be seen. This is similar to how Super Mario Run is exclusive for iOS at the moment, but will be making its way to Android soon. The same should apply for this title, just reverse. This game is free to play however, so in app purchases are available. The gameplay is very similar to classic Fire Emblem games, and is made with smart phone screens in mind. The maps are designed to fit your screen, and allows easy control with touch. You can drag characters to enemy units to attack, or use traditional Fire Emblem controls. The weapon triangle also makes its return, so learning strategies will be key to victory. Your individual heroes will gain experience, which will allow you to unlock new skills, level up, or increase ratings. The game also features a few modes, including a training tower to level up your heroes. Nintendo is currently holding an event in which the community votes for heroes to make their way to the game, which can be found here:Ā https://events.fire-emblem-heroes.com/vote. MyNintendo account holders will receive 200 platinum points for casting their votes, so make sure to do so if you want in!
