Hideo Kojima has revealed why he has picked Sony to have Death Stranding to the PlayStation 4 exclusively rather than working with Microsoft or anyone else, during a stage event from RTX Sydney. He mentioned that he had many offers many offers before signing up with Sony, even from outside the gaming industry. Kojima even had an offer from the Arab Emirates which was a very good offer with a good amount of money.
Hideo has worked with Sony for over twenty years, so he knows everyone from the top down. He wanted to make sure that the first game would be a success, and he thinks working with Sony there would be a small chance of failure. Sony gives Kojima-san 100% creative freedom to do what he needs to do. They’ll be in charge of the large-scale promotion activities for the game.
He was also asked if Death Stranding will be a VR game and Kojima had rejected that saying the game will not be made for Virtual Reality.
