Rocket League keeps on growing, toys are now on the way. Developer Psyonix and toy company Zag Toys today announced an agreement to make toys based on the popular soccer-with-cars game. These first toys are “pull-back” racecars that zip across a surface. These include Octane, Dominus, Masamune, Hotshot, Grog, X-Devil, Merc, and Backfire, as well as others that feature different designs.
All 12 of these cars go on sale in Spring 2017 at stores across North America, they come packaged inside of the Rocket League ball. Additionally, some of the toys will contain a code for an “exclusive” Rocket Trail and wheel that can be redeemed in Rocket League.
Psyonix have also announced that they have passed 26 million registered players.
It is great to see a game grow like Rocket League has been. We still don’t know if the game will come to the Nintendo Switch, but Psyonix is excited for the console so maybe in the future.
