South Park The Fractured but Whole has been delayed yet again

South Park: The Fractured but Whole has been delayed again and will not release in March as planned according to a source within Ubisoft.

The original release date was early December, but Ubisoft delayed the game after stating “”the development team wants to make sure the game experience meets the high expectations of fans and the additional time will help them achieve this goal” . Apparently, the extra three months wasn’t enough, and we reached out to a couple people when we started to see the writing on the wall. The release date for South Park: The Fractured but Whole still indicateds “TBC” on the official press site even though it is supposed to release in Q1 prior to the end of March. Ubisoft’s own timeline regarding how they release information for upcoming games and release dates was about to be passed up, and unfortunately our intuition was correct. When we reached out, we got a response saying “Good catch, was waiting to see when someone would ask this. The thing is The Fractured but Whole is a lot bigger than Stick of Truth, like a lot. There’s a whole lot more involved. I have heard they are making sure everything is good to go at launch but underestimated how long it would take. It’s just fine tuning stuff and finishing up at this point nothing too worrisome, but it’s not going to be ready by March. Probably soon after though”.

We couldn’t get anything on the “soon after”, but hopefully it doesn’ take too long. The Stick of Truth took us by surprise when we first played it as it was actually a very good RPG. It’s a bit eye brow raising to see Fractured but Whole delayed again, but past practice has shown this may be a good thing. Usually the game’s Ubisoft delays actually show up to be well functioning at launch. The ones with issues tend to be the ones which aren’t delayed, whether it’s minor or major bugs. Hopefully we get a release date soon, and we’ll let you know what we find out. Let us know what you think below, in the meantime enjoy the trailer as well.
