1047 Games are now focusing on a brand new game in the Splitgate universe

1047 Games announced today that they are stopping feature development on Splitgate and will be focusing on a brand new title in the same universe. This news comes at a shocking time as it wasn’t too long ago that they received $100 million in funding and they’ve recently started the Splitgate Pro Series which has been off to a great start.

The 1047 team is focusing less on smaller updates and are going all in on a new game in the Splitgate universe. It was also said that they will be building it in Unreal Engine 5 and the game will still have its portals and weapons that everyone loves so much.

Splitgate will continue to remain online with a new battle pass coming September 15. While there might be some updates coming to the game, the focus is on whatever is next from 1047 Games which we should hear more about in the new year.
