Metroid Prime: Federation Force for 3DS announced
During today’s Nintendo Digital Event @ E3, Nintendo unveiled the latest Metroid Prime game, but it’s not exactly what you’d think it is. Instead of being a Wii U title, the game is a 3DS exclusive and looks to be based on the Metroid Prime: Hunters engine that was used on the original DS. The game features 4 player co-op as you and 3 others battle through enemies in the Metroid universe. It seems as if Samus will not be present unfortunately. The game also features BlastBall as a multiplayer mode, which was a stealth announce at the Nintendo World Championships the other night. BlastBall is a 3v3 mode in which you try to shoot a gravity ball into the enemies goal. The game is set to launch for the Nintendo 3DS in 2016. Catch the trailer below and let us know your thoughts.
New Amiibo Revealed During Nintendo’s Digital Event
Today Nintendo had their Digital Conference. It once again was a comical time with Nintendo executives being muppets. Lets go onto the Amiibo news they showed us. These were not expected at all by most people. Lets start off with the Animal Crossing Amiibo. These new Amiibo will be usable with the newly Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer which will be launching for the 3DS on September 25th, 2015. Those 4 guys are Isabelle, K.K. Slider, Able, and Tom Nook. These Amiibo are usable in Amiibo Festival. Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival is a Party-like board game that involves NFC-powered Amiibo figurines from the Animal Crossing world. The other 4 Animal Crossing Amiibo. No word on a set release date yet for these guys yet. Also what was announced at the Digital Event was that these two Amiibo will be coming out for the Super Mario Bros 30th Anniversary. There will be a classic and modern version. Here is what it looks like in a package.
Xbox One’s Dashboard Update Includes New Design and Cortana
During the Xbox Live Daily Show they announced new interesting stuff, gave us more looks into Halo 5 Guardians, Fable Legends, Gears of War and more. The biggest reveal was the new Xbox One UI Design. Which will be available to Xbox Preview members soon while the full design is set to launch this holiday 2015. One thing that we notice with this design that it removes the whole tile experience with it being Windows 10. There’s one-click access to things like sharing or achievements, and a new pane that can slide in when you double-tap the Xbox button on a controller. The pane appears to be the quickest way to access notifications, messages, quick settings, and your friends list. If you’re using a party on an Xbox One then this will be shown in the quick pane, and it’s easy to add and remove friends from party chat. There is a new trend section where it shows the highlighted topics, games, top Xbox gamers, suggested friends and more. Avatars are also back with this update as seen on the top left. The biggest new addition is Cortana. Xbox makes the Kinect another reason why it is a must have with this new feature. The commands are a lot more powerful than what exists today. It will be easier to invite someone to a party such as saying ” Hey Cortana, Invite Amanda to the Party” Cortana will be your companion on Xbox One and it is great. They did not confirm that you will need a Kinect for this but it is more than likely that you will need a Kinect for this awesome Cortana feature. More info will drop soon on this new UI design Make sure to stay tuned for more Xbox news!
