The Last of Us and Uncharted Developer Offers to Take Over Half-Life 3
Neil Druckmann, creative director and writer at Naughty Dog, tweeted last week his offer for his studio to take over development of Half-Life 3. Naughty Dog is the developer of highly-reviewed and popular PS4 exclusive titles The Last of Us and the Uncharted series. Half-Life 2: Episode 2, the most recent installment in the Half-Life franchise, was released in 2007. The highly acclaimed franchise was to receive a third episode to Half-Life 2 in 2008, but that, or the possible sequel Half-Life 3 have been the most conspicuous absence in the world of gaming for most of a decade. Valve, the tight-lipped developer of the Half-Life franchise, aside from a handful of concept art pieces and vague references, has yet to release any concrete information regarding the future of the series. Fans have long voiced their frustrations in forms of organized game-playing campaigns and constant use of the “Half-Life 3 confirmed!” meme, and this tweet seems to be more of the same from a fellow fan in the industry. Valve has not responded to the request.

For Honor gets new gameplay footage fresh out of TGS 2015
Fresh out of TGS 2015 today we have received a new trailer featuring gameplay footage of For Honor, Ubisoft’s new sword fighting, cooperative gameplay title. It’s a third person brawler which utilizes innovative controls in order to solve the sword fighting issues that have plagued console games forever. We still have no release date on For Honor yet, but it is scheduled to launch in 2016 on PS4, Xbox One as well as PC. For Honor uses different classes of warriors and this trailer focuses on the Oni, or Samurai. It focuses on the Kitana techniques utilized by the Oni as well as melee combat and evasive maneuverss. Although it’s made by a separate company, the grouping techniques of enemies on the screen resemble Ryse: Son of Rome with the exception that a higher majority of them are playable. For Honor will use multiple different teams of players from each class as well as AI fighters which will assist the human players on their team. The game’s offficial site has a full breakdown of each class but be sure to watch the Oni breakdown below. Let us know what you think https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S52lllZ1xpY
King of Fighters 14 announced by Sony
Sony has made one of those surprise announcements we were expecting at TGS this week. King of Fighters 14 was unveiled specifically for PlayStation 4. It will be in 3D similar to some previous titles in the franchise and will utilize the normal Japan first release before the U.S. Due for release in January, Japanese PS4 users will get the chance to play a lot earlier as there is currently no timetable for a western release yet. The teaser trailer isn’t too long, but we do get to see about 25 seconds of gameplay. Now, it’s been nearly five and a half years since King of Fighters 13 was released for the Xbox 360 and PS3 back in 2010 so there is a huge area of improvement to be made. We’ll keep you updated as we hear more information comes out of TGS this week.

There’s still no official release date for the headset, which is due for release at some point in early 2016. What are your thoughts on Playstation VR?
