Steam Stealth Sale Surfaces Sneakily
It’s only fitting that the Steam Stealth Sale would arrive unannounced. The online publisher is well known for its massive sales during the summers and winters, but is also known for its unpredictability. The Stealth Sale includes games known for giving players the opportunity to bring death and destruction quietly from the shadows. Franchises, such as Assassin’s Creed, Splinter Cell, and Deus Ex feature prominently, as well as others less associated with sneaking, but have some element of it nonetheless, such as Skyrim and Far Cry. All in all, 66 games are included at discounts up to 90% off. Many of the games, such as Crysis, the Ghost Recon series, and the Thief series are frequent tenants at Steam Sales, but there are also more recent titles you may have not had a chance to pick up, such as Outlast and Metal Gear Rising: Revengance. The Weekend Social playlist is going to be a great spot for us to engage the community and let them decide which modes get featured there. Some will be wacky just for the fun of it while others will be a bit more serious. We’re coming up with new ideas for modes every day. Brand new Friday the 13th game announced featuring 1 v 7 multiplayer
A brand new Friday the 13th game has just been announced for PS4, Xbox One and PC. It is currently on Kickstarter seeking $700K to make the game along with a host of unrevealed stretch goals. It will be a multiplayer only title using a 7 v 1 format where we get to control Jason himself. Our task will be to take out as many of the seven camp counselors as we can roaming about Camp Crystal Lake. It will be played in a third person format and feature some of the most brutal killing animations you can imagine according to developer Gun Media. Whether you want to sneak up and break a counselor’s neck from behind, slam them down on a body of spikes or just repeatedly smash their face into a tree your imagination is where the ability stops. Another piece of exciting news is Kane Hodder, actor in the Jason movies, will be playing the motion capture for Jason in the game to ensure some of the most true to life footage be shown in the game. Counselors will need to decide whether or not to fight Jason or run away and plan another strategy. After all, we all know how it works out for the counselor when they try and take the big guy on their own, right? The game is being developed using the Unreal Engine and is aiming for a mature rating. According to Gun Media “Collectively, we wanted to make certain that this game delivers the same kind of fun, brutal scares and creative kills that the franchise is known for and didn’t want to risk having to tell our story with a “T” for Teen rating. Halo API Announced
343 industries has announced a public stats API that will allow developers in the Halo community to incorporate stats and data from Halo 5 into websites and apps. The API has been in private beta and is currently being testing by ESL, MLG, and Halo Tracker. Stats that will be supported with the API: Service Record (Life-to-date stats for each player) Match History (Access to each match played) Carnage Report (Complete statistical breakdown for each player in a match) We should expect to see the API go public with the launch of Halo 5. As a developer, I know having tools that are open like this, allow a community to grow in a creative way. What are some websites, tools or apps that you would like to see made for Halo 5? PS4 Exclusive BloodBorne Is Getting A Game of the Year Edition
After being released earlier this year only on PlayStation 4. BloodBorne is getting a game of the year edition on November 25th, Which Includes, the main game and the upcoming story expansion “The Old Hunters” which has new environments, bosses and also lets players transform into beasts.
