Halo 5: Guardians Competitive Skill Ranking & Banhammer
The Competitive Skill Rating (CSR) system in Halo 5 is designed to ensure high quality matches between players of equal skill, on a per-playlist basis. When you first hop into any of the Arena playlists, you will play a series of placement matches before being earning your CSR. After you complete 10 games, you will be placed into one of 7 CSR ranks based on your performance. So after the beta the MP team have renamed some of the rankings based on the community feedback. The final ranks are: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Onyx, and Champion. After earning your starting rank, the ONLY way to increase your rank is by winning. For team-oriented playlists, this emphasizes the importance of team play. Whether you drop 30 kills in a game of Slayer or single-handedly capture every flag in a CTF match, wins are the only way to improve your CSR. As you win, you will progress through the 6 tiers of your rank. BRONZE SILVER GOLD PLATINUM DIAMOND ONYX CHAMPION At the highest end of the ranking system, they have the Onyx and Champion ranks which behave slightly differently than the other ranks. Once you reach Onyx, you will be shown your raw CSR score. Winning no longer increases your tier – it instead increases your CSR score. This allows you to compare yourself with greater precision to other players within the Onyx rank. If you establish yourself as one of the top 200 players in a playlist, you will earn the highly coveted rank of Champion and be shown your place within the top 200. BANHAMMER IS BACK If you repeatedly engage in negative behaviors such as the ones listed above, you will receive a ban and be prevented from entering matchmaking. Batman Arkham Knight DLC detailed through 2016, includes content from Batman Vs. Superman film
Some of the notable forthcoming content includes the 2016 Batman v Superman Batmobile Pack , available in November and includes the Batsuit and Batmobile from Warner Bros. Pictures’ upcoming film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. In December the Season of Infamy: Most Wanted Expansion missions will be available. These missions are similar in length to the Most Wanted missions in the game and will feature Mad Hatter, Killer Croc, Mister Freeze and Ra’s Al Ghul. Nintendo NX is a portable – console hybrid and dev kits are being sent out now
Although the official reveal will not come until next year, the Nintendo NX dev kits have begun being sent out to developers to begin prepping their games according to its specs. This isn’t exactly a surprise, but according to the Wall Street Journal the console includes both a console and portable gaming unit in a hybrid format. This makes sense as Nintendo has recently made a deal earlier this year to expand into the mobile platform. We still don’t know on what level the game will feature mobile either. Will we be able to take games with us from console and transfer back to it when we return? Normally, I would say no with Nintendo’s hardware but according to the report, the company is set to put “industry leading chips” in the unit after the Wii U’s lack of hardware and third party support. Many rumors have been flying around, especially after their patent for a discless console as well as both VR and AR support. We reached out to Nintendo but were told to wait until 2016 for more information. What do you guys want to see out of the NX? I’m sure we’ll get a new Zelda game as all consoles have featured a new Zelda game in the past, but will Zelda Wii U be renamed to launch on both consoles like Twilight Princess was on Gamecube and the Wii. Halo Channel launches for Windows Phone
The Halo Channel has been available on Xbox, Windows 8/10, iOS and Android for some time now. Finally, fans of Halo who happen to be a Windows Phone user can join in on the fun! With the Halo 5: Guardians launch just around the corner, more Halo fans can enjoy content on the go! This is your home for Halo. Giving the market of Windows Phone, it’s understandable why a Windows Phone version wasn’t a priority and that The Halo Channel hit other mobile platforms first. GTA Online: Lowriders Update!
Consoles: PS4, Xbox One and PC Update Release Date: Tuesday, October 20th Rockstar just announced their next update to GTA Online and prepare to now be chased in Lowriders. The new content update adds new customization to excite lovers of cars big and small. The content will include a new store, Benny’s Original Motor Works. This new custom shop will offer mods that will pimp your ride. The shop will offer: Half a dozen customizable vehicles New lowrider mods Interior design (Leather, velour, patterns and parts) Custom colours and designs HYDRAULICS Boost stereo performance The update will also offer new features that allow to use your newly found mods, these include: Open doors, hood and truck inside or outside your car Turn on the engine from outside your car Flash your neon lights and change radio Lamar will also be giving you some new missions to do with your crew.
