Star Wars: The Force Awakens table now available for Pinball FX2
Star Wars Pinball: The Force Awakens, is now available for Pinball FX2 on Xbox One and Xbox 360, and coming soon to Windows 10. Star Wars Pinball: The Force Awakens is an exciting two-pack that presents two different perspectives on the smash hit film. The first table, Star Wars Pinball: The Force Awakens, follows the events of the latest movie, teaming players up with members of the Resistance, including Rey, Finn and Poe as they take up arms against the First Order, led by Kylo Ren. It includes some unique features that were never seen before on Pinball Fx2. Star Wars Pinball: Might of the First Order, the second table in the pack, turns the tables by putting players in command of the mighty First Order. Teaming up with stormtroopers, including Captain Phasma (who is represented on the table with her own 3D model), players will expand their rule beyond the outposts of civilization and enforce the First Order’s will throughout the galaxy. The table features a two-level playfield with a special ball lock, and a Star Destroyer that players can control with a special magnetic upside-down ramp. Also good news, users can transfer purchases to their Xbox Ones, and very soon, their Xbox One purchases to Windows 10.
Deep Silver confirms Homefront: The Revolution release date after Target leak
Deep Silver revealed today that the anticipated upcoming open-world first person shooter, Homefront: The Revolution, will occupy North American retail stores on May 17th, 2016 and May 20th, 2016 in all other territories. Players looking to join the revolution early can sign up now to jump into a closed beta for Homefront: The Revolution, running exclusively on Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, in February of this year. A living, breathing, open world responds to your actions – you and your Resistance Cell can inspire a rebellion on the streets and turn Occupation into Revolution, as oppressed civilians take up the fight. But your enemy has the advantage – superior technology, firepower, heavy armor and air support. You must learn the art of guerrilla warfare – ambush, sabotage, infiltration, deception – and fight a running battle through the war-ravaged suburbs of Philadelphia. In the ‘This is Philadelphia’ trailer released today, citizens get their first chilling glimpse into the world of Occupied Philadelphia in the year 2029: The birthplace of American freedom has been split into three occupied zones, each zone varying in the level of KPA police activity with each unique zone forcing players to adapt new gameplay strategies in order to further the progress of The Revolution. The ‘This is Philadelphia’ trailer showcases the unforgiving Yellow Zone, distinct from the war-ravaged wastelands of the Red Zone, and the highly militarized Green Zones, the Yellow Zone is a densely populated environment offering a unique challenge and gameplay experience to would-be Freedom Fighters. Xbox One owners can sign up now to join the revolution in the exclusive Homefront: The Revolution closed beta. Places are limited, and the only way to gain access is through acquiring an Xbox One Beta Token; Deep Silver and Xbox will be running a number of promotions over the coming weeks that will offer the opportunity to claim a Token and take part. Your best chance of getting a Beta Token and staying informed of developments is by registering on the official Homefront website.
Pokémon Red and Blue getting 20th anniversary 3DS bundle
On February 27th Nintendo will be releasing a special 20th anniversary 3DS bundle for Pokémon Red and Blue, it is also the date when Pokémon Red, Blue, and Yellow are re-releasing on the Nintendo eShop as digital downloads. The 3DS bundle will come with all three games pre-installed, and a special Pokémon menu theme and also two cover plates. The 3DS version of Pokémon Red, Blue, and Yellow won’t be remakes, however, they will come packaged with online functionality. It’s hard to believe that it has been 20 years already but it has been a fun 2 decades with Pokémon. In Japan, fans instead have the option of four Pokémon-themed 2DS bundles to match the Red, Blue, Yellow and Greeneditions of the game. What are your thoughts? Will you be getting this bundle?
Sony's Let's Play Trademark Application has been Denied
Sony Computer Entertainment has been denied the right to trademark “Let’s Play” by the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Even though they had filed this in October but it just started going public a few days ago thanks to a NeoGAF user. USPTO refused the application on grounds of “likelihood of confusion,” as there is a similar mark already trademarked. Sony has not issued a statement regarding the intention behind the trademark, as reported earlier, some think that the company wants to use Let’s Plays as part of its PlayStation 4 streaming service. If this would have went through for Sony this would stop other companies from using it. Stay tuned for more information.
