HoloLens battery lasts up to 5.5 hours during normal use.

Microsoft have been inviting developers to experience HoloLens at the companies flagship store in New York City. Microsoft has been hesitant in providing details like retail availability, pricing, and battery life. Bruce Harris, a Microsoft Technical Evangelist, has shared some new details about the HoloLens headset, addressing some concerns and the battery life. In a video from an event in Tel Aviv, Harris claims the HoloLens will run for around 2.5 hours when pushed to its limits, and around 5.5 hours during normal use. Obviously HoloLens is a wireless device, it’s battery life will support Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connections to power the Windows 10 universal apps that run on the device. Harris explained that using the HoloLens will be similar to looking at a 15-inch monitor that’s around two feet from your view. Harris also reveals that you’ll be able to link several HoloLens devices together. Two or more HoloLens users will be able to examine the same object in real-time. Microsoft is planning on making the dev kits around $3,000 in the coming months.

Brian Horton leaves Crystal Dynamics and goes to Infinity Ward.

Rise of The Tomb Raider game director has left Crystal Dynamics and has gone to Call of Duty developer Infinity Ward. “After working on two amazing games, my family and I have decided to return to Southern California and start a new adventure.” Horton also worked as senior art director on the studio’s 2013 Tomb Raider reboot. Infinity Ward is expected to be working on the next Call of Duty game, as the last two entries in the series were developed by Treyarch and Sledgehammer. It’s going to be interesting what Infinity Ward comes up with because they haven’t had this much time to make a Call of Duty game before. Let’s hope it’s something different and unique. Rise of The Tomb Raider is coming to PC on January 28 and PlayStation 4 later this year. What are your thoughts on this news?

New screens leak for TMNT: Mutants in Manhattan

We’ve seen a bunch of information already for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan but ironically, the game hasn’t even been officially announced yet. They were initially rated in both Brazil and Australian ratings boards, then the full achievement list leaked. After all that, and now with new screen shots emerging today, we still have no confirmation from Platinum Games or Activision Blizzard on the game’s status. Rated for both Xbox and PlayStation platforms, Mutants in Manhattan will use the cell shaded animation similar to Transformers: Devastation. This makes it seem you are actually playing the TV cartoon version of the game and not simply CGI characters. Transformers was praised for its use of it and it allows for a more immersive feel, being that most people playing are used to seeing the cartoons on TV prior to playing the game. New screen shots were revealed to PureXbox showing off some of the characters as well as combat. You can see Beebop looks like the original version from the cartoon and the foot clan isn’t as high tech as the newest movies will have you believe. We’re still unsure of exactly when this game will release, but take a look at the screens below and we’ll let you know more as we hear.
