More information revealed about Warzone Firefight

We all know that Firefight originated back in Halo 3: ODST, but in Warzone Firefight its a bit different. IGN had the honors to play the game mode themselves. They stated in an article about everything they have learned while playing the Halo 5 game mode, and you can see some videos of them playing it by clicking here. So lets go over this new information. Warzone Firefight is an 8-player PVE mode in Halo 5, that will be releasing in the Summer. The main mission to do in this game mode is to complete 5 rounds in 5 minutes each. Each round will have an objective for you and your other allies to complete. These three objections can vary between fighting AI bosses, defending a base from capture, and eliminating a certain number of an AI. Each round gets progressively harder, with advanced enemies spawning more. With this you can also use your REQS to equal the playing field. If you complete a round you get rewarded with XP, Requsition points and energy. If you fail however, you have to restart from the beginning. Each player is very important if you want to succeed. At first it might seem that killing that Promethean Knight is easy with 2 people, but pretty soon you will realize that every player has a role. At round 5, Mythic bosses will appear. Who are very stronger than regular bosses, and have more abilities and health. Your whole team will have to be working together to take these suckers down. Even before round 5, every second will count to complete your objective. So don’t be shy and use your Mic. Coordination is key, an example of this would be telling one of your allies that you’re brining a scorpion out and that they should get a banshee to cover you during a boss fight. As mentioned before, Warzone Firefight will come out in the Summer, but a beta will be available during April 14-18. So be prepared to face your biggest challenge with your friends.

Microsoft is "ready" for Xbox One/PS4 cross-play

Its been a few weeks since Microsoft announced that they want to enable cross-play with the PS4 and Xbox1 with other platforms. And now they are saying that they are ready. Microsoft have already announced that Rocket League will be the first game to use this feature between the Xbox1 and Windows 10. Eurogamer did an interview with ID@Xbox’s European boss Agostino Simonetta. He generally stated that developers have a choice to cross-platform their game or not. “So, Rocket League is coming out. As for timing – well, as a platform we don’t force developers to release at any point – it’ll be when the developers are ready “ When asked if they are technically ready for cross-platform, Agostino had to say this. “Any title that wants to update their game to include cross-network play, any title that wants to launch soon and take advantage of that, we are ready.” Agostino treated cross-platform and play as an “option” for developers who are ready. Microsoft have openly invited developers to cross-platform their games, and even extended that to PlayStation Network. So far, Sony hasn’t said openly they will partake in the idea of cross-platform with Xbox, but have considered it. This idea of cross-platform might bring more options to gamers to be more closely connected, even though they are on different platforms. Maybe in the future you will be able to add your friends on different consoles and talk to each other. So far though it seems like only indie games will be part of cross-platform features. Would you like the idea to play with your friends even though they are on different platforms? or do you think it would decrease the value of owning one particular console/platform? We would like to know what you think.

Square Enix is canceling free to play game Nosgoth

Square Enix and Psyonix (developers of Rocket League), have announced that they are ceasing development of Legacy of Kain spinoff Nosgoth, which is a free to play game. The develoment of the game will entirely cease by the end of May. “It is with a heavy heart and an immense sense of sadness that we must announce the end of Nosgoth’s development,” Psyonix announced today. “Servers will continue to run until 31st May 2016, during which time you will be able to play the game as normal. After that date, Nosgoth will be taken offline for the last time.” The cancellation of Nosgoth might have been because the game didn’t get enough exposure on the market. Its hard for free to play games to receive any kind of popularity since other gamers are putting in a lot of time in other games. Nosgoth has also been released for quite awhile now, so interest of the game would have lowered over-time. If you so happen to have bought anything in-game since March, you will receive a refund within 2 weeks. The developers want you to know that this decision will not impact the Legacy of Kain series in any way. Source: Square Enix
