Xbox boss Aaron Greenberg, said in a tweet that the new “Microsoft” exclusive game Quantum Break, got 1st place in the UK gaming charts last week. Just got confirmation from team that @QuantumBreak was #1 @gfkcharttrack game last week in the UK across all formats! — Aaron Greenberg 🙅🏼♂️💚U (@aarongreenberg) April 10, 2016 The last game that hold the title was The Division, which had the crown for 4 consecutive weeks. Review: Stikbold! on Xbox One.
Game – Stikbold! Release Date – April 8th Platform – Xbox One Developer- Game Swing Price- $9.99 Stikbold! is a fun and random dodgbeball game that may at first get you thinking why am I playing this? Well, I can tell you that I did ask my self the same thing but when I continued the un-serious story I got into it. The game is a groovy 70s-themed single and local multiplayer fantasy dodgeball game with intense, quirky arenas and chaos-inducing random events which change the outcome of each round. It’s a little different from your regular dodge ball, from when I used to play to get your team member back you’d have to catch the ball. Well this time when one is down you have to stand by them for a few seconds to get them back up. The one thing is that when you vs the AI they can’t do that but you can also say the have more than 2 people on your team. When you first start playing they teach you how to throw the ball, how to hide from shots and more. The maps in Stikbold! have their own special side to them. When you start playing through the campaign you’ll notice each map has something going on such as a bus or a wave on the beach to mess you up which can become your best friend if you know the map right. When you first step on any map you’ll have some difficulty figuring out what happens for example, on the beach they have crabs and a wave that can weaken a player or there are jelly fish around the map to throw at the other team to get them off their game. Another note, all the maps seem to be the same size. Gameplay While I was questioning this game I was saying this art is not great but it works out great once you play it more you’ll realize the art isn’t the biggest issue. The controls are simple to understand which is always good for a new comer and someone who wants to learn fast. I feel the gameplay is smooth, I haven’t seen any choppy gameplay. At times the games you play can get competitive especially if you’re tied 2-2 and 3 is the tie breaker it happened to me a few times and this is a game where you rarely rage at. Also, when you are playing through the campaign you unlock some characters you beat from the round so it’s not always the same people on the team. Achievements When I was playing I had a hard time popping up achievements so they aren’t very easy. I’d rate them at a medium. [rwp-review id=”0″]
ARK Survival Evolved gets huge Xbox One update.
Studio Wildcard, the studio that never sleeps, has turned its eyes to the ever-growing Xbox One version of ARK: Survival Evolved today, with a slew of new updates and additions. Along with three new deadly creatures, the Woolly Rhino, Dunkleosteus, and Eurypterid, ARK: Survival Evolved will challenge players’ mettle by launching official Extinction Event Servers, adding the Swamp and Snow Cave-Dungeons, and more. All of the items in the update include: ·All PC content and fixes through PC v238 including new Cave-Dungeons for Snow and Swamp Biomes, new creatures: Woolly Rhino, Eurypterid, Dunkleosteus, etc. ·All-New “Extinction Event” Servers, which reset after each month, with an in-game countdown! (these are additional brand NEW servers, not existing servers) ·Improved game frame rate by approximately 10% (rendering & cpu) ·Fixed Bug: Focus is now NOT on the Leave Tribe button when opening the Tribe Menu. Also added a Leave Tribe confirmation dialog ·If you get stuck underground, you now teleport back above ground ·Mammoth colorization fixed ·Timer values that were resetting to 0 on “Reset Options” now reset to their correct value ·Server administrators can now specify a list of administrator users to have access to the full set of administrator (console) commands, as on PC. Singleplayer/Non-Dedicated hosts always have this option. If you have administrator access, all PC console commands can now be inputted at the Pause Menu ·Server Options now have edit boxes for inputting direct arbitrary values ·Spyglass now works properly in splitscreen By introducing the unpredictable furry Woolly Rhino, the armored, deep-water Dunkleosteus, and the chitin-rich Eurypterid, Studio Wildcard has introduced advanced ways to attack and defend, bulk up on armor, and to travel the deep seas with greater defenses than ever before. The Extinction Event official servers launching today will reset after each month, with an in-game countdown and dramatic meteor impact to signal the end! These time-limited servers are a great way for new players to start on a level playing field and a challenging gameplay choice for those who want to see how far they can progress before the end of days! Participants will earn badges to mark their accomplishment. Coelodonta utiliserro: Known as the Woolly Rhino, the Coelodonta is usually a large, friendly herbivore but can turn into a dangerous creature when charging its attackers. The Coelodonta builds up momentum as it charges, and depending on its ultimate impact speed, players can skewer the largest creatures in just one single gore! When not being hunted for their horns (ground into arousing powder) or fur (excellent insulating outfits), Coelodonta makes an excellent beast of burden. Its ability to take on far larger opponents (provided sufficient charging room), as well as its sizable load capacity, make it a solid addition to any trader party or gathering expedition. Dunkleosteus loricaruptor: Known simply as Dunkleosteus, this fairly large fish is covered head to tail in armored plates and has incredibly powerful jaws that make great work of stone and oil formations in the ocean’s depths. It’s an excellent battle fish that is heavy with armor and a terrifying bite that tears through chitinous shells. While harvesting, Dunkleosteus can handily defend its rider from all but the largest threats in the waters. And once past its prime, Dunkleosteus can be harvested for a fair amount of Chitin. Jaekelopterus eurypterus: Found only in the deepest watery depths on the ARK, “Eurypterids” are dangerous, adaptable Arthropods that, while not smart enough to be tamed, are rich in chitin and provide a debilitating poison that quickly renders its opponent unable to defend itself. Upon death, Eurypterid provides digestive tracts often containing Silica Pearls, or even have incredibly rare Black Pearls used for manufacturing mysterious technologies. This latter information makes them among the most valuable creatures on the island.
