PAX East 2016: Interview with developer of Mekazoo.
At PAX East 2016 we interviewed so many different developers and one of them was Good Mood Creators who worked on Mekazoo. Mekazoo is a throwback 2d platformer with vibrant and fully 3d worlds that can be explored and conquered with a kinetically diverse cast of Mekanimals. Mekazoo will be launching on PC, Xbox One, PS4, Mac, and Linux. We asked the Product Manager Mark Naborczyk some questions. Here they are: 1.) Is there any competitive play in Mekazoo? As of right now it is more for speed runs but we are looking to figure out how to get competitive multiplayer into Mekazoo. 2.) Was this the first time the company is showing off Mekazoo? It’s been at PAX Prime a few times but it made its debut at PAX East this year. 3.) What would you think people will enjoy most about the game? The look and feel of the game, especially the use of colors in the worlds really stood out to people while they played the game. 4.) How long would you say it’d take to finish the game completely? It takes 10-12 hours for a first time through, but the game can be ran through once the player is ready to speed run through it. 5.) Would there be any downloadable content for the game in the future? A few more worlds and two new animals will eventually be added before the next project. Follow them on Twitter
Rock Band 4 is getting an expansion and more updates
Harmonix, the developers of Rock Band 4 have announced some details about the game’s future updates. During this Fall, Rock Band 4 will be getting an expansion which will make improvements for the vast music library such as filtering, A basic rating system based on thumbs up or down, and having Xbox 360 ION Drum Rockers/E-kits support. This option will be available by a new adapter created by PDP, who are also releasing a new Rock Band guitar controller around that time. After the expansion, synchronous online multiplayer will be releasing around the holidays. This is only in the early design phase, but hopes to introduce players to a slightly modifies version of quickplay-style matches. More details about the expansion and online multiplayer will be revealed at this years E3. Next month will be the release of free DLC bandmasters, who will be Miko and Thorn from the game Battleborn, It will be interesting to see how their roles are portrayed since Thorn is more likely going to be a signer, while Miko is a guitarist. Support for a second pedal in drum sets will also be releasing in May. In June Practice Mode will come out, allowing players to slow down songs, and have vocal pitch guides to allow signers to do their best. If you want more information about these new updates then tune into this years E3, if you cant do that then we will surely make articles regarding Rock Band 4.
PAX East: Metrico+ Interview with developer.
At PAX East 2016 we got a chance to meet some cool developers and one of them was Digital Dreams. They worked on Metrico+ which is coming to PC, Xbox One, and PS4 soon. The developer was super busy so we couldn’t get as much as we wanted but we hope it gets you familiar with it. Metrico+ is a game about free will, taking place in a world of infographics. The Co-Owner/Level Designer Roy van de Mortel answered some simple questions at PAX East: 1.) What gave your game it’s look? The Metrico+ graphics are influenced from other games. 2.) What made the general premise of the games mechanics? Physics is influenced by a game jam: where ideas are thrown randomly for a game concept and devs make a small demo of the game. But the game was later in development after. 3.) How was the feedback at PAX East? People like it in the indie mindset. The concept is a fan favorite. 4.) Was there any other games the company has worked on before Metrico+? We’ve worked on other title, but this is our first major game as of right now. 5.) Will there be anymore titles coming from the team in the future? We are always working on new projects and ideas but time will tell.

Gears of War 4 Storage space revealed
It’s been a flurry of news activity for Gears of War fans lately, and with the beta out there is no exception. According to the Gears of War 4 ultimate edition (The bundle deal), it gives information on the beta, but also includes some information on the actual game and it’s preorder information. But that part doesn’t interest us. The part that people caught on to was the bottom of the information, which stated that ‘broadband internet is required to download, as well as 70-80 Gb of storage space’. Now let that sink in. The biggest Xbox one game so far is Halo: The Master Chief Collection at 63 Gb. And that included Halo 1-4 and a redefined Halo 2. That means this will be a HUGE game. Of course this number could be a placeholder, but it still gives us an idea of it’s storage space. Mind that Gears of War Ultimate Edition was only 45 Gb of space.
UK charts: Ratchet and Clank is on top!
It’s only been 3 days since the new Ratchet & Clank game hit UK stores, but people have took to it like a bird in air. The game has had an interstellar start as it hit shelves and it is the only game which has secured the series’ first ever number one game on charts, beating Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time by 3 spots! The franchise has been popular in the UK enough to float around up high in the charts, but this is it’s first time at No. 1, let alone in the top 3. It even outsold Dark Souls 3, which many people were hyped for since it released in Japan. The current UK sales charts sits at: Ratchet & Clank Dark Souls 3 Star Wars Battlefront (Riding along The Force Awakens DVD release) The Division EA UFC 2 Star Fox Zero Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 FIFA 16 Quantum Break DiRT Rally
