PlayStation 4 sold 18 million units last year.
We all know that PlayStation 4 has been leading the consoles in most sales. Revealed in Sony’s yearly financial briefing is that Sony’s sales are going up fast which is a good thing for them. Sony sold 17.7 million PS4s between March 2015 and April 2016 which brought up the hardware units sold to 40 million. It is also worth noting that the Nintendo Wii U has been out longer than the PS4 and has only sold 12.8 million units. We aren’t too sure about Microsoft’s numbers for the Xbox One but a recent estimate put that number at around 18 million in its lifetime. What are your thoughts on this? PAX East 2016: Hands on with Snow Horse.
At PAX East 2016 I got to meet very cool and unique indie developers with obviously unique games. One of those games was Snow Horse, developed by Christopher Figueroa. The title explains it all for the game, what you mostly do is do trick jumps while being a horse on a snow board. When I was at PAX I played Snow Horse on the Steam Machine using a Steam controller and I must say that was my first time using it and I got pretty comfy after trying it out for the first time. I got to play an early build of Snow Horse so obviously there were bugs and such but there were a few things I have learned about this game Customization I asked Chris about the customization for Snow Horse and what it will include. Well there won’t be any other animal in Snow Horse besides the Horse but we can expect hats like a Halloween mask, Santa hat, top hat, and a ton more. I don’t have pictures of Snow Horse currently to show you what the menu looks like. Maps In Snow Horse the best thing I have learned about it is that the game will include different type of maps such as the first one I played (I forgot what it was called) but you start off on this small bunny hill and as you go further there are different types of jumps to give you a chance to get a higher score. Towards the end you can hit this bowling pins to give you a chance for an even better score. From What I have learned the game is all about trying to do tricks and such to get the highest score as possible. Another map I thought was interesting and a neat idea was just for trying to do as many tricks in one big jump as you can for a big score. If I remember correctly it was in a arena which was completely different from the first one where it looked like you were in the middle of a mountain racing in the snow. So I like the difference in maps but it’s still keeping that theme. Other Another question I had for Christopher was that if this game will have multiplayer for things like racing and it wasn’t a surprise that there won’t be any multiplayer involved for the game, well at least for now. The game looks like it can be an enjoyable indie game for lots of us. Snow Horse is coming out on mobile devices, Steam, and soon coming to Xbox One.
