Madden NFL 17 Cover Athlete and First Trailer Releasing This Week.
Electronic Arts is planning on revealing the next Madden NFL 17 Cover Athlete and they also plan to release the first trailer. It will all be happening this week on ESPN SportsCenter specifically on Thursday, May 12, on the 3 PM PST/6 PM EST which is a neat idea since they are all big football fans there. EA tends to do good reveal times when it comes to the cover athlete such as the NHL 17 cover vote, every year they change it up which is nice. The three players that clearly have a chance to be on the cover is Cam Newton, Von Miller, and Todd Gurley. EA hasn’t made it clear who would make it and will keep the secret up until the revealing. Who do you think will be on the cover? Source
New Halo 5 Infection Gameplay Released with new details.
Gameinformer got to interview Unyshek from 343 Industries and Geoff Landskov about Halo 5’s new infection game mode that will be coming with the Memories of Reach update. From the gameplay video Geoff and John talk about what is new with infected such as the new traits for the infected, they will only have Thruster Pack instead of having all the spartan abilities. In fact, they will have a bigger jump and more speed. The gameplay shown was Alpha Zombies which is one of the variants, the infected on that mode are a bit invisible and with all zombie modes the infected will have this Pestilence effect that will follow them so you can tell the difference between human and infected. Yes, they also confirmed that you can toggle that off for custom games. There will be more of a variety when to comes to infected modes in matchmaking as well as community maps at launch. Another neat feature they are adding into Infection is that instead of having last man standing you can actually change it to last squad standing or last 2 standing so it can turn into a team based game but that’s optional for custom games. The longer you stay alive the more points you can get and I thought that was a neat idea so now you can really tell who is staying alive all game instead of checking the post-game record. Super Mario has finally come to Minecraft on Wii U.
In a match made in block-shaped heaven, Nintendo is partnering with Mojang and Microsoft to bring the imaginative worlds of the Super Mario series and Minecraft together. For the first time ever, players will be able to fend off blocky Hammer Bros. and Dry Bones the same way they do Creepers and Zombies. On May 17, the Super Mario Mash-Up Pack comes to Minecraft: Wii U Edition as a free game update. After downloading the update, players who own the Minecraft: Wii U Edition digital game, which launched last December, will have immediate access to new skins, a Super Mario-themed pre-made world and a set of Super Mario-themed music and item textures. All this new content is inspired by games in the iconic Super Mario series, such as Super Mario World, Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine. When the retail version of Minecraft: Wii U Edition launches in stores on June 17 at a suggested retail price of $29.99, the Super Mario Mash-Up Pack will be included on the disc. “Both the Super Mario franchise and Minecraft embrace the magic of exploration and discovery,” said Steve Singer, Nintendo of America’s Vice President of Publisher & Developer Relations. “Players will have a great time adventuring and creating in this free game update that embraces the unique and memorable elements of both franchises.” The Wii U version of Minecraft features the full game, as well as many of the most popular previously released content packs for no extra charge. Downloading the Super Mario Mash-Up Pack gives players 40 new Super Mario-themed skins, which transform the game’s characters into familiar heroes like Mario, Luigi and Princess Peach, and even troublemakers like Bowser, Wario and all seven Koopalings. All the world and item textures in the game will also be redone, providing players the opportunity to create their own Super Mario-themed locations within the world of Minecraft. While building, players will even enjoy listening to the smooth sounds of 15 pieces of music from Super Mario 64. Builders of all ages will love crafting massive new worlds using building blocks inspired by a series as accessible and recognizable as Super Mario.

Batman returns: The arkham HD collection
So apparently a HD recollection of all the Batman games in the arkham trilogy is the worst kept secret. RockSteady have tried to deny it, but with ratings and release dates everywhere, it’s kinda pointless. But anyway, in a gaming magazine the leak has pretty much confirmed the game’s cover and it’s name: Batman: Return to Arkham. It gave details for a June release, and it looks like DLC will be included in the ‘not happening’ collection. Source
Battlefield 1: First DLC free!
We have more Battlefield 1 news, but this one should be a relief to everyone who wants to play it. So Battlefield DID announce a DLC coming shortly after launch. But you could get it 7 days early with the Origin pre order bonus, then coming available to everyone else after the 7 days. But now we know that it’s free, we can relax a little. Will this be EA’s plan for the rest of Battlefield’s DLC, or are they giving us a taste of what the future DLC might be and if it’ll convince us to buy the rest. The game has been rescheduled to release on October 21, coming to Playstation, PC and Xbox One. Source
