BREAKING NEWS: It has been announced that Disney will be shutting down its video game line, Takes $147 million charge. It has been reported via a tweet from Ben Fritz: Disney cancels struggling Infinity video game line. Takes $147 million charge. End of Disney as video game publisher. — Ben Fritz (@benfritz) May 10, 2016 John Blackburn, senior vice president and general manager of the Disney Infinity franchise, said that there would be two final releases from the line. “The company has been completely behind Disney Infinity. If you look at all of the creative content coming out this year, you can see they are still proud and still 100 percent behind us”. “Disney Infinity will support all of the major events and theatrical releases at Walt Disney in 2016,” Vignocchi said. “This year we will release four new playsets, each introducing unique gameplay for the platform. Each of the playsets will represent new content from our core properties.” It also looks like Disney will not be self-publishing games anymore. Disney Infinity almost seemed popular with its well known figures that started a trend and now Amiibo has taken over that category. These Disney Infinity figures are going to go up in value once they stop production.

Next Need For Speed coming in 2017.

Ghost Games have put out a statement regarding Need For Speed and what plans are ahead as far as projects and content updates. During this update they have stated that they are now building upon the foundations that have been laid with Need for Speed and will be delivering the next game in 2017. They also stated that the SpeedList update will be the last free content update for Need For Speed. “Since we released Need for Speed last November, we’ve been humbled by the support from our players and the ongoing collaboration with you. We have learned so much from your feedback, and much of that has gone on to shape the free content updates to NFS. Features such as Manual Transmission, Wrap Sharing, Snapshot Pro, SpeedLists, Customization items, bigger garage and more came directly from your suggestions”. The community it self has accomplished a lot by collecting over 9.8 billion REP points, taken over 35 million Snapshots, raced in over 10 million Drag Races, and beaten a total of 52 million Eddie’s Challenge Events. Review: JumpJet Rex

Release Date – April 29, 2016 Platform – Xbox One (Reviewed), PC Developer/Publisher – TreeFortress Games Price- $9.99 When I first turned on JumpJet Rex I got that old school gaming vibe of the art style and the music the game has. Also when I first stepped into it I kind of found the intro to be funny with the little storyline of ‘Dino-nauts’ which is replacing astronauts since the game takes place in space and you’re a Dinonaut. If you’re a fan of old-time games then JumpJet Rex is a game for you. Gameplay When you start the storyline it’s a pretty basic level you start on since there are guides that say to tap A repeatedly to be able to jump on the ledge,  hold B to butt drop, X to dash, Y to float up, hold LB and RB at the same time to swing your body at enemies which is useful as you progress. Another part of the game I like is not only to finish the map/level the fastest but to collect as many coins as possible. Once you keep on collecting coins from each level and when you play it over and over again they will add up so you can buy attachments for your character such as a Ninja Turtle hat. As you progress through the game it gets very difficult and you will realize you’ll need to get 3 stars on a lot of the early levels because you need certain stars to go further into the game. To get 3 stars you have to complete the level, complete it without dying, and beat the time they give you. In order to complete a level you have to go through every ring in the map or else something will not open up to progress to the end. It’s almost like a speed running game which I like and it actually gets me sweaty at times. Of course, if you want to complete the game you have to get through bosses, in order to reach them there are these sections of levels separating each other, and in order to reach the next wave I guess you can say you have to fight a boss. I found fighting the first boss very difficult but it’s very possible to beat him it may just take you a few tries. Not only is JumpJet Rex single player you can also play Co-Op and there is also an Arena and Race mode.  This is a game I’d rate in my top 10 indies of 2016 so far. The visuals of the game I like because it reminds you of the older games in the past, good mix of music with it as well and I think the game plays very smoothly, it’s a very easy game to get used to. Achievements The achievements in JumpJet Rex have some challenging ones and some will involve getting stars, defeating bosses, doing combos, getting an x amount of coins, etc. So I’d rate this game at a medium-hard for its achievements. Resident Evil 7 might be on the way

Have you heard it? There’s been a rumor in the works… Ok enough with the Star Wars 7  references, but the internet has been investigating how CAPCOM’s phrasing of their financial review could be the potential return of the Resident Evil series.  Here’s their quote: “In the fiscal year ending March 31, 2017, the Company is scheduled to release ‘Resident Evil Umbrella Corps’ (for PlayStation 4 and PC) of the “Resident Evil” series, which marked its 20th anniversary in March 2016, as warm up to the full-scale offensive planned for the second half of the year”. – CAPCOM So far we have no idea what the ‘Full-scale offensive’ might mean, but I think THEY went with the Star Wars reference this time, so they might be going on a video game release spree and try to make the nostalgia money or just try get more people into their games *Real talk: I really liked the Phoenix Wright games* But yeah with E3 coming up we’re going to get A LOT of news from various companies, so prepare your military-grade bunkers and prepare the harpoons.

Battlefield: Top of Youtube!

Well, we’ve finally done it. We made a gaming video that isn’t even out yet… Top of the Youtube likes videos. It’s only been less than a week for the Battlefield 1 trailer, and it has hit over 22 million views, and breaking the Youtube likes record with a whopping 1.17 (Sneaky Halo reference ;D) Million likes! Youtube stats were researched and people found that info like that! So this means a lot for battlefield, cause remember, it’s only been 3/4 days since it’s release. And it comes out on October, 5 months from now, so it’ll grow to EXPONENTIAL growth and might be one of the biggest games in history, dare I say. Oh yeah, and the Call of Duty Infinite Warfare trailer sits wth over 1million likes, becoming the 8th most disliked Youtube video ever. We can see where that’s going.
