The Division Movie Announced By Ubisoft
With one of Ubisoft’s biggest titles Assassin’s Creed making it to the big screen in December most people are already skeptical about another video game movie will flop like others have before. But that hasn’t stopped Ubisoft from trying to remove the embarrassing brand video games have had since the 1980s from films like Super Mario Bros and Mortal Kombat. Ubisoft has announced that a film based on their latest title The Division will have a film made on it featuring actors Jessica Chastain and Jake Gyllenhaal. And this wouldn’t be Gyllenhaal’s first debut in a Ubisoft titled film, he actually played the protagonist Dastan in the 2010 game-based movie Price Of Persia: The Sands Of Time. Currently the film is in preproduction and has no official date for when the movie will be out in theatres. And partnered with Freckle Films and Nine Stories, the film seems to have promising backing for when production starts. Stated by the Ubisoft Motion Pictures CEO Gerard Guillemot on the announcement on the film, he says: “Attaching Jake and Jessica is part of our development philosophy of working closely with top talent from the earliest stages to collaborate on a high quality film.” With just a taste on what Ubisoft has shown with the new world from the Tom Clancy Universe, it will be pretty interesting to see how the post-apocalyptic world will be implemented to the big screen. But until then, you can get a feel for what Ubisoft has coming for us with the upcoming Assassin’s Creed film that will be in theatres December 21, 2016.
Titanfall has sold more than 7 million units.
In late 2015 Vince Zampella, who is one of the heads of Titanfall had said “Celebrating 10 million”, but none of us knew if it was 10 million sold or shipped. Turns out it was 10 million players instead of sales across Titanfall. Celebrating 10 million! Thanks to everyone, we love you all! pic.twitter.com/lZ10vCtY2A — Vince Zampella (@VinceZampella) October 2, 2015 Blake Jorgensen, the CFO at Electronic Arts has stated the game sold over 7 million copies on Xbox One. Titanfall did a little more than 7 million units last time. It was early in the cycle and one of the few titles out there Respawn should feel good about its upcoming release of Titanfall 2 as they will be launching the game on PlayStation 4 and PC for the first time as the first Titanfall was an Xbox One exclusive. The sale numbers for the game could get even higher now that the game will have a story and an even better multiplayer. Source Did you like this news? Xbox team is publishing a music app that plays off USB/HD for background music.
UPDATE: USB background music player is available on Xbox One. Just go to Go to Store, Apps, search for background to find it. The Xbox team is publishing a music app that plays off USB/HD for background music, those words were from Xbox’s Mike Ybarra who has been apart the latest Xbox One update which introduced, background music, Cortana, UWP apps, and more. The feature where you could upload music via USB was previously on Xbox 360 and it’s great to see them bring it back. Since the Xbox One launched in 2013, it has failed to bring background music. Yes, you could listen snap Youtube and snap all these other apps that you could listen to music on. The problem with that it had to be snapped, but now the console has it and as Mike Ybarra recently tweeted you will be able to create and publish your own UWP apps on Xbox One. The creations will be interesting to see for sure. https://twitter.com/XboxQwik/status/760856459013869569
