343i welcomes in new Community Manager
Yesterday, 343 industries’ Bravo made a community update talking about future updates and in that blog he announced the new Halo Community Manager. He was previously a CM for Halo back in the Bungie days and 6 years later now he is back with 343 this time. His name goes by Ske7ch (Brian Jarrard) and now with there being a new community manager, Bravo has moved up to Senior Producer. As for me, I'll be moving behind the scenes a bit as a Senior Producer here on the team. Thank you all for the past few years!! 💙 — Andy "Bravo" Dudynsky (@Brav) October 29, 2016 They also had a little Q&A with Brian: As the end of my first week at 343 comes to a close, it’s a very surreal feeling to pick up this torch and jump back into the Halo community after a nearly six-year hiatus. A lot has changed during my post-Bungie cryosleep and this week has brought a veritable flood of emotions bursting with spores of excitement, nostalgia and honestly, a sprinkle of trepidation. Thankfully some things haven’t changed – namely my longstanding love of Halo, a kickass fan community and a community team comprised of awesome passionate folks who love their jobs! I’ve truly missed being an official part of Halo and while I did briefly mull over making a run at becoming the oldest ever HCS pro I’m thrilled that 343 spared me that humiliation and instead welcomed me into this more suitable role. It’s safe to say the community team now has a brand new worst Halo player to beat up on (though I’m pretty certain I can still crush Frankie). It will certainly take some time for me to unlock all the necessary 343 community certs (sadly I seem no closer to finally acquiring a DMR) but it’s a journey I’m stoked to be starting and look forward to learning and experiencing together. We can’t wait to see what Brian does with the Halo community again! You can read more here.
Gaming networks working together for a great cause.
As the head of Rectify Gaming I am thrilled to announce for the first time we will be doing a charity stream for Extra Life. We are partnering up with NJOYover9K, MulehornGaming, and Geekologist Radio to do a 24 hour stream. We have a goal set to $500 to raise in this event and we hope we can go even higher, here is the donation page. We may have some giveaways during this stream as well and make sure to catch the stream at Twitch.tv/rectifygaming and any donation is acceptable. We’d like to thank EA, Ubisoft, and Microsoft for donating games to giveaway during this stream. We’ll be giving away games like The Division, Halo 5, Halo MCC, Titanfall 2, and hell of a lot more. Not only are we having giveaways, but we are having 2 special guests from 343 industries. They go by the names of Unyshek and Jeff Easterling. Jeff will be coming in on the opening slot with TwiztedShotzTV at 12 AM and Uny will be coming on with Tyboy from 5-8 PM EST. We will be playing Halo 5 custom games with them and most likely matchmaking. We will be opening up the stream with TwiztedShotzTV at 12 AM EST and closing with ChrisNunes from Mulehorn Gaming/Geekologist Radio. Full times below:

Titanfall 2 PC players estimated to be 2% of the total amount of Battlefield 1 PC players
The launch of Titanfall 2 for PC looks like it didn’t go so well as Respawn expected. According to iDigitalTimes, the title’s main-lobby PC user base is/was well under 1,000 active players. A quick look at the game’s official networks page produced similar results. There are about another 1,000 spread across dozens of smaller groups. Each of those groups has its own matchmaking. It’s only been a day so in a week these numbers could go up since Skyrim Special Edition launched on the same day and Battlefield 1 launched a week prior. Battlefield 1’s current PC audience at the time of writing is about 119,000+ strong. Titanfall 2 currently has about 2 percent of what DICE’s product has already earned. Early indications are that Titanfall 2 will be much more popular on console than what’s happening on Origin. It’s still really early so this could all change fast. Stay tuned for our Titanfall 2 review.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare & Modern Warfare Remastered listings spotted in the Windows Store
When fans first heard that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered was coming out alongside Infinite Warfare they were pretty excited, however Activision made the choice harder for fans as you had to buy a special edition of Infinite Warfare in order to play MW Remastered. Well recently a listing has popped up on the Windows store showing Call of Duty Infinite Warfare and Modern Warfare Remastered sold separately. Both of these photos are provided from Windows Central and Segment Next There has been no word from Microsoft or Activision why this is popping up, but this may indicate something for the future and maybe sooner than we thought. Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare is scheduled to launch on November 4, 2016 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
Nintendo's President Releases New Details About The Switch
The president of Nintendo, Tatsumi Kimishima, came forward today and released a few more details about the Nintendo Switch, undoubtedly due to the drop in Nintendo’s stock since the Switch reveal. In an interview with Bloomberg, Kimishima said of the reveal trailer, “By no means was that everything.” Kimishima went on to say that there will be more hardware involved than shown in the trailer, stating “It may be appropriate to call them accessories. Or it might be better to call them add-on hardware. It’s probably more correct to call them accessories. You can assume that there will be a wider array.” Unfortunately, he did not say more on this subject. Fans have made many speculations on what this could mean, from different controller attachments specific to games, much like the Wii had, to backwards compatibility. One other thing Kimishima did say was that they can’t show the software lineup yet. He stated that they want people to wait and experience the software demonstration in January before showing off their game lineup. All we can know for certain is that the Switch has generated a lot of interest and speculation, and the mystery only amplifies the hype!
