After Tuesday's Windows 10 debacle with Forza Horizon 3, we have some leaks and ideas about possible cars
It’s fair to assume that today’s update for Forza Horizon 3, which was intended to introduce the Rockstar Car Pack for players on Xbox One and Windows 10, did much more than that by doing so much less. First, the update went largely according-to-plan for Xbox users, but PC users were met with a full-game re-download (my queue personally had it at just under 59 GB). The build was halted server-side and Turn 10’s Brian Eckberg posted about it on the Forza forums advising users mid-download to stop and to not create new game profiles for fear of file corruption. What Eckburg obviously wouldn’t have told us consumers is that the build of, not update to, Forza Horizon 3 comes from within Turn 10 Studios. After a few hours, people who were successful in downloading the accidental release pulled it apart and code-picked, looking for spoilers, hints, and anything special. What people were able to uncover were a rather sizable list of cars possibly slated to join Horizon 3’s garage lineup. The full list of cars include the 2017 Aston Martin DB11, 1959 BMW 507, 1971 Chevrolet Vega, 2013 Dodge Dart, 2017 Lamborghini “Bellissima”, 1969 Lola T70, 2005 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren, 1956 Porsche 356 A, 1956 Porsche 550 Spyder, 2012 Porsche 911 GT2 RS, 2004 Porsche 911 GT3 (996), 2012 Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0, 1982 Porsche 911 Turbo 3.3, 2014 Porsche 911 Turbo S, 2014 Porsche 918 Spyder, 1989 Porsche 944 Turbo, 1987 Porsche 959, 2003 Porsche Carrera GT, 2012 Porsche Cayenne, 2015 Porsche Cayman GTS, 2015 Porsche Macan Turbo, 2016 Vauxhall Corsa VXR, and 1983 Volvo 242 Turbo Evolution. Needless to say, today’s update for Windows 10 was a development build, as players have gotten into cars like the Porsche Carerra GT and have diagnostics running across their screens in yellow text. But what today’s update tells us is that, while none of the cars listed above are guaranteed to be in an update in the future, the teams at Turn 10 Studios and Playground Games have been looking into adding some Porsche flair to Horizon 3’s Australia. Also, as it may need to be repeated: no, the Bugatti Chiron is not among the leaked cars, and it wasn’t among the files, screenshots below. For now, we don’t know what the next update will hold, nor when exactly an update to fix the development build’s presence as well as add today’s Rockstar Car Pack to the game will be offered to users. At time of writing, Eckburg has yet to post another update regarding the situation on the Forza forums, and the Windows Store has stopped offering any updates for Horizon 3 on PC. Should that change, we’ll update the post linked here. Source and Images: Reddit

Forza Horizon 3 owners on Windows 10 experiencing issues with latest update [Update: fixed, new version available]
Update 06/01/2017 As of 10:15 this morning, Turn 10 has pushed a new updated version of Forza Horizon 3 to Windows 10 PC users, bringing the version to 1.0.39.2. First seen on Twitter, the team notified users that the update will unify those who both did and did not download the broken update on Tuesday, as well as add the promised Rockstar Energy Car Pack that was supposed to release on Tuesday. The original tweet is included just below, so go check those downloads and get driving in the latest car pack. The updated PC version of #ForzaHorizon3 (version 1.0.39.2, which includes the Rockstar Car Pack content) is now available for download. — Forza Motorsport (@ForzaMotorsport) January 6, 2017 Update 05/01/2017: Ekburg has updated his original post with further information regarding the broken update for Windows 10’s Forza Horizon 3 update on Tuesday. Ekburg writes that the developers at Turn 10 are working to prepare the correct update for PC users and, though it will not release today, he is hopeful that it will be available “as early as tomorrow”. He preceded this by saying he doesn’t know or have a precise ETA for the update’s release, but that he will again update his post on the forums, linked as our source at the bottom, when he does and the update is rolling correctly. Original article: Earlier today, Turn 10 Studios announced and released the latest car pack, the Rockstar Car Pack. During the first hour of the stream on the Forza team’s Beam and Twitch channels, fans on Windows 10 were reporting issues with the download. While the typical update size for Forza Horizon 3 for a car pack is between 3 and 5 GB, this update asked Windows 10 users to download the entire 50+ GB game. Turn 10 Studios is aware of the problem, and actively working on remedying it. According to Turn 10’s Community Manager Brian Ekberg, “The incorrect PC version of FH3 has now been removed and replaced. PC Players who have the FH3 version ending with .37.2 should immediately uninstall that version of the game, then re-install. The correct playable version should end in .35.2.” This update comes at just after 1:30 p.m. PST, and there is an interesting aspect to note if you have already downloaded the .37.2 update. Ekberg notes that if you already had a saved game profile and continued that profile in .37.2, there is currently no known problem. The problem, he explains, occurs when a player creates a new game save in the .37.2 update, because that file will be corrupted. As of now, Forza Horizon 3’s .37.2 update has been pulled from the store, with .35.2 being the most up-to-date version. There have not been any remarks made regarding the release of a fixed update. We’ll update the post when new information is revealed, so check back throughout the day to stay up-to-date. Source: Brian Ekberg via Forza Forums
Rockstar Car Pack now available in Forza Horizon 3
While it’s no news that January would welcome yet another selection of seven cars into the Australian race-dream that is Forza Horizon 3, it was great to get confirmation that the long-anticipated and highly-whined-for BMW i8 would be among the seven. Today, the team at Turn 10 Studios are launching the Rockstar Car Pack. The Rockstar Car Pack has a wide selection of cars, from track-intended downforce monsters to trophy trucks, to hybrid supercars and yet another Skyline. Let’s start with the models included this month. January brings with it the 1972 Ford Falcon XA GT-HO, 1987 Nissan Skyline GTS-R (R31), 2014 Ford #11 Rockstar F-150 Trophy Truck, 2015 Volvo V60 Polestar, 2015 Radical RXC Turbo, 2015 BMW i8, and 2016 Bentley Bentayga. Obviously, there’s only one Rockstar car, but all these cars are rockstars in their own right. The Ford Falcon is an odd four-door race-ready sedan with a history of being illegal in Australia for dangerously high speeds. The Skyline (R31) is a maintenance car, helping Nissan to continue race-level performance in their manufacturing lines. The F-150 Rockstar Trophy, with its bowed front axels and victory in the Baja 100, will be a proud, 850hp addition to any valley- and mountain-crawling collection. Polestar is Volvo’s racing division, and with only 80 ever made and each having 345 horsepower, this four-door would make any family road trip an epic sprint. Radical’s RXC Turbo is another track-toy for fans, as it is held to the road by as much downforce at top speed as it has horsepower (hint, it’s 2,000). The Bentley Bantayga, sharing a name with a peak in the Canary Islands, is a car that many will only ever see the backseat of, and drivers now have the chance to be the chauffeur / racer of their dreams. Finally, we come to the popular star of this month’s car pack, the BMW i8. The i8 has an all-carbon fiber body so it’s as light as it is streamlined. It’s also got an interesting duo of engines: an electric front-wheel system paired with a 1.5-Liter turbocharged affair handling the rear wheels. As with other Car Packs, you can pick it, or any of the composite cars, up individually for $0.99 for individual cars, $6.99 for the whole pack, or as part of the Car Pass for $29.99. Once the pack launches, Turn 10’s John Schommer will be showing off the cars on Forza’s Twitch and Beam channels today, so if you’re not sold yet, go check the stream out. Source: Forza Team
Xbox Live Rewards Lists Injustice 2 for A March 2017 Release
UPDATE: Creative Director at NetherRealm had tweeted that Injustice 2 will not launch on March 28, 2017. That’s not to say it won’t launch before that date in March or even launch a month after. We will wait and see for an official word. FYI: Injustice 2 is not coming out March 28. — Ed Boon (@noobde) January 3, 2017 It looks like there has been a little hint which was probably a mistake by Microsoft, Xbox Live Rewards had Injustice 2 set for a release on March 28th, 2017. Injustice 2 was announced back at E3 2016 in June. This might seem like an unlikely timeframe for a game to release, but NetherRealm are known to announce a game in the Summer and have it come out within the first quarter of the year like with Mortal Kombat X. Not only did they reveal the possible release date for Injustice 2, but they had Mass Effect: Andromeda set for March 31st. We have heard different dates for Mass Effect and it seems likely the game will come out at some point in March. Image below:
Rabbids Kingdom Battle is the name of the Rabbids and Mario RPG, could be pushed to September
Over a month ago now Laura Dale reported back that Ubisoft is making a Rabbids and Mario crossover RPG as a launch day Nintendo Switch game. Well now the title is going to be called Rabbits Kingdom Battle and it maybe delayed rather than launch day one for the Switch. The game will be available to play for press in January and will feature a quicksave system to ensure that saving is possible on short notice if the battery on the Switch handheld is running low. Another part of the press demo includes the JoyCons vibrating to imply a Rabbid jumping into and out of them from the TV or handheld screen. Ubisoft looks to be a big supporter of the Nintendo Switch with Beyond Good and Evil 2 being timed exclusive to the console for a year. Rabbids Kingdom Battle is the title of that Rabbids Mario Rabbids RPG. I have one source telling me it may get pushed to September. — Laura Kate Dale – Mastodon "@LauraKBuzz@tech.lgbt" (@LaurakBuzz) January 3, 2017

The Amazing Spider-Man 1 and 2 has been taken off the Nintendo eShop
UPDATE: The Amazing Spider-Man 1 & 2 has been removed from the Xbox and PlayStation Store. If you were for some reason looking to get The Amazing Spider-Man 1 or 2 from the Wii U eShop, your chance has come and gone. Both of those titles have been removed from the Wii U eShop, as well as Nintendo.com. The reason why they had to take it down from the store was that the license had expired so now the only way to get these titles are from used copies. Source
