Halo 5's Classic Helmet REQ Pack will be $9.99 or 150k REQ points
Next week on February 9th, Halo 5 will be receiving a new update that will bring in 9 classic helmets from previous games including CQB from Halo 3 and Pilot from Halo Reach. It was announced in the latest Halo blog post that the Classic Helmet REQ Pack will cost $9.99 or 150,000 REQ points. All nine classic helmets will be exclusively available in the one, single REQ Pack. The helmets will also be in gold packs so you aren’t forced to buy all nine at once. Michael Pachter has said that Sony's first party lineup is the most impressive right now
Many times in the recent past Sony have stated that their lineup is going to be the best we have ever seen. Michael Pachter, Wedbush Securities analyst believes that Sony’s first-party lineup is the best in the industry right now. The controversial clairvoyant said that the Japanese giant’s been teasing fans for years now, and it’s culminated in an impressive collection of in-development software. In the next few weeks Horizon Zero Dawn by Guerrilla Games will be launching and has the potential to be one of the best games of 2017. Sony has released games like Gravity Rush 2 and Nioh already and apparently will have even more come Summer and Fall with games like God of War and Crash Bandicoot N-Sane Trilogy. Source
For Honor season pass details released in new trailer
Ubisoft released all of the details surrounding the For Honor season pass today, including for the first time putting all of the content out on launch day. Everything other than the playable heroes,which are broken down below, will be included on release February 14th, 2017. The For Honor Season Pass can be purchased alongside the full game or through the Gold Edition. The contents of the For Honor Season Pass include: Six all-new Heroes available seven days before released to all players Six elite outfits to customize the new Heroes Day One War Pack One exclusive sunbeam effect on emotes for all Heroes Three exclusive emblem outlines Three scavenger crates to unlock additional gear 30-day Champion Status that gives XP boosts to friends, more XP from crafting and additional end-match loot All Season Pass content, except the six post-launch Heroes and their elite outfits, will be available at launch on February 14, 2017. The new Heroes will be progressively released by batches of two at the beginning of a new Season of the Faction War – the persistent cross-platform metagame that will evolve the war across the world of For Honor. After this early-access period, these Heroes can be unlocked via Steel, the For Honor in-game currency given for completing matches and in-game challenges. Additional free content will also be released across three Seasons following launch. This post-launch content, including new maps, modes and gear, will be available for free to all players. Season Pass holders will receive early access to some elements of this post-launch content. Players looking to hone their skills before launch can join the For Honor Open Beta from February 9 to February 12, 2017. This beta will include the new Elimination mode, a best of five rounds four-versus-four match with no respawns. Elimination joins three additional modes playable in the open beta including Dominion, Brawl and Duel, and nine playable Heroes. At launch, For Honor will feature twelve playable Heroes and five different multiplayer modes.
Rocket League has passed 26 million players, toys are also coming.
Rocket League keeps on growing, toys are now on the way. Developer Psyonix and toy company Zag Toys today announced an agreement to make toys based on the popular soccer-with-cars game.These first toys are “pull-back” racecars that zip across a surface. These include Octane, Dominus, Masamune, Hotshot, Grog, X-Devil, Merc, and Backfire, as well as others that feature different designs. All 12 of these cars go on sale in Spring 2017 at stores across North America, they come packaged inside of the Rocket League ball. Additionally, some of the toys will contain a code for an “exclusive” Rocket Trail and wheel that can be redeemed in Rocket League. Psyonix have also announced that they have passed 26 million registered players. It is great to see a game grow like Rocket League has been. We still don’t know if the game will come to the Nintendo Switch, but Psyonix is excited for the console so maybe in the future.
LEGO Dimensions details on Goonies, LEGO City Undercover and more revealed in new trailer
Warner Bros and Tt Games revealed the newest details on Wave 8 of LEGO Dimensions today, to release this May 9th on Xbox One. Wave 8 of the game will include The Goonies level pack, Harry Potter Fun Pack with Hermoine Grainger and LEGO City Undercover Fun Pack with Chase McCain. Each will of course have an accompanying vehicle/item allowing three different rebuilds through the upgrade menu. Goonies Level Pack Includes Sloth with a rebuildable One Eyed Willy pirate ship and Skeleton bone organ. (One that Annie played in the movie) Play through the entire level, which features Sloth and Chunk escape from the Fratelli hideout before meeting up with the rest of the Goonies members to find the treasure New Battle Arena and Adventure World featuring Mikey’s house, Goon Docks and the One-Eyed Willy treasure cave Use all seven Goonies members once you beat the level; Mouth, Data, Mikey, Brad the whole crew Harry Potter Fun Pack Hermoine Grainger with Buckbeak, current Battle Arena and Adventure World already unlocked through Harry Potter and Voldemort LEGO City Undercover Chase McCain figure with helicopter Battle Arena and Adventure World with police department and moon base The remaining LEGO Dimensions for this season Wave 9 should be released in Summer in June. Sony Corporation has revealed it's quarter 3 results for the fiscal year 2016/17
Sony Corporation has revealed its financial results for the third quarter of fiscal year 2016/17, showing a 54% decrease in profit. That’s despite a strong performance from Sony’s Game & Network Services division, which includes the PlayStation brand. Game & Network Services division recorded a 5.2 percent increase in sales to $5.325 billion for the three months ending December 31, 2016. Sony attributes the year-on-year increase to a rise in PS4 software sales and the contribution of PlayStation VR after its launch in October. Sony Pictures also took a $913 million loss. Sony has that the 2016 holiday season for PlayStation Network was also strong with revenues being up 40% YoY. According to ZhugeEX on Twitter, Sony has said that they can leverage IP’s from the Games segment for Sony Pictures (E.g. Uncharted movie). Sony has also said they won’t be selling Sony Pictures and that it remains committed to turning Sony Pictures around. Sony also plans to expand it’s television business at Sony Pictures, and hopes that the upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming and Jumanji will make for a better year then 2016 was. Sony Corporation recorded an operating income of $796 million, down from $1.80 billion for the same three-month period in 2015. Revenue also dropped, but by a lesser amount. Crash Bandicoot N-Sane Trilogy for PS4 is coming this Summer according to leaks
The Crash Bandicoot N-Sane Trilogy could be coming this Summer on PlayStation 4 according to some leaks. The new Crash Bandicoot game was initially rumored to release in late February, but now two retailers, Kuma and SuperGamer, have listed the title for launch on June 30, 2017. The upcoming platform adventure is being developed by Vicarious Visions with Activision in charge of the publishing. Nintendo says that the Nintendo Switch will get VR
A while ago a couple patents were released for the Nintendo Switch and one of them were for Virtual Reality. Now, Nintendo President Tatsumi Kimishima has confirmed to Nikkei (via Japanese analyst Serkan Toto) that Nintendo is exploring bringing VR to the Switch. Kimishima has confirmed that the company is studying VR and will bring VR to the system once it has resolved the problem of users being able to play VR games for extended periods of time. It remains to be seen how the Switch can power Virtual Reality, there could possibly be a higher spec Switch in the works that will support it.

We are a month away from the launch of the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo has high hopes for the console as do lots of people. Recently the company announced that they increased production of the console due to strong pre-orders and that most likely means they sold out of their first shipment of 2 million. Kimishima said in a Nikkei interview that he expects the Switch to sell about as well as the Wii.
