Destiny 2 teaser trailer drops, PlayStation 4 will have timed-exclusive content
Destiny 2 has been a hot topic since the game’s posters leaked last week. And since yesterday, we may have learned a nugget of news regarding hands-on time for press, but today’s big news with Destiny 2 is the announcement of a reveal trailer and the posting of a teaser for said trailer. Destiny’s website was updated to feature a section for the next game’s teaser, and the text “Tune in for Destiny 2 Reveal Trailer March 30 10AM PT / 6PM BST.” Above that on the page is the teaser trailer, which we’ve embedded below. Have a watch and regroup after. So, while we know very little about the actual game after the teaser, the full reveal trailer in two days’ time will likely be packed with details. It’s also important to not that, in PlayStation’s posting of the video, there is an end-screen that we’ve included a screen capture of just below saying that Destiny 2, like the original, will feature timed-exclusive content “until at least Fall 2018,” which will likely disappoint Xbox players looking forward to Destiny 2. Even though we still don’t know much about the game itself, this reveal trailer’s announcement makes sense with other developments we’ve heard about regarding press interaction with the game prior to the planned summer beta. Twitter user shinobi602 shared that they’ve heard that press and media will get time to play the game in April. And next month, media/press should be getting some hands on time with Destiny 2 I'm told. — Shinobi602 (@shinobi602) March 28, 2017 With all that in mind, we’ll leave Destiny 2 alone. If nothing new comes our way tomorrow, we’ll update you once the reveal trailer drops in two days’ time. Regardless, for the latest on Destiny 2, be sure to stay tuned to Rectify Gaming. Psyonix is looking at bringing Rocket League to the Nintendo Switch
Psyonix, the developers behind the incredibly successful Rocket League, are currently evaluating whether to bring the game to the Nintendo Switch. The team is evaluating the demand for the game when it comes to the Nintendo fan base and the technical requirements. “Just like all the other platforms, we are evaluating it. We’re looking to see what the technical requirements are,” Dunham said. “We’re looking to see what kind of true community demand there is. We’re looking to see how it would benefit the community as a whole. So we’re still in that evaluation phase. It’s definitely too early to say that it wouldn’t happen, but it’s also definitely too early to say that it would.” “I think we’ve shown over time we’re a community based company, and so what we’re doing first is seeing what kind of impact that would have and who needs it and who wants the game and we’ll go from there,” Dunham said. “Luckily the platform’s only been out for a month, so we have plenty of time to look to see how it’s doing and what our audience wants.” The Nintendo Switch would be a great place to play Rocket League because you’ll be able to take it on the go, but the multiplayer is key. Next Call of Duty game will be titled Call of Duty: WW2
Late last week, YouTuber TheFamilyVideoGamers posted a video showing some, at the time, purportedly leaked steelbook designs and posters featuring an unannounced Call of Duty game’s title: WWII. Following the video, discussion erupted on the newly-created subreddit for the game, r/WWII, and included a post that linked to an Imgur album that, according to the creator of that thread and the subreddit itself, was created with a combined effort from themselves and the leaker, who also claimed to have been behind last year’s Infinite Warfare leaks. Now, after folks have been able to get in touch with their sources, both Eurogamer and IGN are saying that the game’s title is legit. IGN writes that “Sledgehammer Games’ 2017 installment of Call of Duty will be subtitled ‘WW2′ – something IGN’s sources have also indicated,” referring to the leak last week. Eurogamer also commented on the leaks’ validity in their own article, writing “Eurogamer has since verified this [the leak] does indeed relate to this year’s game.” What neither site confirms is the images from the leak as being valid, relevant, or recent. And while the leak’s information has verified, the game’s announcement is still to come. As with any leak, regardless of confidence in its accuracy or validity, nothing is for sure until made official and in the hands of players. LEGO City Undercover on the Nintendo Switch requires a 13GB download even with a cartridge
It has been discovered on the LEGO City Undercover game case for the Switch that there is a note on the back advises that up to 13GB is required for the “game download”. Initially the size of the game was to be 7.1 GB and this could mean the additional amount is needed for data. However, at this stage it’s still unclear whether or not this is for the LEGO City Undercover internet connection that the packaging also mentions is required, or if it’s to facilitate for certain features in the game. When it comes to the Switch and storage you are going to need to get more storage as it only comes with 32GB and especially when more games launch for the system in the coming months. LEGO City Undercover launches April 4th in North America and April 7th in Europe. Source
