Nintendo Switch takes top selling console spot for March NPD
UPDATE: The Nintendo Switch has sold 906k units in the month of March, making it the fastest selling Nintendo console to date, even beating out the Wii. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild sold 1.3 million units in the month of March, with about 925k for Switch and 460k on Wii U. This also makes it the fastest selling Nintendo launch title as well as the fastest selling in the Zelda franchise. The Nintendo Switch has taken the top selling console of March, outselling both the Xbox One and Playstation 4 for the month. This isn’t too surprising as it was the hot new device of the month, although it is impressive that it is managing to do well in March and should bode well for the upcoming months and the holidays with an impressive lineup of games on the way. Hopefully Nintendo can find success throughout the year and beyond with their new piece of tech. Software charts should be out shortly, so we will see which games reigned supreme then. Source
Nintendo discontinuing the NES Classic Edition in North America.
Nintendo has officially announced that the Nintendo Entertainment System Classic Edition will stop production and the last shipments will go out to retailers throughout this month. Nintendo representative provided the following statement to IGN: “Throughout April, NOA territories will receive the last shipments of Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition systems for this year. We encourage anyone interested in obtaining this system to check with retail outlets regarding availability. We understand that it has been difficult for many consumers to find a system, and for that we apologize. We have paid close attention to consumer feedback, and we greatly appreciate the incredible level of consumer interest and support for this product.” “NES Classic Edition wasn’t intended to be an ongoing, long-term product. However, due to high demand, we did add extra shipments to our original plans.” The company has no plans to produce more NES Classic systems for North America. This announcement includes the discontinuation of the NES Classic Controller. As for third party accessories, Nintendo said the decision whether or not to continue production of accessories will be up to each individual manufacturer. Nintendo of America would not confirm whether this announcement meant the discontinuation of the NES Classic/Famicom Mini worldwide. Source

While the remaster wasn’t what I expected, thankfully this #PS2PS4 darling is here to save us all! PaRappa, having won a 100-year supply of instant noodles, grew tired of eating them every day. So, after being so sick of noodles, he complained to his crush Sunny Funny about not wanting them, and she calls him a baby. Shocked by this, PJ Berri and PaRappa go eat at Beard Burger. All of a sudden, everything turns to noodles and PaRappa is now on a journey to turn everything back.

Project Scorpio's design will be shown off at Microsoft's E3 2017 keynote
Phil Spencer stopped by Xbox Wire to talk about Project Scorpio where he highlighted the importance of Scorpio to Xbox – “At Team Xbox we put gamers at the center of everything we do and we are driven to build the best platform on which to create and play games. (…) With Project Scorpio, we created a console with the goal of being the ultimate place for developers to realize their visions and the best place to play any Xbox game.” He emphasized how “creativity and innovation” are driven by developers of all sizes – “A single person can launch a game that becomes a global phenomenon or teams of hundreds can create the industry’s biggest blockbuster (…) At GDC in March, we announced the Xbox Live Creators program, opening up access for anyone to create and publish a game to Xbox One consoles and Windows 10 PCs. When you combine that program with dev mode, which enables any retail Xbox One to be a developer kit, you have the easiest path in the industry for game creators to publish their games broadly to console and PC, reaching millions of gamers around the world.” From the ground up, Project Scorpio was the vision of Xbox to deliver the very first native 4K console to gamers – “Once we locked that plan, we set our sights on building the world’s most powerful console development platform, which includes the new Xbox One Development Kit and a full suite of software to get every ounce of performance from the platform (…) We paid attention to logistical details, like dramatically speeding up how quickly a developer can move their work between PC and dev kit, and made it easy to program and test changes at the literal press of a button on the front of the box.” He ends the blog post by saying how proud he is with Project Scorpio – “I’m proud of the progress made with Project Scorpio and what it will mean for the creators who fuel the passion of gamers around the world. On behalf of everyone at Team Xbox, thank you for your continued passion and support. We’re excited to unveil Project Scorpio and the amazing game experiences it powers at E3 this June.” We finally got the confirmation of Project Scorpio getting fully revealed in two months at E3.
Rumor: Halo 3 Anniversary possibly coming to PC according to AMD video
AMD might have shown Halo 3 on PC by mistake at a launch event in Korea for the new R5 processors. The teaser was for their new consumer GPU, RX Vega, showing a piece of artwork for Halo 3 amongst other confirmed titles already on PC. This can mean Halo 3 is possibly being ported directly to PC platform celebrating its 10th anniversary, or Halo 3: Anniversary coming out on Xbox and PC simultaneously. Our guns point for an official announcement in two months at E3, and we already know Microsoft has plans to reveal a related story trailer at the event, could be DLC story for Halo Wars 2 or a teaser for Halo 6. Stay tuned for more Halo news with us!
