Sony announced more titles headed to VR – including an exclusive title from the makers of Until Dawn
Sony has been pushing their Playstation Virtual Reality headset all year, and there have been a lot of games announced for it since E3 began on Saturday. Favorites like Skyrim and Fallout 4 are coming to the PSVR, but Sony showed us a couple of new games tonight. Moss is the adventure of a cute-as-can-be mouse, and one from the Creators of the successful decision/horror game Until Dawn have been creating a new terrifying adventure made especially for virtual reality. The Inpatient seems to throw you into an insane asylum, and anyone who has played a lot of Silent Hill, watched a few scary movies, or a little too much Investigation Discovery (guilty of all three!) know that usually when an asylum is involved, things are not going to go well. Seriously though, what is creepier or more unsettling than an abandoned hospital, or an insane asylum? Nothing, I tell you! Why would we want this title in virtual reality?! Because we are horror junkies. It is human nature to want to push the boundaries of fear, and it is refreshing to see psychological terror returning to video games. It will be interesting to see how this title turns out, and you never know. It may just make me spend the money on a PSVR because I loved Until Dawn THAT much. Both Moss and The Inpatient release in 2018. Introducing the world's cutest new adventurer in Moss on PS VR. #PlayStationE3 pic.twitter.com/xe35SdcDTK — PlayStation (@PlayStation) June 13, 2017
God of War gameplay trailer makes it appear to be a much deeper game than previous the installments
God of War has always been known as a hack-and-slash action game with a story thrown in, but the new PS4 title looks like it has more depth than ever before. The previous games have had Kratos unleashing his vicious wrath and anger on various creatures and gods from Greek mythology, finalizing his revenge by defeating his father Zeus. In the simply named God of War coming in early 2018, Kratos is now living amongst the Norse gods, training his son to survive and become strong, while fighting his own infamous rage. It looks phenomenal, both in gameplay and graphics, and the story could become an emotional one. We will find out when it hits shelves for PS4 next year.
Spider-Man gameplay shown during Sony's E3 conference
So. Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man looks amazing, just like the man in red himself. With as enjoyable as the Batman Arkham series has been over the years, it is great to see gaming expanding into GOOD superhero games. Let’s be honest, most of those in the past, including Spider-Man games, were not that great. The footage shows Spidey doing what he does best- flinging webs and kicking some bad guy ass. The gameplay looks impressive and like it will be a LOT of fun, not to mention the graphics. Spidey never looked so good. Watch the gameplay footage below, and if you pay attention, he calls himself Pete, but the end of the video points toward the existence of Miles Morales in the game… Perhaps this is the start of a series, and not a stand-alone game. We will have to wait and see. Like many of Sony’s exciting new titles, Spider-Man will be out some time in 2018, exclusively on Playstation 4.
New Days Gone gameplay footage at E3
Bend Studios is looking to continue the fascination with zombies and open-world survival gaming in their upcoming Playstation exclusive title, Days Gone. Announced at E3 2016, we have had little gameplay up until recently. At tonight’s press conference, Sony showed off some of the game’s style and how you can use tools and stealth to survive even when your enemy isn’t the undead. As of right now, we still do not have a release date for this title, so we can speculate that it will come some time early to mid-2018. Sony opened their E3 conference with Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, as well as some interesting live Indian music
The beginning of the live press conference for Sony was a bit confusing, but once you realized the fine artists on stage were playing traditional Indian music, it quickly clicked that they were about to show Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. Continuing the story without Nathan, but rather with Chloe Frazer, and her partner Nadine Ross whom we meet in Uncharted 4, the ladies are in a race to reach a treasure lost somewhere in India, where Chloe is originally from. It releases August 22, 2017 exclusively to Playstation 4.
"It's happening." Sony finally announces Shadow of the Colossus remake for PS4
Fans of the 2005 Playstation 2 classic Shadow of the Colossus were ecstatic to finally see a trailer for the official remake of the game for the Playstation 4. And it is beautifully remade. With fresh new graphics, this iconic title will come to life using the power of the PS4 to create an incredible experience for old fans, and new players alike. The remake does not release until some time in 2018, but it looks as though that short wait will be worth it.
Horizon Zero Dawn to get DLC this year
No specific date was given at Sony’s press conference this evening at E3 2017, but we did get a trailer for the surprise announcement. Many thought that the title would not receive any DLC- something a lot of players were content with- but The Frozen Wildlands looks like it could add a decent amount to the already vast open-world of the popular game. We will provide more information on the DLC as it is released, hopefully this week before E3 is over. https://youtu.be/J5xsS1WZA54

Far Cry 5 new gameplay trailer and co-op play revealed
Looks like you don’t have to take the fanatical cult of Hope County on your own. Ubisoft showed gameplay footage including guns for hire, NPC characters, fangs for hire, adorably vicious dogs that take down your enemies, and even friends for hire, being co-op with your friends. The game looks promising already, with psychotic hillbilly cultists running loose, plenty of weapons at your disposal, and badass graphics. Far Cry 5 is one to look forward to in early 2018.
