Turns out Metroid Prime 4 is not the only Metroid title releasing soon
While we have to wait until next year to play Metroid on the Switch, Nintendo slipped in an announcement for Metroid: Samus Returns for the 3DS, releasing September 15, 2017. Going back to the classic 2D side-scrolling style, it is supposed to be a “reimagination” of Metroid II: Return of Samus. She has some new abilities this time around that were not in the original title, such as free aiming and melee counter. Aside from remaking a Gameboy classic for the much loved 3DS, Nintendo is also releasing a special edition that includes the game, a CD with 25 tracks from throughout the game series, and not one, but TWO all new amiibo figures! That is correct. The special edition of Metroid: Samus Returns comes with two amiibos, Samus Aran and a Metroid. Both will be compatible with the new game, and of course make great additions for amiibo collectors. If we are lucky, they, alongside the current Metroid amiibos, will be compatible with Metroid Prime 4 when it comes to the Switch next year. The best part of the special edition, aside from the awesome amiibos and CD, is the price. Generally a new 3DS game averages $39.99, and for all that it contains the special edition will only an extra $10.00, according to Gamestop’s website. All sorts of cool content for only $49.99, you cannot beat that! http://www.gamestop.com/nintendo-3ds/games/metroid-samus-returns-special-edition/149643 With no release date for the newly announced Switch title, Metroid fans can tide themselves over when Metroid: Samus Returns releases in September.
God of War (PS4) will have a "heavier emphasis on exploration"
God of War (PS4) director Corey Barlog has said in a talk with Geoff Keighley, that the upcoming God of War won’t be an open world game, however, he did say there will be a “Heavier emphasis on exploration”. Here is what he said. “What I really wanted to bring out in this game is his concept of being on a tour bus and being able to pull the string and get off whenever you want and have a look around”. He also said, “We really wanted to make Kratos and his son feel like they had to make their way through this very violent, very large world”. Sony showed more gameplay of God of War at their E3 2017 keynote, along with an early 2018 release date. Are you looking forward to God of War? Let us know! Source: Push Square

Coming later this year just in time for the Champions’ Ballad DLC for Breath of the Wild, Nintendo is releasing amiibo of the legendary Champions and are promising you will not be disappointed if you use them with the DLC. Daruk, Mipha, Revali, and Urbosa will be sure to add to your collection, and look good whether you are a box keeper or an amiibo user.
Super Mario Odyssey has a release date- and it isn't far off!
Since the Switch was announced, Super Mario Odyssey has had my attention so I was very excited to see a trailer and a ton of gameplay at E3 this morning! Mario is back at it again, saving Princess Peach from the formidable Bowser, who will stop at nothing to have her hand in marriage. Hop aboard the Odyssey, Mario’s airship and travel the globe in an awesome 3D adventure! Whether you are a lifetime Mario fan, or looking for something both you and your child can enjoy, Super Mario Odyssey looks like a promising title, one that is perfect for the Nintendo Switch. On October 27, 2017 we can all travel the world with Mario, both in game and in real life with Nintendo’s most innovative console to date.
Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild DLC packs revealed
If you have already finished Breath of the Wild, or are looking for an excuse to dive back into the insanely gorgeous latest version of Hyrule, then the expansion pass is perfect. At only $19.99, it comes with two DLC packs that we have finally been able to see. The first is releasing this month on June 30th, called Master Trials and includes – Trial of the Sword, Master Mode, Hero’s Path, Travel Medallion, Korok Mask and eight new armors, one of which has Majora’s Mask and who doesn’t want to rock that? The second will be The Champions’ Ballad and the only information Nintendo has provided so far is that it will be an original story and have a new dungeon. We will see this DLC later during the holiday season. The trailer shows some new powers for Link, a lot of really cool masks and pieces of armor, and the Trial of the Sword. (Why is Link not wearing clothes during that trial? I have so many questions.) Pants or no pants, prepare to jump back into Breath of the Wild very soon!
Must-have 3rd party game for the Switch is definitely Rocket League
“Winner or nominee of more than 150 ‘Game of the Year’ awards, Rocket League is a high-powered hybrid of arcade soccer and driving with rewarding physics-based gameplay.” That is how Nintendo describes the fast paced and furiously fun Rocket League. Released in 2015 for multiple systems including PC, but the Nintendo Switch is going to add immense new interactive gameplay using the Switch’s JoyCons. If you have yet to play Rocket League, getting it for the Switch will be worth it when it releases later in 2017.

Fire Emblem Warriors coming to Nintendo Switch this holiday
“Battle as original characters and fan favorites,” Nintendo announced this morning. Fire Emblem is often reserved for the Nintendo 3DS, so it is awesome to see one coming exclusively to the Switch by Christmas 2017. With familiar faces, eye-pleasing graphics, and some Dynasty Warriors style battle moves, Fire Emblem Warriors looks like it will be a great addition to the Switch library.
Everyone's favorite green… dinosaur? is coming to Switch in his own action-adventure title
Yoshi is going to be a blast. I have a special place in my heart for the little guy because I played a lot of Yoshi’s Island as a toddler and preschooler. Mario & Yoshi are why I am a gamer, and seeing Yoshi get a new title exclusively for the Nintendo Switch. Coming out in 2018, it resembles a mini diorama world with everything made up of everyday items like bricks, paint cans, and cardboard. It looks absolutely adorable, as a Yoshi title should be. Eager to hear a specific release date, because Yoshi is going to be a must-have for Switch owners.
Locoroco 2 Remastered announced!
At PSX 2016, SIE announced 3 Remasters. Patapon, Locoroco, and PaRappa the Rapper Remasters were due out in 2017. Well, Locoroco released and sold enough for more so SIE Japan Studio announced Locoroco 2 Remastered at E3 2017 and there’s even some screenshots so go along with that announcement! No release date, but it’s running in Native 4K HDR on PS4 Pro! (Source)
