Raphael Colantonio Departing From Arkane Studios

Raphael Colantoni, the president of Arkane Studios who are behind award-winning games Dishonored 2 and Prey, has announced he is stepping down from his position at the studio. He cited his reason for stepping down is “to spend some time with my son and reflect on what is important to me and my future.” Colantonio posted the announcement on Bethesda Softwork’s website. Fans who may express fear about what may happen to future titles produced by Arkane should not be worried as Colantoni wrote, “ZeniMax strongly believes in Arkane’s ability to make great games, and is committed to supporting the studio. My long-time friend and colleague, Harvey Smith, will oversee the team in Austin and I will be around for as long as necessary to ensure a smooth transition to the new management team in Lyon.” For those who may be wondering who Harvey Smith is, he was the director for Dishonored and its sequel. While Harvey Smith will be picking up a lot of the duties, nothing was announced on who shall take over as president of Arkane Studios. Colantoni concluded the post by saying, ” I’d like to thank the Arkane fans for their passion and support. I proudly join them as Arkane Studios’ biggest champion, and I look forward to playing the extraordinary new games the studio is working on.”
