Rectify Gaming Update: SquareStation Podcast, Rectify Mobile, & More.

On December 17, 2016 I announced quite a few things and two things were Rectify Mobile which was our mobile app launching on iOS, Android, and Windows Devices this year and that we were making a Halo Esports team. I am glad to say these are still happening, we just needed a little more time. First off let’s talk about Rectify Mobile and what’s going on with it. One of the main goals with this project was to make sure it was clean, smooth, functional, and easy on the go rather than when you go onto our website on your phone. Another thing with our mobile app is that I want to show more support to our friends such as Njoy, Geekologist, and others. We want you to be able to listen to our podcast on there, watch our videos on there, and a whole lot more. Now you might be asking when will the app be available? Well I can confirm for sure that between now and December 17, 2017 the app will launch. I can also say we’ve just about got it ready on Android and we might be doing closed betas to a limited amount of people. Stay tuned to us on Twitter and Facebook to hear more news on Rectify Mobile. The next project we’ve been working on was a podcast dedicated to PlayStation which is called the SquareStation Podcast. The cast will be hosted by me, Tyboy and GalaxyGamerOne and we also have two others who will be coming on and we will reveal that soon. SquareStation is set to launch late July or early August. We will also be resuming our regular podcast very soon on a consistent basis. The podcast will be available on iTunes, Stitcher, SoundCloud, and YouTube. Stay tuned for news. Rectify Esports has been a bit interesting this year. We are currently 7 months into 2017 and we have hosted zero tournaments and that is going to change because we will be having a Halo 5 4v4 Tournament in August and possibly a Titanfall 2 Tournament the same month. We also plan on branching out to different style games such as Tekken 7 on PlayStation 4 once we get into the later part of the year in October/November. Our tournament brackets will for now be on Battlefy. Another big part of our Esports has been our CS: GO team who have been on a hot streak winning 11 straight and staying on top of the West Division. You can see the stats here.  During our 3 year anniversary stream we announced a Halo and Call of Duty team. I can surely say the Halo team will be happening and hopefully by September they’ll be competing and winning. The Call of Duty team is still in the works and things have been happening we’ll see where it goes. We have further plans for our Esports side of things and you’ll learn more news come December 17th. The next 5 months will be a busy time and yet a great time for Rectify Gaming. We have some big giveaways planned that we’ve never done before and a whole lot more. In six weeks we will be at PAX West or some might call it PAX Prime. For the first time we’ll have more than 5 people at this event doing coverage and I can confirm at least 7 of us will be going and possibly up to 11. If you spot us we’ll give you a wristband and we’ll be wearing our shirts so it won’t be hard to not spot us. Stay tuned for our coverage from PAX.   As always we will for sure be celebrating 4 years of Rectify Gaming on December 17, 2017 and it might be a little early to talk about it, but this year the celebration will be a little different. We will have a longer presentation on stream from me with announcements, releases, teases, and more. There are a ton of projects I have been working on and have planned for Rectify Gaming. You’ll get to see what some of them are during the stream and some are too early in production to talk about. Esports is going to play a big part in Rectify Gaming as we get bigger, older, and stronger. If everything goes as planned December 17th has the potential to be a special day for the site. As we get closer to the event you will see hints at new reveals and releases we have planned. One of the best things about RCG is that I work with a lot of people and know a lot of people. There’s a reason to be excited about our near future. I don’t hype things up for nothing. Get Rectified.

Marvel Announces VR Game at D23 Expo

Marvel today at the D23 Expo in Anaheim, California, announced a brand new game for virtual reality called Powers United VR. The game will let you play as a variety of Marvel characters such as Captain Marvel, Rocket Racoon, and Hulk. One really neat thing about this VR game is that it will let you experience the different sizes of the characters, one example being that Rocket Racoon will feel closer to the ground while Hulk will be towering over most of the enemies in the game. The game will also let you play with your friends as it has a multiplayer component. The game will announce more characters next week at San Diego Comic-Con in addition to giving the public the ability to try out the game for themselves. Marvel’s Powers United VR will be aiming for a 2018 release date and will be playable on the Oculus Rift.
