Switch Version Of Payday 2 Is A Year Behind
Fans of Payday 2 on Reddit have discovered that the version of the game is out of date compared to other platforms, especially PC. Originally when working on streaming the game on Nintendo’s console have left many fans angry with what they found. As the release for Payday 2 is less than a week away, there has been hardly anything to none showing this version of the game. A copy of the game leaked early and many game streaming channels began analyzing the game. For many fans to instantly pick out details of the game and found that the game is running update 117 on the Nintendo Switch which released back in October of 2016, And the PC version is on update 172. Starbreeze has confirmed to Polygon that the game is the furthest behind than any other platform. The reasoning for the Switch content: we’re making continuous updates to a game that’s turning 5 years old this year, and to get the game out in early 2018 on Switch meant that our team had to go with the content ported and available at the time of console submission. On the subreddit, a poster was less impressed by the move that Starbreeze did for the Switch version and is forcing himself not to buy the game. “PAYDAY 2 Ultimate Edition on Steam costs $45 USD. PAYDAY 2 for Nintendo Switch costs $50 USD. Why are we paying $5 more for an outdated version of the game with less content? So I can play it on-the-go and think to myself, ‘wow, I really wish I was playing the full version right now’?” Source: Polygon
