Fortnite arrives on Nintendo Switch with cross-play

During Nintendo’s Direct at E3 2018 they showed off a lot of game reveals that were coming to the Switch later this year. One of the games that they showed was Fortnite which is available on the console right now. Fortnite is a popular Battle Royale game which was the talk in gaming over the past few months and basically the entirety of 2018. Fortnite on the Nintendo Switch will be 100% free and it will have cross-play with Xbox One, PC, Mac, and mobile players. There hasn’t been any information about any special features or brand new skins for it, but we expect something like that to happen in the future just like what they did with Rocket League skins last year. Once again there will be no cross-play with the PlayStation 4 which is always expected at this point since Sony has had something against it since the start of it. This is where the cross-play news came from: Nice seeing Fortnite cross play. https://t.co/mMRXj2GA10 — Mike Ybarra (@Qwik) June 12, 2018 Stay Tuned for more Fortnite on Nintendo Switch news. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SbysmKY3558

Ultimate on the Switch. Every fighter in history is participating in Ultimate. So that includes the Nintendo 64 version of Smash, Melee, Brawl, and on the Wii U. This title also brings the return of Ice Climbers, Snake, Cloud, and a surprising new comer in Ridley. After all this there will be 65 characters in Ultimate and it looks like there will be more added by looking at this official Smash Bros. site.  The starting roster is as small as the Nintendo 64 game, but of course this will be the biggest roster we’ve seen in a Smash title so you’ll be able to unlock a lot and of course we can’t forget about future DLC.  It was noted that each character has been overhauled with new abilities and cosmetic design, which was expected to make the design feel more dynamic. There was also a new feature that was Echo fighters, which is based on characters with unique outfits. It was also announced that you can use the gamecube controller with Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will be releasing on December 7th, 2018.

Two Sea Of Thieves DLCs Announced For This Summer

One of the first announcements at the Xbox E3 Conference this week was that more content will be coming to Rare’s Sea of Thieves. Not just one update, but two for coming this Summer. Following up on the Inside Xbox at this year’s E3, Sea of Thieves Design Director Mike Chapman gives some detail on what’s coming to the game’s world. As part of the first update titled ‘Cursed Sails’, will be focused on the more menacing Order of Souls and will be bringing skeleton crews to the rough waters. As they sail their Galleons across the sea, these beware of the new threat as this will be the first AI controlled vessel. Along with the undead parties, enchanted cannonballs will be introduced for players to find and use against their foes. Along with ‘Cursed Sails’ will bring a new ship to the roster. The Brigantine is a three player ship that gives players a greater option than before. This two sail ship will split between the Sloop and the Galleon. For the next update ‘Forsaken Shores’ will introduce a new area to the game’s map. Inhabiting a more spontaneous ecosystem as fire and ash flies out of the peaking volcano. And just like the Brigantine for Cursed Sail, Forsaken Shores will bring rowboats which will please many fans of the game. Instead of winging it to dock your ship at an island, players can use the rowboat to reach the neighboring island. And will be able t transport loot and other finds to and from the boat also. Cursed Sails will be coming our way this July and Forsaken Sails following with an August release. Source: Sea of Thieves

Report: Netflix and YouTube could be coming to Nintendo Switch

The Nintendo E3 2018 Direct is only a few hours away and rumors and leaks have been spreading a bit beforehand. The latest leak comes from Best Buy’s online store, which they supposedly listed support for both Netflix and YouTube for the Nintendo Switch. The details, which have been removed from the Best Buy store stated that YouTube and Netflix were ‘Switch Enabled’. “Get access to a world of instant entertainment with this product. Just connect to the Internet and stream movies, listen to music, and access a wide variety of content.” There have been fans eager to get these two apps on the Nintendo Switch since it is the only main console that does not have either one of them yet and in the past Netflix was talked about and the company said they had the app ‘locked and loaded’. They were just waiting on Nintendo’s approval the entire time and now it looks like it will finally happen. Here is what the official Best Buy Support twitter account said: This is indeed an error on our part and we apologize for any inconveniences. While it has been rumored to be coming, we have no solid information on if and when. ^Dave — Best Buy Support (@BestBuySupport) June 11, 2018 Here was the image users found on the Best Buy website: We should officially find out during Nintendo’s E3 Presentation.
