Nintendo might be dropping the Nintendo Direct for future E3's
One of the things that have been a positive for Nintendo were their Directs where they would do a 20-30 minute presentation revealing new games, details, etc on their systems like the Nintnedo Switch, 3DS and back when it first started the Wii U. The other great part about them is that they can do multiple of them throughout the year without hosting a big press conference like Microsoft and Sony. Recently in a interview with GamesBeat, Senior Director of Corporate Communications at Nintendo of America, Charlie Scibetta, was asked about the company’s presentation trend. Here is what he had to say: “We decide each year what to show in the booth based on the content we have. We also do the same when it comes to what we want to do in Nintendo Direct or a presentation. In the past, we’ve done presentations where we brought thousands of people together and demoed live on stage. With the last four or five years, we’ve done more of the video approach. It’s really whatever we think is the best way to bring those games to life.” He was also asked about the possibility of going back to regular conferences. “In the future, we might go back to a presentation. We might stick with video. We might do something completely different. But it’ll all be based on what we have to show that year.” If Nintendo comes back and does E3 conferences would you be a fan of it? It wouldn’t be as fast paced as the Directs as we’d probably see executives like Reggie and Bill on stage and it could be like the conference the company did when revealing the console which was actually entertaining all the way through. We’ll see what happens because the Nintendo Direct has been working well and generating hype for the fans. Source
Rumor: Sony may finally be giving PlayStation Now the option to download games
PlayStation Now has been around for a while now since its release in 2015. The streaming service consists of games from PS2, PS3, and of course PS4 titles and it never stops to impress. Like anything else there has been issues or at least one glaring issue with the service. If you don’t have a high speed internet connection and you are one of the users playing on PlayStation 4 and PC, the latency issues that come with PS Now take away the experience it’s supposed to give. Thankfully, Reddit user, Satertek discovered a “Download Game” option in the PlayStation Now menu. The button didn’t seem to do anything when hitting it as its not active yet, but the prompt only appears in some games right now and not all. Sony has done PlayStation Now for 3 years now and it seems like EA is following the same direction with EA Origin Access Premier and Phil Spencer talked about cloud gaming services briefly at the Xbox E3 2018 Conference. It isn’t shocking to see other companies follow the same direction as PlayStation Now. Source
