Lightning Strikes Update Planned To Fix Time To Death Issue For Battlefield V

Swedish-based studio DICE has been continuously working to undo the damage done when Battlefield V released in mid-November last year with the previous update revert last month and now planning to bring a fix for time to death and additional content to drop for the first-person shooter also. In a recent blog post, DICE revealed that Chapter 2 for Tides of War, Lightning Strikes, will unload a handful of fixes for the problem circling around how fast you die when playing online multiplayer. Here is some of the major tweaks coming in the approaching update: The name of the enemy that has killed a player is now shown in the game world when the player has died. This highlights the killer and helps players understand who killed them and from where, especially in crowded situations. The death experience has improved with the addition of a camera that now follows and zooms towards the killer. This will allow players to understand what killed them and the position of the killer. The accuracy of the visual representation of incoming bullets for other players has been improved. Tracers should now properly appear to consistently appear from the shooter and should be clearer when the victim is looking directly at the shooter. An issue was fixed with the UI directional damage indicator that delayed the indication of damage to the victim. Tweaks were made to the UI directional damage indicator to more accurately point towards the enemy damaging the player. Some of the mentioned content that will join the list of fixes for the World War II shooter is four new weapons and a new game mode titled Squad Conquest. Similar to the already present Conquest mode, the timed mode will be live from January 17th to January 30th and pins two teams of eight in a portion of Rotterdam, Arras, and Hamada maps. Battlefield V is out now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Source: Electronic Arts
New Director For Uncharted Film Announced

The Uncharted film has been on one heck of a roller coaster to bring the film adaptation to reality since being revealed back in 2009. Most recently the film lost Shawn Levy (Real Steel) as the director and left fans hopeless of what fate holds for the prolonged PlayStation film. Now the next contender to bring the Nathan Drake motion picture to the silver screen has been revealed to be Dan Trachtenberg. Well-known from his more recent film 10 Cloverfield Lane, he also directed 2012’s More Than You Can Chew and the ‘Playtest’ episode for Netflix’s Black Mirror. Despite the reassuring news for the film, no information has been released regarding when fans can see the videogame movie on the big screen. With the film’s protagonist given the role to Spider-Man Homecoming’s Tom Holland to play Nathan Drake, expectations on when the film might be arriving is a long way from now as the sequel to Holland’s 2017 film has yet to kick off the press tour for the upcoming Spider-Man flick. This seems to be a pattern for Naughty Dog film adaptations as the Last of Us film is currently in development hell as well. With the film being announced to start production back in 2014, fans have been patient for the film of 2013’s Game of the Year winner to debut at some point in the future. Last year Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckmann despite his original intentions feel a film adaptation would devalue the original game’s characters, but is still currently in development. If this gives you any hope for the film’s future with the newest director: Trachtenberg previously directed the fan film Portal: No Escape which stands over 21 million views since last year. More Details On Upcoming Celeste DLC Revealed

Right before Christmas in 2018, Celeste creator Matt Thorson revealed that additional difficult levels will be dropped into the game for free sometime in early 2019. For what else the game’s studio had planned in the future for the Game of the Year nominated platformer was not detailed. Recently Thorson has tweeted some insight on the unannounced DLC chapter for Celeste. https://twitter.com/MattThorson/status/1083920264461570048 In his tweet, he mentions that the upcoming content will not be releasing in celebration for the game’s one year anniversary release on January 25th. He also expands on by stating that the DLC will come out after the previously announced onerous levels coming at an unrevealed date: which also means that might not even come until February at the latest. Other noted information from the tweet also reveals that the game will be “one continuous chapter” with no B-side like in the base game and will be free for every platform the game is available on. No details revolving around when fans could expect either of the forthcoming, cost-free content to launch. Matt Makes Games’ Celeste is currently free for all Xbox Live Gold subscribers for the month of January. Celeste is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
Psyonix Announces Full Cross-Play For Rocket League

Starting today Rocket League will be joining alongside Fortnite with full-length cross-play between all competing platforms: meaning users on either Nintendo Switch, PC, Xbox One, or PlayStation 4 will be able to play with their friends exceeding their friend’s list on their respected hardware. All My Friends 🚐🚗🚛🚙 Full cross-platform play is now LIVE for all Rocket League players! https://t.co/QFTryZQRy3 pic.twitter.com/NbitRwmxOM — Rocket League (@RocketLeague) January 14, 2019 Though Rocket League isn’t at the same caliber of popularity that Fortnite is currently at, that this is the second game to completely implement cross-play could possibly be a start for more titles to receive the same attention in the future. Sony Interactive Entertainment America CEO Shawn Layden made a statement regarding cross-platform play back in June that Sony is looking to bring the online component to several games sometime in the future and now seems to be it. Since Sony is viewed to be the one ingredient from making a melting pot of all platforms from playing together, we might witness more games get the same treatment in the upcoming months. What are some titles you would like to see implement cross-play next? Rocket League is out now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
