There have been multiple problems with Anthem as of late with bricking PlayStation 4’s and how level one rifles are more effective than the end game loot. Source

Minecraft Beta: Xbox One/Windows 10/Android Beta Build 1.11.0.4 is Out Now

Minecraft updates sometimes release at the same time and sometimes they get released randomly. Normally the updates have either features or bug fixes. This one is no different. Today a new beta build has been released to the public. The 1.11 Update will be the full Village and Pillage update. While it won’t have the EXACT same features across Bedrock and Java, it will have roughly the same. This update is not an update that is the biggest but it is a nice beta build. It contains some nice features and a lot of changes. Check it out here.

The Default Rifle In Anthem Deals More Damage Than Some Of The End Game Loot

It’s pretty evident for Anthem that the longer the game is in public hands, fans on the game continue to discover more game breaking bugs that further devalue the title as we reach the third week since the games released. The most recent issue that one player discovered is that regardless of if you dodge all problems that are affecting most players and grind the game for good loot, it doesn’t compare to the default rifle given at the start of the game. Specifically the Defender Rifle players receive as a starter weapon, user YeetLordSupreme reported on Reddit that despite the amount of damage that is displayed when shooting enemies are disregarded when actually comparing to his level 45 masterwork Ralner’s Blade Rifle. You can view the example with the GIF the user paired with their Reddit post: In response to the report, BioWare Technical Design Director Brenon Holmes commented that “This is not intended, something ain’t right here.” Along with the game’s Community Manager following up on Holmes comment on the thread reassuring that this problem is unintentional and will be fixed in the upcoming client patch. The most recent problem that users on primarily PlayStation 4 face is the game overworking the system’s hardware and results with the console shutting off and unable to power on after crashing. Read up on Rectify Gaming’s review of Anthem where our own David Rodriguez tells that the game’s “Average gunplay and a lack of visual customization don’t prevent Anthem from being a great time.” Anthem is available now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Report: Xbox One Without Disk Drive Expected To Drop In May

Back in November, discussion for a newer modeled Xbox surfaced from tech site Thurrott detailed that at some time in 2019 Microsoft will release an Xbox One console without a disk drive along with an expected price to average around $200. Now reported from Windows Central, ’Xbox Maverick’ is expected to release later this May. The Microsoft-centered outlet also says that the name for the upcoming console is said to be the “Xbox One S All Digital” edition. Similar to the titular One S, the console will be digital-based, making all disc games obsolete for the upcoming hardware. As of yet, there still is no official word on when or how much the new model will be. Since the new tech will be going disk-less, it’s assumed the price will also be dropped to a cheaper price, making the $200 price tag look more legitimate. And with the digital-only model, it would be better for a bigger internal hard drive as 1 TB won’t hold a lot of games in this ecosystem of titles. What do you think about Microsoft taking this route late into the current generation of platforms? Source: Windows Central

Anthem Is Bricking PlayStation 4’s, EA Is Working On A Solution

Since Anthem has launched late last month, players have been faced with dozens of problems that are making the game almost too easy to joke about the game’s flaws. Varying from bugs affecting the game’s main looting mechanic to players playing the game’s story campaign being transported to the end game mission unprepared with insufficient builds, there’s plenty to look at. One of the most evident problems that the game is still being affected by even after the game’s Day One patch is the game crashes, resulting with returning the player to their platform dashboard and losing progress made prior to the game unable to stay open. This past weekend on the game’s subredit, many users have been reporting that PlayStation 4 version of the sci-fi title is making their consoles unusable and unable to turn back on. The EA Help Twitter has recognized the problem and addressed the issue on Monday. We’re aware of a crashing issue some of you have been reporting for #AnthemGame. We’re investigating and ask that you share your crash data reports when prompted. If you have, we’ll be reaching out to gather info; if not, please reply to this thread on AHQ:https://t.co/36P21YFjYL — EA Help (@EAHelp) March 4, 2019 Reading some of the reports on r/Anthem, some say that the issue is due to the game overheating the console and as a failsafe shuts off. Assuming that the hardware will turn back on after it cools down, but as of yet no one has reported this being the case. Others have reported on the subreddit that Xbox One users have faced a similar issue where it will shock the power brick for the older models and are required to buy a new one. Nonetheless, this issue is unfortunate for those affected by it and EA is currently working to resolve the problem at hand. For those who have already crashed their client on Sony’s platform, it’s suggested waiting until an update drops to squash this bug.
