Halo Reach Announced For Master Chief Collection For Free, Campaign & Firefight Coming As DLC

Alongside the wave of Halo-related news from today’s Inside Xbox Presentation, 343 Industries have revealed that Halo Reach will finally be coming to Halo: Master Chief Collection “later this year”. The 2010 first-person shooter have been a highly requested title that fans have been waiting for since Halo 3: ODST was announced for Master Chief Collection. All owners of Halo: Master Chief Collection will receive the new addition free of charge which includes the game’s multiplayer, custom games, Forge mode, and theater mode. But for the game’s story campaign as well as Firefight will be a separate add-on for a set price that has not been revealed as of yet. Owners of the Xbox Game Pass subscription service will receive the two modes for free. The series’ prequel will be a complete remaster receiving a visual and performance overhaul when the game drops in the coming months. Halo Reach will launch X Enhanced ready with HDR support, 4K resolution, and run on a stable 60 frames-per-second framerate. Weirdly enough, 343 has yet to discuss if the game will receive achievements to unlock when the game is added to Master Chief Collection. But it is best to assume another 1000 Gamerscore will be added when the game arrived. Bugnie’s last entry for the Halo franchise was also announced today to debut on PC as the first title to drop for Halo: Master Chief Collection which will be available for both Windows 10 as well as valve’s Steam. Halo Reach is currently available on Xbox 360 and Xbox One via Backwards Compatibility.
Halo: Master Chief Collection Announced For PC, But Not In One Piece

Since Halo fans got their first taste of Halo on PC with fan-made mod Eldewrito almost a year ago, they have been eager to see what 343 Industries has planned for the series’ official debut on the platform knowing that the community surrounding the Xbox exclusive is hungry to play. Last week, influencers from 343 revealed that the announcements for Halo: Master Chief Collection will have a shorter wait, rescheduling the reveal for today’s Inside Xbox presentation. Just minutes before, it was revealed that Master Chief Collection will officially be coming to PC in the coming months. But rather than the entire catalogue of Halo titles, 343 will be dropping each game in chronological order. Starting off with the newest addition to the bundle, Halo Reach. And after following with Halo, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, and ending with Halo 4. Speculation surrounding the game’s introduction to the PC platform has been going on for some time now. With Master Chief Collection already available on Xbox Game Pass, many expected the game to arrive following the announcement of Game Pass to make its way to PC in the coming future. But instead, the collection of titles dropped before the Netflix-esc service. Since the bundle initially dropped back in 2014, 343 Industries has been continuously working towards undoing the damage from the game’s rocky launch with constant patches and fixes the past half-decade. With the major update that dropped back in late-August, performance-related issues for all games have been drastically reduced compared to the game at launch. As of right now there’s no precise date for when Halo: Master Chief Collection will be available for PC. But interesting enough, the collection will be ready to launch for both Windows 10 as well as Steam. Halo: Master Chief Collection is currently available for Xbox One.

Borderlands 3 reveal seemingly teased for PAX East

Gearbox Software has been toying with the idea of Borderlands 3 for some time now, even name-dropping it at a previous PAX East panel. Today, they tweeted out an image that seems to all but confirm the appearance of the game at this years PAX East convention in Boston, MA. 👀 pic.twitter.com/pGGEpIi0V9 — GearboxOfficial (@GearboxOfficial) March 12, 2019 As you can see, the cell shaded design resembles that of the Borderlands universe, and the real kicker is that the sign says ‘Exit 3’. There are rumors of a remaster of the original Borderlands, but this particular tease seems to indicate much more than that. It is entirely possible that both will get revealed during the panel. Gearbox will be hosting the panel on the Main Stage on Thursday, March 28th at 2pm EST. The panel will most likely be live-streamed on Twitch if they follow previous years. Last year, Rectify Gaming obtained information from a reliable source that seems to imply that Borderlands 3 will be marketed with Xbox. Whether or not this is true remains to be seen, however, every game announced on the list so far has had Xbox marketing, so we are fairly confidant the same will remain true here.

First Trailer For The Upcoming Doom Movie Dropped Today

Doom as a videogame series stand pretty tall in the industry as one of the most revolutionary titles that became the foundation for first-person shooters. But as a film, it isn’t discussed as highly following the 2005 adaptation staring Dwayne Johnson. But that didn’t stop Director Tony Giglio from taking the task into his own hands with a direct-to-video film that surfaced back in April. Now the first trailer of the upcoming film has emerged and it looks as much as you would expect for a film dodging the big screen for a straight-to-DVD movie. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DinN__0fBj0 The film rather than giving the Doom Marine the spotlight as the movie’s protagonist, instead hosts Amy Manson as the star for the upcoming motion picture. With the ’05 at least giving the movie some flair with The Rock as the main character, Annihilation comes off less desirable with no real iconic protagonist. Back in September, Giglio revealed to fans on Twitter that the iconic Spiderdemon won’t be making it into the approaching film. But he did share that the demonic abomination isn’t completely out the window as he might plan to bring the creature into the following sequel. Currently, there’s no specific date for when the movie will official drop. But the trailer does give a time frame of “coming soon” which could be as early as this year. In anticipation for Bethesda’s awaited sequel, Doom Eternal, this movie could be a good distraction in meantime for those eager to kill more demons. Read up on our review on Bid Software’s Doom here.
