Marvel’s Iron Man PSVR Title Announced For Later This Year

Following the recent announcement of Sony’s live streamed presentation, State of Play, many fans already went to predicting what might actually be revealed today. With high hopes for some light to shine for some of the platform’s upcoming exclusive titles with a new demo or even a release date, you will be left disappointed: but PlayStation 4 users did not leave empty handed. A new virtual reality title developed by Camaflaj was revealed, putting the player in the suit of Tony Stark’s Iron Man. The titular VR game will have the player take on the role of Iron Avenger as his plane gets shot down and use the roster of the hero’s weapons to fight off incoming baddies. For what was showcased from the minute-long trailer, it wasn’t gameplay heavy. But from the short glimpses that were shown, the use of the PlayStation Move controllers and PSVR will for sure bring a new experience that many fans for both VR as well as Marvel have been hungry for. Marvel’s Iron Man VR is set to release sometime later in 2019 and will be an exclusive title to PSVR.
Apple Officially Reveals Game Subscription Service, Apple Arcade

Today, Apple announced their own video game subscription service known as Apply Arcade at an event in the Steve Jobs Theater. The new service will be available for all iOS mobile, desktop, and living room devices and it will come with over 100 new games and all will be exclusive to the platform. You’ll be able to access Apple Arcade from the App Store and it will have cross progression from iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV. Apple Arcade will be launching this Fall 2019 in over 150 countries with pricing and details to come soon. Once you buy into the service there will be no ads or additional purchase to be made. They will be teaming up with multiple developers for games such as LEGO, Platinum Games, SEGA, KONAMI, Night School Studio, and Disney just to name a few. The pricing of the service should be fair to the consumer since most services are usually in that $10 per month area or pay a certain amount for an entire year. A lot of companies have been buying into the gaming industry as we saw last week, Google announced their stream-based platform in Stadia. There were talks of Walmart meeting with developers and publishers about their streaming service then Snapchat Inc. are planning to reveal their gaming platform that will be for mobile next week. We knew this announcement from Apple was coming as just the other day there were reports they would be revealing their own gaming subscription service. There was a highlight of games to close the gaming part of the conference and one of the teases had Sonic in it, but it remains to be seen what exactly it is. Stay tuned for more coverage on Apple Arcade. Check out the video below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=95FuVib8mcY
Nintendo To Launch A Pro & A Slim Switch This Year

Reports from The Wall Street Journal indicates that Nintendo will be releasing two new models of the Switch. It is believed that they will be announced during the company’s E3 2019 Direct where they have most of their major announcements. The two models would be a Switch Pro and Slim kind of how Microsoft and Sony have done with their respective consoles although, the enhanced Nintendo console will not be as powerful, but aimed at avid videogamers. The Nintendo Switch Slim would get rid of some features like the HD rumble and would be portable focused and it would be an attempt to bring over 3DS users. The outlet also says that the devices will look different from the original and some of us might be surprised. This is currently just a rumor, but The Wall Street Journal has been correct multiple times before. If the Slim would be aimed for gamers on the 3DS that would mean they want to slow down their support for their 2011 handheld console. Who knows, some of the other things about this upcoming slim console could be that you can’t remove the joy-con controllers, but that is just a guess. Prices for both console models remain to be seen. We will have to wait and see what the official specs would be for the Nintendo Switch Pro and it looks like we won’t have to wait too long as E3 is creeping up fast. Recently, Cuphead was announced for the Nintendo Switch with Xbox Live support. Pokemon Sword & Shield are aimed to come out this year and would make a great launch title with these new consoles.
