Smash Ultimate’s Version 3.0 With Joker From Persona 5 Ready To Take Your Heart Later Today

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is finally getting it’s long awaited 3.0 update along with the first of 5 fighters included in the Fighters Pass. Joker from Persona 5 makes his grand debut later tonight when the update hits, and he’s bringing the rest of the Phantom Thieves of Hearts with him. Included in the first pack, you will get Joker, his new stage Mementos, as well as a variety of assorted goodies like a new spirit board with Persona 5 characters, a new Classic Mode route, and 11 music tracks. Mementos, the palace of society’s combined hearts, will be the first new stage added to Ultimate. The default version is obviously inspired by Persona 5, however, it has a neat little secret. When music is played from either Persona 3 or Persona 4, the stage will change colors to match the theme of the respective game. After enough time, the Phantom Thieves will show up and cheer Joker on from the background after arriving in the Morgana car. Morgana also shows up to let Joker know he’s looking cool when he taunts. Joker also has unique victory screens inspired by the ones from Persona 5 after winning a battle. His final smash, ‘All out Attack’ is also taken from the game and has him teaming with the Phantom Thieves to take down his opponents in stylish fashion. Joker’s moveset looks to be incredibly detailed, even including a gauge to summon his Persona, Arsene. If you’d like to check out the full details of all of the technical aspects of his moves, be sure to watch the 15 minute video at the bottom of the post. On top of all of that, new Mii Fighter costumes will be available for purchase for 75 cents a piece. A total of 6 new ones will be available including the main protagonists of Persona 3 & 4, supporting characters Teddie and Morgana, as well as Tails and Knuckles from the Sonic the Hedgehog series. The free content arriving with 3.0 is also pretty massive. Stage Builder is making it’s return to the series and it has a considerable amount of upgrades over it’s previous iterations. You can now edit front and back layers of stages, allowing for much more customization. You can add moving platforms and many new elements including a warp zone which teleports you around the stage. While in handheld mode, you can draw stages using the touchscreen. Stages will also be shareable in game now, so players from around the world can enjoy your creations, or you could check out the creativity of others. A new Video Editor will also be added allowing you to splice videos together, put background music and subtitles, and even add transitions. It’s all very powerful stuff for a free editor in a game. All of this new content will be able to be shared via a new ‘Share Content’ hub. Mii fighters, stages, and videos will all be able to be shared and downloaded to your heart’s content. You can even follow creators if you find their content to be to your liking. ‘Smash World’, a new service being added to the Nintendo Switch Online app, will also be available today. This will allow you to browse videos, stages, and in game notifications without actually starting up the game. If you find a file that you want to bring into the game, you can queue it up for download the next time you boot it up. You will also be able to browse spirits that you own and even create new spirit teams all from the app. All of this content will be available later tonight at 9pm EST/ 6pm PST. Joker from Persona 5 as well as his stage and spirits will be available for all Fighters Pass owners, or as a separate $5.99 purchase if you’d prefer. Stage Builder, Video Editor, Shared Content, and Smash World will be available for all players for free. With the amount of attention to detail put into pack 1, we can’t wait to see what the other 4 contain.

Here’s The First Glimpse Of Hamura’s New Model In Judgement

Previously reported, Sega following the arrest of actor Pierre Taki shelfed RGG Studio’s approaching title Judgement after Taki was apprehended for the possession of cocaine about a month ago. Resulting with the game’s launch date to be prolonged to an unspecified date, at least in Japan as the game was reworked without Taki playing the role of Hamura in the game. Shortly after the incident, Sega was able to find a replacement for the actor and went straight to work on redoing all renders of the crime-boss in the game. Now Sega has shared the first glimpse of reimagined character model for Kyohei Hamura. Throughout Yagami's investigation, he'll have to collaborate with, and occasionally face off against, some of the most powerful individuals in Kamurocho. But for Japan, it’s expected that Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio will push heavily on Taki’s replacement to having the game return to sale status in the coming future. What do you think about Hamura’s new look for the game? Judgement will be available for PlayStation 4 on June 21, 2019 in the West.

Death Stranding Is A Possible Cross-Gen Title For PlayStation 4 & 5

Hideo Kojima’s current project Death Stranding has been a more unique and vague project that many fans have been anticipating since the game’s reveal back in 2016. As more information continues to release on what the plot is revolving around the upcoming game, it also continues to fuel the joke of understanding the story less with each new detail. As it was previously reported that the development for Death Stranding might be behind schedule for the game’s unannounced timeframe, more recent news have emerged possibly revealing that the forthcoming title could be just on the horizon for the next generation console from Sony. Upon the news that broke today circulating around the official specs for Sony’s PlayStation 5 from Wired, the exclusive article also detailed that Kojima’s first self-published game could share the title’s release with both the current and upcoming PlayStations. Here’s the excerpt sharing that Death Stranding could be coming to both of Sony’s platforms: As in many other generational transitions, this will be a gentle one, with numerous new games being released for both PS4 and the next-gen console. (Where exactly Hideo Kojima’s forthcoming title Death Stranding fits in that process is still unconfirmed. When asked, a spokesperson in the room repeated that the game would be released for PS4, but Cerny’s smile and pregnant pause invites speculation that it will in fact be a two-platform release.) This isn’t a confirmation on the game’s official release, but this does set a foundation for when players could expect the highly anticipated title. Since the game continues to share only glimpses of what’s to be available in the full version, it’s difficult to determine when Kojima is fully prepared to officially drop the title. Death Stranding currently does not have a set launch date, but the title is currently listed for PlayStation 4. Source: Wired
