Rumor: Sony will host a State of Play on May 30th, focusing on The Last of Us Part II

E3 2019 is near and as we know Sony will not have a press conference. That does not mean the company won’t have announcements leading to the event in their new video presentation in State of Play. According to Spanish website, Legion De Jugadores there will be a new State of Play episode airing on May 30th which will feature highly anticipated exclusive, The Last of Us Part II. The presentation would show more gameplay, story and apparently the release date. The website also says sometime today we will know for sure what time the State of Play episode will air and it should be on the 30th of May. The great community at ResetEra were able to translate all the information and you can check it out right here. Earlier in the year there was a rumor that The Last of Us Part II was going to release this Fall. That rumor started with an ad which was found from a Peruvian retailer’s website. We suggest taking this rumor like always with a grain of salt until Sony officially releases news real soon about this upcoming episode that could or could not happen. With E3 around the corner you have to expect Sony to do something because not having any news around that time could hurt. Source
PC & PlayStation 4 Port For Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes Announced

As players on Nintendo’s latest Switch platform have already had some time with the No More Heroes spin-off title Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes back in January. Game Director Goichi Suda announced at this year’s MomoCon that the initially exclusive Switch title will be coming to PlayStation 4 and Steam on PC. On top of the excitement surrounding the game’s entry onto other hardware, Suda51 did however leave out when exactly the port for both Sony’s and Valve’s platforms will be launching. Reflecting on the current version on the hybrid handheld console, it’s likely that the newer versions will not share the same exclusive T-Shirts that the one on Nintendo’s platform offers like the Majora’s Mask branded tee. This will be the second title within the past year from Suda51 to release on Steam as his previous 2005 Killer7 received an abrupt debut on the storefront back in November. Netflix Plans To Bring More Game Announcements At E3 Next Month

For a while now we have been witnessing the spawn of more games being adapted into films and even shows as already seen with Konami’s Castlevania and more recently with the upcoming Witcher & Devil May Cry series which are both currently in development. The same can also be said the opposite way as Netflix is working on bringing an 8-bit translation for the third season of their billboard series, Stanger Things. But according to their conversation through Twitter with one of the biggest video game events of the year, the entertainment streaming service has more plans to announce later at E3 with game-translations of their most popular shows exclusive on the platform. Of course there’s the upcoming @Stranger_Things game but hmmmmm… there’s definitely more to come! pic.twitter.com/UFBUCAs7Qr — Netflix Geeked (@NetflixGeeked) May 13, 2019 The company detailing that that already announced Stranger Things title will be present at their ‘Bringing Your Favorite Shows to Life: Developing Netflix Originals into Video Games’ panel as well as sharing that “there’s definitely more to come,” as well. For what exactly will be announced was left for you to guess as no other details were shared beyond the tweet above. Turning back the calendar to September of last year following the closure of Telltale Games as several developers at the studio were abruptly laid off without severance: Netflix responded to the incident by announcing that their partnered title for Stranger Things will still be pursued without the now-closed developer. Assuming that Netflix has found a new studio to make an episodic title based on the Duffer Brothers’ hit series, this could be one announcement to expect next month. What do you have in mind for a Netflix-adapted video game?
New Details For Death Stranding Teased For This Wednesday

The discussion for Hideo Kojima’s first title after his departure from Konami continues to roll into the public eye as official word from the studio’s official Twitter that more information will be dealt in just a few days which could reveal a new trailer or potentially some detail on when fans can play the highly anticipated title. The countdown of #DEATHSTRANDING has started… May 29th. Create the rope. pic.twitter.com/26ynWg2m3s — KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS (Eng) (@KojiPro2015_EN) May 27, 2019 Just over a month ago, it was shared by Kojima himself at the Tribeca Film Festival alongside him with Game Awards host Geoff Keighley and Walking Dead actor Norman Reedus that more on the new game will surface in the coming month, meaning May. And it seems that Kojima is keeping to his word as can be told from the new tweet. Already on the topic of the new yet vague title from the Metal Gear & Silent Hill creator, this could be the window for some context on what exactly Death Stranding is all about as countless users have been vocal to not truly grabbing the concept of the game. Especially as seeing the phrase from the post, “Create the rope,” this parallels with his statement on the game from last month’s event for how the player will experience connection and disconnection throughout the game’s story campaign. Potentially implying to showcase how the world of the forthcoming title came to be, which could help give fans a better grasp at the game’s plot. What are your thoughts on what the plot for Death Stranding could be? Death Stranding is currently listed for PlayStation 4 with no set release date.
