Operation Apocalypse Z Live Now For Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 On PlayStation 4

It looks that the previously teased images from Treyarch last month kept true to its word when the implication that Zombies will be the main focus for the coming event planned for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. The two images posted showcases both Moon and Nuketown to debut someway in the then-approaching content drop for the latest installment for the series, and now we have a full look at what Treyarch has been keeping a secret. The new event titled ‘Operation Apocalypse Z’ drags Black Ops 4 through the trenches of the Zombies series and introduces a handful of new modes, items, and characters between the three segments that makes the current Call of Duty title. Kicking off with multiplayer, the online for Black ops 4 receives three new maps: Zombies map Eisendrache-inspired Der Schatten, Black Ops Havana makes a return with a rework, and Louisiana-set Remnant. Jungle Flooded also debuts with the new event which redesigns the original Black Ops map from what fans are familiar with. An arsenal of new weapons as well will be coming to multiplayer for players to change up their current loadout. Treyarch even introduced the minigun-wielding robot Reaper as the newest Specialist with the character returning from Black Ops 3. As for Blackout, the mentioned specialist and added weapons will also be available for the battle royale mode. The base Blackout map has been shifted to the more ravaged look following the event’s start with “The Haunting Fog” which hosts some familiar sceneries from the Black Ops series. The Alcatraz map also received more content with a nighttime setting and introduces the new Alcatraz Horde and Pandemic modes, which are expected to drop at a later time. The Black Ops Pass that players can purchase to receive exclusive maps and weapons applies to Der Schatten, Remnant, and Havana. As well as the new Omega Alpha Zombies storyline that returns players to Nuketown once again with a more expansive experience as you fend of the undead. Operation Apocalypse Z is only available to PlayStation 4, but other platforms are expected to receive the event at a later time. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is out now for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One.

Cuphead Animated Series Announced For Netflix

Video games as a media restricted solely to consoles seems to be shifting as some of the most influential titles in the industry are being adapted into film, television, and other forms of entertainment. Witnessing Devil May Cry’s debut for Netflix along with The Witcher which is reported to air later this year, the same is coming for Studio MDHR’s Cuphead as well. Alongside the game’s developer, Netflix announced that 1930s-influenced platformer will be receiving its own animated series which will star the name sharing protagonist along with his brother, Mugman. Given the name ‘The Cuphead Show!,’ the show will be run with the studio’s Moldenhauer brothers as Executive Producers for the upcoming series. As well as King Features Syndicate partnering in the project as CJ Kettler also given the role as an Executive Producer. “The game that has won the hearts and minds of fans with its gorgeous retro hand-animated style, crazy boss-brawls, and challenging gameplay will come to life on television for the first time ever in The Cuphead Show!,” the post reads. “The new series will expand on the characters and world of Cuphead, with an animation style inspired by the classic Fleischer cartoons from the 1930s.” An eye catching note is that the show’s Producer will be Emmy recipient Dave Wasson, who is most known for his work on Mickey Mouse Shorts. Beside Wasson with Cosmo Segurson who worked on Rocko’s Modern Life: Static Cling as co-Executive Producer for the show. The two being part of the series does align well when aiming to imitate the animation style that Studio MDHR achieved with Cuphead. Just last week, Studio MDHR revealed that the upcoming Delicious Last Course DLC, which will feature Ms. Chalice as a new playable character, has been pushed to next year with a 2020 release. Word on when the new series starring Cuphead & Mugman has yet to reveal when fans can expect the series to go live. Source: Netflix

Review: HyperX Cloud Gaming Headset for PS4

As a father of three and maintainer of a full-time job, what I look for in my gaming accessories has changed pretty drastically over the years. Thankfully, HyperX has a solution that meets the majority of those needs, while maintaining a price point that is easy to swallow. The durability of the headset is selling point 1-A in my book. The aluminum frame can take a fair beating, along with multiple drops from kids’ hands, and not skip a beat. Even the detachable microphone is built sturdily enough to withstand some punishment while connected to the headset.     If durability is at the top of the list, comfort stands squarely next to it. I wear glasses – I have since I was a kid. I can’t tell you the number of headsets I’ve worn that, after less than an hour, my skull is in need of a breather from the pressure the “padding” puts on my frames. To my extreme delight, I was able to don the Cloud headset for multiple hours without the need of an eyewear break – and yes, I’m aware of how 1980s nerdy that sounds. Continuing with the theme of comfort, I was also pleasantly surprised to find that the padding over the ears didn’t cause me to sweat after prolonged use. This was something I felt was almost guaranteed to happen with any pair of over-the-ear headphones, but I never had an instance of this during my time using them. The PlayStation branding that comes from this particular headset amounts to some slick black and blue coloring, as well as a few PlayStation logos on each side of the headband. I didn’t notice a practical benefit from the officially licensed aspect, but I sure looked good while wearing them and holding a PS4 controller in my hand.   The line that runs from the headset into the bottom of the PS4 controller holds in-line microphone controls that are easy to adjust on the fly. There is a dial for adjusting the volume up and down, as well as a slider to mute/unmute the microphone. Once I got used to where the controls were along the line, I didn’t think twice about how to make the tweaks I needed at a moment’s notice. The detachable noise-cancellation microphone itself, as I mentioned earlier, is plenty sturdy and easy to plug in/remove as needed. I never once had an issue where other players told me I was difficult to understand due to muffling or crackling. This whole package comes in at a refreshingly affordable price point – $80. This includes a two-year warranty, which as a parent, is an excellent bonus. If you’re searching for a durable pair of gaming headphones that won’t break the bank, it would benefit you to give the HyperX Cloud Gaming Headset a look.

Bandai Namco Announces One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4, Coming Next Year

Just last month. Japanese publisher announced Bandai Namco revealed that One Punch Man will be receiving his own respected title sometime in 2020 which will feature a catalogue of characters from the first and second season of the ongoing anime. Now the publisher is back less than two weeks from that announcement to reveal that One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 is also on the way with a release date aimed sometime in the coming year. You can watch the reveal trailer below: The previous game in the series received its last installment back in 2015, which will give Omega Force nearly five years to work on the title by the time the fourth iteration is ready to launch. Reflecting on the 2015 title, it seems that the game will also stretch to the Xbox platform this time around as One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 was only available on PC, PlayStation 3 & 4, PlayStation Vita, and Switch which is coming later this September. As for what the 2020 game will offer in contrast to the current title, Bandai Namco has yet to share what is truly new besides what was shown from the trailer. Which seems to pit Big Mom as the main antagonist as Luffy rushes for her in the short announcement video. Are you excited for another title for the Pirate Warriors series? One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 is slated with a 2020 release timeframe for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch.

Spider-Man: Far From Home VR Might Hit Other Platforms, According To Sony

For those who might have not noticed, the recent film starring Tom Holland in Spider-Man: Far From Home was paired with a titular title for PlayStation VR that launched just last month for Sony’s platform. The game follow suit the iconic web slinger as you swing around and fight enemies entirely in the view point as Spider-Man. Though the title does not follow as the film that it shares the name with, the game still takes place in Manhattan while in control of the Webhead. Ultimately, the game answers a lot of fans’ requests to be in the shoes of the Marvel hero and for the most part seems to be a title people will enjoy in virtual reality. Recently though, it seems that Sony is looking to break the exclusive barrier surrounding the game as Sony Pictures Virtual Reality is interested in bringing the game to the Valve Index and Oculus Quest. In an interview between UploadVR and SPVR Vice President Jake Zim, he shares that the publisher is definitely “looking at” other possibilities for the game to be playable other than on PSVR. “We have had a large and very positive consumer response to the launch including a lot of requests for a Quest build. We’re considering all our options and are working with our developers and the platforms to figure out the best way to manage the demand.” Leaving more possibilities for players as the latest Quest headset from Oculus will allow fans to swing tether-free as you are not restrained by a wire to play the title. As the oculus Rift is already supported with the app for the game, it would seem realistic that the Quest’s respected store receives the app as well. In related news to the current film, Insomniac Games added two suits to Marvel’s Spider-Man that are from the film into the 2018 title for free.
