Bluepoint Games Tease Two Games “Returning From The Shadow”

The idea surrounding what project Bluepoint Games has been quite the enigma for some time seeing that the last major title dropped by the American studio was Shadow of the Colossus for the PlayStation 4 last year. However, the team has been notorious since then for their hinting teases on social media pointing towards a handful of potential culprits that might be happening within the approaching future. Previously this year, Bluepoint Director Peter Dalton shared his interest in The Legend of Dragoon 1999 title which sparked fan speculation that a potential remake could have resulted from the instance on Twitter. Since then, no news on what progress has been made on the project following the encounter. However, Bluepoint Games took this opportunity on Halloween last week to again get fans anticipation running with indirect mentioning of not just one, but two games making a return now. So calm this spooky night. A symphony of rumors – not one, but two – return from shadow. A resistance to dart home as black monsters escape twisted hills to wander lands and syphon souls. Filter your candy collections, soft from solid, and be eco-friendly. Have a metal Halloween. pic.twitter.com/mFFxI7BIDN — Bluepoint Games (@bluepointgames) October 31, 2019 While not specifically naming what these two reemerging games might be, it is a fair guess one might be pulled from the GIF posted in the tweet. From the pitch red sky and flight of bats towards the full moon and the blatant one-worded reference, users instantly associated this to be teasing Castlevania: Symphony of the Night which would be a fair guess if I had to say so. This being the most tangible with the provided evidence, what exactly might this second title be exactly? Some have decided that the second game be poking at Demon’s Souls or possibly Syphon Filter. Others have predicted the possibility of this potentially referencing The Legend of Drgoon or even Metal Gear Solid despite there being less correlation from the recent tweet. Regardless, we do know there are multiple projects in development as we speak and this could only bring more to the table as this generation is closing in on one more year until its ultimate ending. Notably, FromSoftware President Hidetaka Miyazaki disclosed in January of a potential window opening for the 2009 title’s return. Clarifying that he does not like returning to his previous work, but would be happy for another team to take on Demon’s Souls if said developer loved and appreciated the content enough to provide the rework the property deserves. God Of War Director Shares Interest In Porting Game To PC

Last week blew fans out of the water as Kojima Productions announced that this week’s approaching release for Death Stranding will not only be available on PlayStation 4, but will also be arriving on PC sometime next year in 2020. This being an uncommon announcement for a Sony interactive Entertainment, the chances of seeing a first-party published title break outside of the PlayStation ecosystem is unheard of. Regardless, fans could only hope that other favorite titles would also migrate to keyboard & mouse for the off chance it could happen in the future. According to a responding tweet from God of War Director Cory Barlog, he actually wishes that the 2018 title would come to PC, but unfortunately is not his call he shares. You know, I would love that. It is, sadly, a decision far above my paygrade. As is proven on a daily basis, I am no Kojima. — golrab of the frost (@corybarlog) October 29, 2019 However, it isn’t as easily a hitting a switch to bring exclusive titles to PC. Either there being a supported initiative that allows first-party projects to be available on both platforms, like for Microsoft with Xbox; or there being an contractual agreement settled ahead of the game that gives the property more flexibility to hit PC also, like with Death Stranding. Who knows, maybe Hideo Kojima’s title might start a new trend under Sony leading into the next generation? Discussing the topic of PC games originated from the PlayStation platform, it questions that if this were to be pursued, would said games then be available on Steam or elsewhere? If Sony Interactive Entertainment were to do so later down the line, the company could create their own launcher or platform specifically for PC if agreeing for more games to come in the future. What PlayStation games do you think would work well on PC? Twitch Loses Another Streamer As CouRage Announces His Departure To YouTube

It looks that the tactic carried through by Microsoft in acquiring online personalities to support their streaming platform has been picked up by YouTube now as the video-sharing platform has announced that 100Thieve’s streamer Jack “CouRage” Dunlop will be moving to YouTube to stream exclusively on the Google-owned domain. The announcement roared internet reactions, but looking at the trailer a day after the initial reveal, the video shows to have been received overly well considered that previous announcements similar to CouRage’s were met with claims of being a sellout to Microsoft. This now marks the third popular streamer to be jumping ship from Amazon’s Twitch following last month’s reveal with Michael “Shroud” Grzesiek joining Mixer and even earlier with Tyler Blevin’s departure to move to the same platform back in August. With three streamers assumably under contract with the respected company, it only leaves the indication of which one left will be on their way to streaming uniquely on a specific platform. At the same time, it is interesting to see that Amazon has still yet to act on the situation seeing that two have been taken for Microsoft’s Mixer and now this week with YouTube. Users on all platforms do appreciate that this will bring more competition to the table for twitch, but will this ultimately leave an impact seeing nearly a handful of personas are off the platform. Alike with Ninja’s and Shorud’s official departure from Twitch, CouRage’s verification check on the platform has been revoked following his announcement to YouTube. Jokingly, the skit Dunlop posted for his announcement clarifies that he will still be part of 100Thieves despite no longer streaming on Twitch. Who do you think is next to leave Twitch and what platform?
