Cooking Mama: Cookstar Abruptly Removed Due To Using Payer Systems Being Used To Mine Crypto Currency, Players Share

As we expected from the trailer that dropped in February revealing that the upcoming entry for Cooking Mama, Cookstar would be arriving later in March. And as the game did arrive to the Nintendo eShop as promised, players swiftly discovered that the game cannot be found anywhere as of this past week. Reasons as for why were not answered which left this entire scenario to be even more confusing as the developer nor the game’s publisher did not disclose what swayed the decision to pull the game. However, according to users online, the reasoning for the game being removed from the Nintendo eShop is due to a more malicious intent. In a tweet made by @MorshuMmm on Twitter, the user posted an image which disclosed that the company responsible for the recently released title has been utilizing player systems to mine crypto currency unknowingly. To make matters worse, the owner of the Cooking Mama property, Planet Entertainment, was unaware of the latest title even releasing online as reported by IGN. Since last year, the company’s Twitter account has been nothing but radio silence: no mentions of Cookstar are found on the firm’s website and any reference from Planet has been removed shortly after by the company. According to Cybershroom who the Twitter poster uploaded today, the press release for the game describes the mechanism to allow systems to mine crypto currency to be “blockchain-based DRM.” This explaining why users who want the game can only do online despite there being little online functionality for the game. Additionally, it was also disclosed that the publisher responsible for the game is also based in a residence in Connecticut. Luckily the issue at hand was caught on before the game settled into the market and more fans managed to get their hands on a copy of the game. If not, this incident would have swelled tremendously as the game was also listed to hit PlayStation 4 as well at a later, undisclosed date. Did you manage to get a copy of Cooking Mama: Cookstar? Massachusetts Next U.S. State To Force Close GameStop Locations Following Reported Incidents

A few weeks back following the controversy that tailed GameStop as the video game retail chain still had stores open despite many other respected retail brands already closed, the storefront ultimately closed the doors to public on offering curbside pick-up for those who ordered at store that chose to remain open. However, even after the decision that was put into effect by the company’s standing Chief Executive Officer, locations in Massachusetts went against the order. According to The Boston Globe, all locations in the entirety of the state are now instructed to force close after stores in the region remained open. In effort to remain open while still abiding to restraining further spread of germs, a chain email went out to employees on how to properly deal on the matter. “Lightly (you want to be able to get it off easily) tape a Game Stop plastic bag over your hand and arm. Do not open the door all the way — keep the glass between you and the guest’s face — just reach out your arm.” Despite the thought of attempting to battle these contagious elements in such a way, this ultimately resulted with all stores within state lines to be forced closed after word broke out on the instructions employees were told to follow. Unlike the letterhead that was provided to those back in late March, all stores were required to shut down until further notice according to officials for the State of Massachusetts. The City of Boston’s Inspectional Services Department instructed the Dorchester store of Suffolk County to close this past Wednesday. The following day the store was issued a Nuisance Order by an inspector on the incident. Massachusetts is not the first state to be issued the same forced closure as stores in California, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and New York received the same treatment just weeks prior. But with the circumstances that the location chose to go against ended with the entire state to follow the stricter guidelines in result. Respawn Entertainment Expresses Cross-Play As A Priority For Apex Legends

It has been more than a year since the initial release of Apex Legends, one of the most revolutionary titles that have released for this current console generation. Although fans are still returning to the game’s frequently updated ecosystem with new maps, Legends, and timed events, there is still something missing. Players that drop into either King’s Canyon or World’s Edge do so through the respected platform, but nothing ever beyond that. Previously during the initial release of the game last February, Respawn Entertainment when speaking with Eurogamer disclosed that the team is aiming to introduce cross-platform play later on. However, as of now, we have yet to see that implementation. But despite the amount of time that passed, nothing has changed Respawn’s ambitions to still pursue the feature. According to a recent interview on the latest Game Informer Issue, Respawn Entertainment’s COO and Apex Legend’s General Manager Dusty Welch shared that cross-play is still a priority for the game. I think on crossplay we see it’s something that is kind of expected in the industry and is important to a game like ours. Chad [Grenier, Director for Apex Legends] and I are obviously big fans of playing our game at work and in our free time – and we go home on a Friday or weekend and want to play with each other and we’re on different systems. On a personal level, yes, we’d love to do that and party up on the weekends. I think it’s an important thing to get to. Evidently, Respawn Entertainment has definitely turned on all cylinders for Apex Legends since the turnaround following the launch of Season 1. Reinserting the discussion of the limited-time events have arrived throughout the game’s duration so far have benefitted a better understanding of the player base alongside introduced permanent additions to the game like Duos and King’s Canyon return in the approaching Old Ways event for the game. Elsewhere, publisher Electronic Arts is essentially letting Respawn Entertainment off its leash for the entirety of 2020 as the company plans to have Apex Legends alongside Battlefield V flourish a steady foundation until the next big budget shooter releases the year following; even sacrificing the highly-anticipated Titanfall 3.
