Alike many of our favorite video games from when we were children, a handful of them are scheduled to receive television adaptations such as Netflix’s Castlevania for instance or the recently disclosed Dragon’s Lair Live Action project with the streaming conglomerate. Even more, there are other individuals in the industry that grew up on these titles and strive to potentially acquire the go to make their dream a reality. According to Ben Mekler, writer for countless shows like TBS’ Final Space Dreamworks’ Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts shared a list of titles he would like to be involved into bringing to the living room screen. Following the post he made is a stranding post where Mekler goes on to state that he might “already trying on at least one of these.” In a response to the initial post, someone tagged other Ocean’s Studio Head Mike Mika on perhaps helping on the situation at hand. Where Mika responded that “we can help with some of those…” Atop of the already listed programs that Mekler is involved in, he has also wrote a few episodes for Cartoon Network’s Clarence and was helmed as head writer for Nerdist News alongside miniseries Team Nerdist, according to his IMDb. Aside from Mekler’s statement that he is looking to working on one of the listed games, there is now steady foundation on what project he will tackle first. But regardless of the one that comes first, his involvement with similar cartoon media will surely translate well to the game’s he set his ambitions for. Mortal Kombat happens to be the only one listed to already be receiving an animated film from Warner Bros. Animation. PlayStation Product Manager Confirms Upcoming DualSense Controller Will Have A Headphone Jack

This week turned to be a monumental urge for conversation regarding the PlayStation 5 as Sony in an abrupt announcement decided to showcase the upcoming controller for the next-generation console, the DualSense. Right off the bat, users online began picking apart the new gamepad from the contrasting look of its design when reflecting to preceding DualShock controllers. Despite how the controller might look, the DualSense does introduce new features and reiterates on the problems that the previous DualShock 4 was burdened with. Listing issues such as the battery life which many have been vocal about or the gripping for the controller which Sony shared to be even more comfortable with the coming DualSense. However, while discussing some of the technological difference that is groundbreaking for the new controller, Sony failed to mention one element that was expected for the gamepad. The company did not disclose if there would be a headphone jack or not. And even with the pictures provided, we cannot see if there is one or not for the time being. Luckily, an employee at the firm shared that fans will rile themselves up on the matter. On Twitter, Toshimasa Aoik responded to a thread discussing the headphone jack and confirmed that the DualSense will be equipped with one. It is understandable where users might be coming from regarding the potential absence of the headphone jack as other products have been on a campaign for Bluetooth-only these past few years. But luckily, the PlayStation 5 controller did not sacrifice this feature despite some of the architectural overcomings that the hardware team had done to create the final product. Additional implementations that the DualSense offers which the DualShock 4 is missing is Adaptive Triggers: similar to the Impulse Triggers for the Xbox One, when shooting or racing, the rumbling in the triggers give off a more tangible interpretation of the world when playing. Sony even with all the additiosn that make the DualSense so unique also announced that the gamepad will still be lighter than the current DualShock 4 impressively enoungh. Are you excited to get you hands on a DualSense controller? The DualSense is expected to launch alongside the PlayStation 5 which is scheduled to release later in holiday 2020.
Sea Of Stars Developer Recruits Chrono Trigger Composer To Work On Game’s Soundtrack

Dating back to just last month in March Canadian game studio Sabotage, the team responsible for The Messenger, revealed on Spring Equinox the next title that the developer will be hunched over for until 2022. Announcing Sea of Stars, this turn-based RPG tells the story of Sabotage’s expanded universe dated before the team’s 2018 platformer. However, instead of partnering with Devolver Digital to publish the game, Sabotage instead resorted to crowdfunding on Kickstarter where the announcement took place. Within the first few hours of the game’s reveal online, Sea of Stars swiftly rose to its asking benchmark goal of $94, 829 and continue to receive support. Even more, the game has continued to receive more financial sustenance as the following listed goals and their respected rewards were met such as additional dungeons, in-game cinematics, and the new game + alongside a separate ending for the game. Now in a new announcement, Sabotage will be receiving support by Yasunori Mitsuda, the composer for Chrono Trigger, who reveals to be working on the game’s soundtrack. As seen in their previous game, by adding new systems and ideas to classic formulas, Sabotage Studio breathes fresh, new air into their work. Impressed by the respect they show for past games while at the same time giving players new ways to have fun, I found myself wanting to make a game with everyone at Sabotage Studio. Noted, while Mitsuda’s addition to work on the game’s OST surely is a milestone in itself, the Chrono Trigger producer will be working alongside the already appointed Composer Eric W. Brown, or his stage name Rainbowdragoneyes. Atop of his work on the soundtrack for Sabotage’s first title, Brown is also involved with Mega Man-inspired rock group, The Protomen. Again, while the funding for the title has been exceeded by nearly six-fold, Sabotage elsewhere in the announcement revealed that a final stretch goal will be posted in the coming future. While not going into specifics, Sabotage shared that the final reward for Sea of Stars is something that was aimed as post-launch content, but will be a gift for backers instead. Are you excited that Yasunori Mitsuda will be involved in Sea of Stars soundtrack? Sea of Stars is scheduled to release sometime in 2022 for consoles and PC. Source: Sabotage Kickstarter
