Nintendo Confirms More Partnered Showcase Directs Will Come In 2020

Today was not expected to have an eventful showcase from Nintendo. But right when the clock hit midnight on the east coast today, the firm announced that it would be hosting a Nintendo Direct Mini to feature some already-announced properties coming to the Nintendo Switch from third-party studios. Unfortunately, that happens to exclude any exclusive franchises from Nintendo like Mario or The Legend of Zelda. During the presentation, Japanese developer Atlus announced that Shin Migami Tensei V would officially be arriving to Nintendo Switch next year. Even more, the studio disclosed that 2003’s Shin Migami Tensei III Nocturne would be returning with a Remastered HD version of the game (later told to also receive a PlayStation 4 version as well). In light of show that took place today, Nintendo has more to present later on as we proceed through the second half of 2020. The company shared the details when closing out its show earlier today. That’s all for today’s Nintendo Direct Mini Partner Showcase. Thank you for watching! We look forward to more partner showcase presentations later this year. And if what Nintendo revealed today says anything, players should be equally excited for the coming digital shows later on this year. Especially following after what might be a drought of full-length Nintendo Directs from the company, this could be a fair substitute for fans hungry for more news. Expanding more on the matters, Nintendo previously disclosed that it might be doing away with the traditional presentations as marketing begins to evolve into something else. So in regards to first-party projects, Nintendo might be abandoning the format for altogether if it decides to follow through with no more Nintendo Directs. However, third-party titles and games can still expect to be featured in Indie World presentations and Partner Showcases which is fair seeing that teams have a smaller stage to stand on next to console firms. What do you hope to see at a future Nintendo Direct Mini Partner Showcase?

Report: A new Splinter Cell will release in 2021

Splinter Cell fans have been waiting for the next entry in the series and during the past few years talks and rumors had started back up. It’s been seven years to be exact when Splinter Cell: Blacklist released which was on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, and Wii U. The talks of a new Splinter Cell have heated up again after an interview between Luca Ward (who voice acted Sam Fisher in the Italian version in four of the six mainline games) and an Italian site, Multiplayer.it. According to Luca, it’s a fact that there is a new Splinter Cell in development and it could be releasing in 2021. Luca went on to say this: “There is this return of Splinter Cell which should take place I think for a conclusive episode, but I’m not sure about this, however they have not yet figured out whether to do it in 2021. Before it had to be 2020, then what happened and in 2020 several big projects got stuck. Others went on like Cyberpunk 2077 on which I have almost finished working. ” “But I am sure that Splinter Cell will return, this is a fact “, Due to the impact of COVID-19, this apparent new Splinter Cell was put on hold and will most likely pushed to 2021. The coronavirus has put a brief delay on other projects that were supposed to release in 2020, but it’s safe to say many of these said projects will launch in a year or so. With news like this it is better off that you take it with a grain of salt, but it wouldn’t be shocking to see Ubisoft release a new Splinter Cell game for the next generation. In 2018 Rectify Gaming had heard from inside sources that Microsoft had marketing rights to multiple games that included Splinter Cell. Source Source 2
