Microsoft Flight Simulator Might Be Arriving To Consoles During The Xbox Series X Launch Window

With the console generation just a few months beyond these moments today, many fans are curious as to what will truly define the divide between current-generation consoles to its successor. The Xbox Series X and its counterpart PlayStation 5 while offering similar performing architecture truly differentiate with what is offered in the measure of software. Howbeit, the question is truly posed unto Microsoft following the unfortunate delay of Halo Infinite. Now that the platform’s juggernaut franchise is taking a breather into 2021, followers look to other reasoning to dictate whether to purchase an Xbox Series X this November. And one particular entry could be shipping just in time for the next-generation console. That being Microsoft Flight Simulator: it is suggested the latest entry in the three decade-old series could be hitting consoles just in time of the Xbox Series X’s release. Coming from a post by user @xThe0x0 on Twitter, they state that Microsoft Flight Simulator does have the opportunity to be arriving during the Xbox Series X launch window. Even clarifying that it is plausible based on a claim from one insider, what leans it towards a tangible possibility is that developer Studio Asobo even liked the tweet as well. The claim that the Twitter user is referencing is one made by Xbox & Microsoft insider @XcloudTimdog on Twitter. When asked as to when he could suspect the game to arrive later on, he responded that the title would be issued during the Xbox Series X “launch window”. Timdog previously proven to speak accurately on the Xbox 20/20 event that would take place in May prior to its announcement. And it is not secret that a console version for Xbox Series X is certainly underway. It was briefly after the release of Microsoft Flight Simulator last month that the Microsoft Store listed both Xbox One and Xbox Series X versions of the game before being delisted. Howbeit, it is a surprise to hear that the game does have the possibility of hitting both platforms just months following the PC release in August. In other news, it was disclosed last week during the Gamescom Opening Night Live show that Insomniac Games’ Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart would be arriving sometime during the PlayStation 5 launch window as well. Review: Othercide

Developer – Lightbulb Games Publisher – Focus Home Interactive Platforms – PC, Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch Focus Home is quickly becoming one of my favorite publishers. The line-up of titles embracing familiar genres and titles but providing a fresh and unique twist has led to some really excellent, underrated hits. First it was third person action adventure with Vampyr, then they did what EA hasn’t and created Greedfall. Now they tackle the turn based genre X-Com has brought back with Othercide. Right away the X-Com inspiration is readily apparent. The timeline mechanic and the unique rogue lite systems quickly differentiate Othercide from it’s peers. Right away, the games striking visual style will catch your eye. Greys, blacks and crimson reds create some eye popping scenes and beautiful moments. The art style of the sisters and enemies almost remind me of the haunting imagery of the Scary Stories book series. The story is told with beautifully rendered cut-scenes and various story sequences. This focus on a non- linear campaign with set random heroes is a big departure from most games that follow X-Com and its well established formula. Due to the heavy rogue like influence, the meta layer of global conquest is absent. After every mission, you can recruit or level up one of your sisters to fill out your ranks, and these ladies can be customized in terms of name and character class. In between major story missions, several side missions will be offered that offer different rewards. This small but crucial rule of the perma-death ensures that a full roster is maintained and balanced. Instead of relying purely on your handful of best units , focusing on building and getting to know your full group will be key to victory. The game’s seemingly simplistic meta layer doesn’t strip the game of it’s difficulty, if anything, the smaller scope is pretty rigid. More than once, you will almost guarantee fail and need to rebuild the bloodline. As you advance down skill trees, you will accumulate a massive list of passive and active traits and abilities. Knowing each of these passives, and taking advantage of them in battle is the key to success or failure in many instances. If used properly, certain powers can take down an entire group of enemies in one turn, therefore giving the rest of my team the advantage to set-up for the next wave of enemies. All of these tools are vital, because the timeline mechanic can work for you, but the enemies will use it against you in some brutal ways. The story is well told, but as the game goes on you will encounter less and less of it. The only other knock I really have, is that most missions can be quite long, and without to much of a strategic phase between missions it can feel like a chore to just churn out mission after mission of relentless combat. Despite the limited scope and the die and repeat nature of the rogue like approach, developer Lightbulb crew have created a title that stands out from the average X-Com clone.

A New Tease Looming Over NetherRealm Studios As Founder Pokes Ahead For The Team’s Next Game

Prior to last month’s DC Fandome which came and went blowing fans of DC Comics and the related mediums of entertainment away, there also happened to be some suggested rumors disclosing that new titles were underway disregarding the more evident announcements. While Warner Bros. Montreal revealed Gotham Knights and Rocksteady Studios shared the trailer for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, one game did not make the spotlight as we would have hoped. That title being Injustice 3, many followers of the series grew very hopeful as there were whispers suggesting it would be debuted at the late August show. The claim spruced from NetherRealm Studios head Ed Boon who shared to be attending the virtual presentation. But with reasons as to what is would be for was left undetermined, fans swiftly speculated the third installment for the series was a likely candidate. But of course, that expectation did not become a reality. However, that does not mean there is not room for a new potential project to be revealed. That happens to come from Ed Boon himself on Twitter who issued some hope for waiting fans. While it certainly does not verify the game to definitely be Injustice 3, it does leave room for fans to gather their thoughts for the time being. Already acknowledging that NetherRealm Studios shipped Mortal Kombat 11 last April, it is a safe guess to presume the net project is not another Mortal Kombat installment this soon. NetherRealm Studios most recently shipped the Aftermath story expansion for Mortal Kombat 11. The add-on comes as a surprise as the developer never took this approach to the series in the history of Mortal Kombat. You can read the full report by heading here. What are you hoping to be the new announcement from NetherRealm Studios in the coming future?

Kate Bishop Coming To Marvel’s Avengers This October, Crystal Dynamics Reveals

For many fans that look to be hitting their favorite console this month with the release of Marvel’s Avengers from Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal, you should already be associated with what is to come following the game’s release. That being the added, playable heroes that will be included as DLC later on. Currently, the firm confirmed that Hawkeye alongside Spider-Man will both be introduced sometime in 2021. Howbeit, the teams responsible now has a third addition that will be coming fairly soon. As soon as this October, it was revealed that Kate Bishop will be coming to the game sometime next month. You can watch the reveal trailer in the video below: “Kate Bishop joins our expanding roster in Marvel’s Avengers: Kate Bishop – Taking AIM, a post-launch Operation in the Avengers Initiative,” the trailer’s description reads on the hero’s announcement. “As a master archer, Kate has the smarts, the talent, and the witty attitude that makes any enemy she faces quiver in fear.” Alike with Hawkeye who is slated to hit the game sometime next year, Kate Bishop will be a universal addition between all platforms. The only uniquely added hero will be Spider-Man that was organized between Sony Interactive Entertainment and Square Enix. It is presumed the move was made due to Sony still holding the publishing rights for the webhead. Elsewhere recently in Marvel’s Avengers-related news, it was disclosed that the game will feature a battle pass system. But while not surprising from the announcement, Crystal Dynamics discloses that it will be offers for each Avengers specifically – running for about $10.00 each. You can read the full report by heading here. Do you plan on playing Kate Bishop when she arrives later on? Marvel’s Avengers is scheduled to release for September 4, 2020 for PlayStation 4 Xbox One, PC, and Stadia; listed for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.

For many of the veteran fans that will be returning to Tony Hawk Pro Skater with the shining remake for the first two installments later this Thursday, developer Vicarious Visions looks to be doing more than simply reiterating on the classic 1999 & 2000 titles. Since the game’s announcement treading back to May of this year, neither Activision nor Vicarious Visions disclosed that the classic versions of both Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 and Tony Hawk Pro Slater 2 would be playable in the new game. Howbeit, it surely is a welcomed feature for those looking to go on the definitive nostalgia trip. Back in September of last year, the website at the time listed the achievements for Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz HD which disclosed that Sonic would be a unlockable character for the game. This would be the blue hedgehog’s debut for the Super Monkey Ball series. Elsewhere recently regarding Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 + 2, one user on Twitter uncovered the control schemes for the game. Dotting back to May of this year, developer Behaviour Interactive announced that the team will be introducing two new major additions to its evergrowing Dead by Daylight. This happens to unveil that cross-platform play will be hitting the 2016 title sometime in the coming future alongside a much needed graphical overhaul for the game. And while the Canadian studio has bridged platforms with cross-play last month, linking Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, and PC, the latter announcement is still underway for Dead by Daylight. As to what the first of many updates will include, Behaviour Interactive tells Springwood and Wamaoka Estate will be the guinea pigs for the first phase. “We gave a lot of attention to the lighting to make the experience of roaming these maps more realistic and engrossing. Individual rooms will now be more distinct, with each serving a specific function,” shares Lead Level Artist Stephanie Hellin. “On top of that, the team has also made some significant changes to both the visuals and interaction animations of Generators and Chests.” What are you most enticed by the coming flood of updates to hit Dead by Daylight?
