Codemasters Delays Dirt 5 Again, Now Landing On November 6th

Stretching all the way back to mid May of this year, developer Codemasters announced that the next Dirt installment, Dirt 5, would be arriving sometime in October of this year. With a very ambitious racing simulator to project the possibilities of next-generation consoles, it was not presumed to be overly ambitious to ship the game ahead of the aforementioned systems. Howbeit, time revealed to say otherwise. In that, the firm later on in August announced that the approaching entry for the series would be shifting its release date from the initially-slated October 9 to a more comfortable October 16 to level out some of the rougher edges still lingering at the time. Treyarch Lays Out Schedule For Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Betas Starting In October

Just short of three weeks, developer Treyarch and publisher Activision pulled the drape to reveal Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Second DLC Creeping Winter For Minecraft Dungeons Is Out Now

Following the electric release of Minecraft Dungeons in late May, developer Mojang Studios laid out a roadmap for the two DLCs slated to hit its top-down dungeon crawler later in 2020. With the first, Jungle Awakens, arriving in July only leaves ‘Creeping Winter’ to ship in what is presumed to be early fall as derived from the title. But it seems that the story expansion for the game arrived earlier than fans predicted as Mojang Studios abruptly revealed this week that the add-on for Minecraft Dungeons is available now. You can watch the launch trailer in the video below: “A creeping winter is slowly taking over everything it touches, only a noble hero can save these frost-bitten lands! Brave new missions and beat relentless mobs on your journey to defeat the Wretched Wraith at the center of the storm.,” the trailer’s description reads for the expansion. Mojang Studios in a blog post elsewhere describes the new add-on to be the antithesis of ‘Jungle Awakens’ with many of its elements replaced with wintery characteristics. In addition to the blacksmith helping you upgrade items alongside villager merchants, Mojang Studios also included daily trials to unlock items with higher rare value. Two will be available per day by default with an additional trial depending on how many DLCs you own. The firm also tells that the physical PlayStation 4 version of Minecraft Dungeons will be hitting storefronts in Japan sometime in the coming month. The DLC runs for $5.99 individually, but users who own the base game will have to purchase the Hero Edition of Minecraft Dungeons if wanting to also acquire the Hero Pass. Mojang Studios Announces PlayStation VR Support Hitting Minecraft This Month

It was in mid May that Swedish developer Mojang announced to be rebranding its identity to better associate itself with how the firm has evolved since its conception over a decade ago. With the new titling also be unveiled the same day as Minecraft’s 11th birthday, the team when announcing Mojang Studios wanted consumers to recognize there is more to come outside of its evergrowing title. And while the firm is planning to map out coming projects in the future later on, Mojang Studios still has plenty underway for Minecraft. This week, the developer revealed that Minecraft will once again be making its debut on yet another platform, PlayStation VR. It is no stranger to virtual reality, but this is the first sign of support for console which makes the reveal more enticing. In a new blog post, Mojang Studios tells that plans for a PlayStation VR feature was already a mindset for the team and began cracking down on it for when it ships later in September. Once we’ve finished the final bits of polish to the experience, the PS VR support will arrive via a patch for the main Minecraft game. Everyone who has Minecraft on PlayStation 4 will get that patch automatically. Download that patch and you’ll get access to the new Minecraft VR functionality. Of course, you’ll need a PS VR setup in order to use it.
