Despite The Recent Reports, Halo Infinite Is Still Scheduled To Release For Xbox One

Among the plenty of controversy for Halo Infinite ranging from the game’s delay, the state of the visual appearance for the title, and even including sprinting in the full version, there is one complaint that outweighs the noisiest issue. It is that Halo Infinite will be a cross-generation release. While the game is targeted to be a console seller for the Xbox Series X|S, the project is still coming to the last-generation Xbox One. Though many give the argument that the Xbox Series S is a worthy scapegoat to holding back next-gen titles, the same is put on steroids for the Halo Infinite version that is in development. And it is rightly backed as even Digital Foundry voices concerns for the game releasing on the older device. Although rumors linger of the version being discarded, 343 Industries worded that the Xbox One is still expecting Halo Infinite. However, in a new report that has been tossed around Twitter today, it is suggested that the game is removing its Xbox One listing after all. Upon discovering the LinkedIn profile for UI Art Lead Chad Mirshak, his role at 343 Industries lists Halo Infinite for Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC. But, it seems that was only a mistake on Mirshak’s behalf as he later addressed the issue and added the Xbox One version. Even more, 343 Industries already commented on behalf of the Xbox One version being removed previously – it is not happening. “There are no plans to change our 2021 release or the devices and platforms we’ll be supporting,” John Junyszek, Halo Community Manager wrote on Twitter back in August. So for the developer to refute its own statement a few months later just doesn’t add up. While many are vocal to the idea with good reason as to why the Xbox One version should be cancelled, the recent claim is not enough to dictate the title shipping for Xbox Series X|S and PC uniquely. So until 343 Industries makes the official statement, Halo Infinite is still a go for Xbox One. Elsewhere recently, 343 Industries in a new Halo Waypoint update for Halo Infinite pressed on the game’s visuals since the July gameplay demo and featured some still images of the game’s multiplayer. Stadia Receives iOS Support As A Web-based App, Available Now

With the surge of video game streaming services in the last year or so, the concept of accessibility for gaming at any moment is becoming a reality right in front of our own eyes. Initiatives such as Google’s Stadia or Microsoft’s xCloud prove that players can instantly play any major title without the necessity of a physical console being present. However, this form of game stream was only limited to the Android market primarily. Though Stadia is playable on TV and PC, the core market is aimed for mobile devices. But, Apple products were out of the question. That is due to The App Store Policy which requires all applicants on the storefront to hand over a 30 percent cut of gross revenue. Of course, this did not rub the companies the right way. So the firms are looking to other alternatives. One being a web-based application: this allows the software to stream through the device’s respected browser rather than directly through The App Store. The two did open to the idea of pursing this approach following new measures applied to The App Store Policy issued by Apple earlier this fall. Now, Google announces that Stadia is finally available for iOS devices – so that includes iPhones and iPads. There is no word on Mac support for Stadia at the time of reporting. Regardless, it is exciting to finally see the service now available on the other side of the river. According to the Stadia support page, Apple users will need to be updated to the iOS 14.3 version or later to properly use Stadia. Of course, a Stadia account will also be necessary as well to use the application. However, it is clarified the feature is still in the works and does require some discipline as not all experience will be alike and features to be absent as well. In other related news for iOS, Microsoft announces xCloud support is hitting Apple products in spring 2021. xCloud is also told to expect PC integration to sometime in that same release window. Google Showcases Stadia Pro’s January 2021 Titles With The Addition Of One More Last Minute Game For December

In the last couple of months, Google continued to kill it in its efforts to align with the likes of Xbox Games with Gold and PlayStation Plus. Only having a year under its belt since the inauguration of the video game streaming platform last November, Google did not hesitate to initiate its own form of free game subscription service for its users – Stadia Pro. As of recent, the last few months included some eye-opening additions including Risk of Rain 2, Superhot: Control Mind Delete, and Hitman 2. Among those offered, each monthly addition included six titles which continued to breath more life into Stadia as a platform. But for this coming January, the firm is turning down the heat after the last few bangers. In a new blog post, Google unveils that January 2021’s free game lineup for Stadia Pro will only incorporate four games rather than the regular six. You can read the full list below: Ary and the Secret of Seasons F1 2020 Figment Hotline Miami Not only that, but Google is also adding one more game to December Stadia Plus roster. So alongside the likes of Everspace, Kine, and Secret Neighbor, Google is now including Cthulhu Saves Christmas as a last minute addition for the holiday season. Stadia Pro owners starting today can enjoy the light-hearted entry. For more on next month’s Stadia Pro additions, rectify Gaming’s David Rodriguez gives his two cents on Ary and the Secret of Seasons. While not a complete review, he elaborates it is a good enough game to play in front of his kids when taking a break from the massively violent games we are overly accustomed to. “As a game for my son to enjoy as a spectator, it’s far more successful,” he explains. “The game’s bright and colorful, it’s characters are well designed and the monsters are relatively harmless. The game, despite not being great, is adequate at changing the environments and has okay variety in it’s moment to moment gameplay.” You can read the full piece by heading here. Microsoft Issues First Batch Of Xbox Games With Gold Free Titles For January 2021

At least for the sake of the Xbox Games with Gold program that has continued for over three console generations of Xbox, the lineup has not looked too bright for the sake of its users. While there are no definitive heavy-hitters to say the least, the games offered are not very appetizing to put it nicely. Even we at Rectify Gaming criticized the games presented being overshadowed by the juggernaut that is Xbox Game Pass. But as we begin to leave 2020, Microsoft did issue a last batch of games. And while the plenty are not truly exciting, it is a sum that are worth picking up to add to your backlog. Entries such as Saints Row: Gat out of Hell and Stacking are worthy mentions to own on your hard drive. Even then, not as exciting as what other platforms offer for free. Next month, Capcom’s Dead Rising alongside Tarsier Studios’ Little Nightmares are thee showcased game up next for Xbox Games with Gold members.
