Report: PlayStation Store On PlayStation 5 Is Missing Dozen Of Listings For Games

Given the current circumstance in regards to PlayStation 5 – or just next-generation consoles in general – the systems are virtually impossible to get your hands on. That is due to the climbing demand for the systems during one of the largest global pandemics in history. As a result of that, production plants and other manufacturers cannot produce silicon efficient enough to meet the outcry for certain products. As per AMD CEO Lisa Su, she indicates that the influx of required components and other necessary hardware to build these machines will be at a discrepancy well until halfway through 2021. However, that is only one issue that PlayStation 5 is facing currently. In that, dozens of games happen to be missing from the PlayStation Store altogether. In a new report from dedicated review outlet GamePitt, it is told there is a myriad of titles that are available on the PlayStation Store, but, the storefront does not have the respected titles listed. Here is the full list of games affected: AborigenusACA NEOGEO THE KING OF FIGHTERS 2000ACA NEOGEO THE KING OF FIGHTERS 2001ACA NEOGEO THE KING OF FIGHTERS 2002act it out xlAssassin’s Creed ValhallaBlacksmith of the Sand KingdomBorderlands 3Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold WarCheckers Crystal Ortha Cube Raiders DartsDirt 5Dogfight ElliotFight HardCubeHeroes of Hammerwatch – Ultimate EditionHow to take off your Mask RemasteredImmortals: Fenyx RisingKAUIL’S TREASURELegends of EthernalMortal Kombat 11NEKOPARA Vol. 4Not Not – A Brain BusterOne StrikeOniria CrimesRadio CommanderRocket PunchShisen-Sho NIKAKUdoriSlide StarsSnake Boat: Otterrific ArcadeSparkle 4 TalesSpeaking SimulatorSpirit ArenaSuper Sports BlastSurvivalSword of the NecromancerWatch Dogs: LegionZombies ruined my day For majority of the titles that fall victim to this issue on the PlayStation Store for the PlayStation 5, many of these games are PlayStation 4 titles. While the storefront does feature the option to filter games by generation, these releases still happen to be missing completely in the ‘Browse’ category. Even more, there are at least three dozen additional titles that are incorrectly dated on the store. It is suggested to be due to a mix up between the publishing date and retail release. More specifically, the PlayStation Store on the dedicated mobile app & web-based store also appears to disregard most titles that offer cross-generation support. So releases that initially shipped on PlayStation 4 and is available via backwards compatibility is only displayed in the PlayStation 5 category and not for both platforms. Aside from games missing from the storefront, the outlet presses that the PlayStation Store faces a similar circumstance with downloadable content as well. While the storefront does offer its own section for add-on content, it only filters in the most popular DLC. Content for other games require a manual search and scan the respected title listing. When using the store on a browser, searching for DLC is completely unavailable aside from the featured 12 games. also But ultimately, there is plenty that requires some rethinking how the PlayStation 5 Store operates in contrast to its predecessor. GamePitt prior to the post going live did pick up that the PlayStation Store also failed to list sales on respected titles. Speaking with the website’s founder, Rob Pitt, he disclosed to have contacted Sony and the problem was resolved later on. But for the games, this is another easy fix he explains. It’s a simple tweak on the listing submission – but, Sony clearly hasn’t told everyone or kept track of who is doing it wrong. Yet, if you jump on your PS4, everything is perfect – so it’s just the new store and some of the settings required to make it appear and put it in the right date order. End of the day – most of these indie devs don’t have a PS5, so they have no idea that their game, which they paid to put on the system, doesn’t even appear on there. An nobody questions it or asks them because how do you know something is missing if it’s not there? Following the major talking points in regards to the missing titles that GamePitt reported, the remainder of the article focuses on other inconveniences that the PlayStation Store on PlayStation 5 harbors. Issues such as the inability to read patch notes, the revamped Trophy system & game capture interface, and overall how the UI/UX is organized for users. In the end, the discovery comes as a surprise and even more so seeing how little this is being discussed now nearly three months since the console shipped. When reflecting on the Xbox Store and its inconsistencies majority of the last console generation, it is surprising how much of a 180° it is currently. Perhaps that is because of the imbedded support for backwards compatibility predating the new console, but, that cannot easily be determined. You can read the initial report for that by heading here. Quantic Dream Shares Forming Of New Studio In Montreal

As per current events for French developer Quantic Dreams, the studio has finally established itself as an independent developer. While the firm previously resided under the PlayStation banner with games like Heavy Rain, Beyond Two Souls, and Detroit: Become Human, the studio was never acquired by Sony Interactive Entertainment. But, the team did partake in a minor acquisition by Chinese holdings firm NetEase back in early 2019. The agreement for Quantic Dream with NetEase resulted with its current repertoire to break any exclusive ties with PlayStation for other platforms. In that, the aforementioned titles eventually slipped onto Epic Games Store. Even more, the trio later on all released on Valve-managed Steam a couple months following. Now as part of its new venture as a independent studio, Quantic Dream announced this past week to be establishing a new team in Montreal, Canada. Stéphane D’Astous, former lead at Eidos Montreal, is told to be the General Manager for the new Montreal division for Quantic Dream. D’Astous tells. Here in Montreal, we’re responsible for developing the game mechanics and all the gameplay. We can only succeed if we work as a team. Quantic Dream co-Founders David Cage and Guillaume de Fondaumiere are told to helm operations at the Parisian studio. Nintendo Shelved Upcoming The Legend Of Zelda Netlfix Show After Leaking Publicly, New Report Reveals

When referencing the growing amount of content in regards to video game television series and films that arose uniquely on Netflix, it makes you wonder where that might have spruced from initially. What game or company approached the streaming service before anyone else? Well, that happened to be Nintendo according to a new report. While Castlevania and The Witcher continue to grow in popularity, Nintendo pursued the endeavor dating back to 2015. When speaking on The Serfs Times podcast this past Tuesday, it was revealed by comedian Adam Conover that he arranged a Netflix project with Nintendo. In that, he would be involved in a Star Fox film inspired by Wes Anderson’s Amazing Mr. Fox. But, the project went south after reports of a The Legend of Zelda series leaked around the same time. While the television series was not in the works – alike with the film series at the time – all projects planned by Nintendo were ultimately scrapped following new breaking prematurely. I worked at CollegeHumour and we had a secret project where we were going to make a claymation version of StarFox with Nintendo. I know this because Shigeru Miyamoto came to our office, and I remember that because I asked my boss if I could be in the office that day ’cause it was the weekend because I just wanted to watch Shigeru Miyamoto walk by. He told me no and I’m still mad at him. Then, a month later, suddenly there were reports Netflix wasn’t going to do its Legend of Zelda anymore. I was like “what happened?” And then I heard from my boss we weren’t doing our Star Fox anymore. I was like “what happened?”. He was like, “someone at Netflix leaked the Legend of Zelda thing, they weren’t supposed to talk about it, Nintendo freaked out… and they pulled the plug on everything, the entire program to adapt these things”. And now roughly six years later the truth finally comes to fruition on the now-cancelled projects. While Nintendo already pursued film with Detective Pikachu and the upcoming Lumination Super Mario film, it is likely the firm has moved on from initial plans it orchestrated. But despite the news now, rumor did break out once again on the production later on in 2018. However, the project that Castlevania Executive Producer Adi Shakar teases was later revealed to be a Devil May Cry series. Even more, Rogue One writer Gary Whitta also openly shared his ambitions to pen a script for a Star Fox film as well. Maybe not to what Conover referenced, but a production that gives the franchise its merit. You can read the initial report by heading here. Are you upset the two projects never broke into reality?

Amazon’s New CEO Reported To Carry Through With More Commitment To Game Division

While ambitions are definitely apparent for Amazon in its video game division, its internal Amazon Game Studios has not proven to be a lasting entity in the video game industry. One large reference indicating such is the performance of Relentless Games’ Crucible: After retracting the game’s release last year, the developer ultimately decided to pull the plug on the arena shooter months after the initial decision. However, the online retail conglomerate is still eager to pursue new endeavors as it launched the beta for its cloud gaming service Luna back in late October. Even more, the service already features its own Ubisoft Channel to give more footing to potential users looking for accessible gaming without the necessity of a physical unit. Now a brighter future seems to lie ahead following the stepping down of Jeff Bezos as standing CEO. In a report from Bloomberg, Jason Schreier indicates that Andy Jassy who is to take the new position as Chief Executive Officer at Amazon plans to commit to video games over preceding leadership. Some businesses take off in the first year, and others take many years. Though we haven’t consistently succeeded yet in AGS [Amazon Game Studios], I believe we will if we hang in there. Andy Jassy, Amazon CEO To reiterate on Luna once more, the initiative to offer gaming to a broader audience outside of retail units is a new prospect that firms like Google and even Microsoft is trying to pioneer. But as of the recent closing of Stadia Games and Entertainment this past week, there is even more leg room for Amazon Game Studios to fill that gap than initially. As for what is ahead for Amazon Game Studios, the kick off for the video game label could very well be its coming MMO RPG, New World. The game most recently received another delay pushing the title’s release until spring 2021. You can read the full report by heading here. Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake Receives Second Delay Pushing It To A Later, Undetermined Date

It certainly was not long following the announcement of the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake that the series’ patient user base responded with some well-deserved criticism for the game. While it is a retouched version of the original 2002 title, the presentation closer reflects a remaster rather than a remake. Developers Ubisoft Pune & Ubisoft Mumbai goes to defend its project stating the firms’ ambitions were to keep the integrity of the initial work. However, it looks that the strong feedback on the initial reveal did sway the development teams to shift the release for the remake. In early December, a letterhead was posted on the game’s official Twitter account sharing that Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake would be pushed from January 2021 to March 2021 to softened its rougher edges. But now, March is suggested to be too ambitious for a release now. Another post made on the official Prince of Persia Twitter issues that another delay will be established to Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake with no scheduled timeframe this time. “Since announcing Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake in September, we saw an outpouring of feedback from you on this beloved franchise. It is your passion and support that is driving our development teams to make the best game possible,” the developers write in the letterhead. “With that said, we have made the decision to shift the release for Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake to a later date. “This extra development time will enable our teams to deliver a remake that feels fresh while remaining faithful to the original.” Gathered from the statement, it appears that Ubisoft Pune and Ubisoft Mumbai both are taking into consideration on the criticisms of the title’s appearance and hopefully will truly rework the used engine for whenever the game drops. Perhaps the studios could go to include the Nintendo Switch version as well during its extra development time. The port was leaked during the original September announcement for the game, but was never officially featured. The same for the new current-generation consoles as the two are only supported through backwards compatibity. Are you surprised another delay dropped for Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake? Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake is coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC; supported via backwards compatibility for Xbox Series X|s & PlayStation 5.
