But, it did eventually become a reality for keyboard & mouse owners. In that, we witnessed Guerrilla Games’ Horizon Zero Dawn make its way to the platform back in August 2020. Similarly, the same also applied to Kojima Productions’ Death Stranding as the game eventually arrived to PC as well. We also looked at it through the lens of what the PlayStation community thought about it. There was no massive adverse reaction to it. So we will continue to take mission steps in this direction. As of recently, Bend Studios and more so Days Gone faced several obstacles & changes. For one, the game inherited a next-generation PlayStation 5 update which introduced new enhancements like 60 frames per second and a target resolution output of 4K. Elsewhere, the developer entering December shared that leads for Days Gone Jeff Ross & John Garvin both left the studio already. While PlayStation 5 continues to surmount expectations with its super fast SSD, 10 Tflop GPU, and the evident design choice for the latest console iteration, there are some caveats which users are aware of in possession of the device. One being the lacking amount of next-generation content for its PlayStation VR accessory of its former. While Sony did verify that the system will support prior releases, the PlayStation 5 does now offer anything new. Even more, it was later discovered that virtual reality support for PlayStation 5-enable titles like Hitman 3 and No Man’s Sky will not be supported due to the limitations of the decision at place. But as to why this it – it is suspected to be in favor for a successor to the original headset. In a previous report where Sony Interactive Entertainment commented on a possible device, it only shared “to expect the PS5 to have a VR experience that is appropriate for the PS5.” In a new blog post issued on Tuesday, Sony Interactive Entertainment welcomes the ‘next-generation VR system’ planned for the PlayStation 5. We’re taking what we’ve learned since launching PS VR on PS4 to develop a next-gen VR system that enhances everything from resolution and field of view to tracking and input. It will connect to PS5 with a single cord to simplify setup and improve ease-of-use, while enabling a high-fidelity visual experience. Hideaki Nishino, Platform Planning & Management Senior Vice President To elaborate further on the topic, Sony Interactive Entertainment references a new distinct controller that will be created solely for the next PlayStation VR device. While not much is pressed, the new peripheral is told to incorporate features found in the PlayStation 5 DualSense controller alongside welcomed elements of ergonomic comfort. Sony Interactive Entertainment ends the conversation disclosing that a 2021 release date is not set for the next PlayStation VR. Microsoft Welcomes Its Next Issue Of Xbox Games With Gold Free Titles For March 2021

In terms of what Microsoft has to offer for its Xbox Live Games with Gold program for its users, many suspected the program to be ramping up its offerings this past month in reference to what the rest of the year might entail. For February 2021, games like Gears 5 and Resident Evil headlines the service which many gathered to be one of the most impressive offerings from the Xbox company in years, perhaps. The concern for better titles sprouted from the previous learning of Microsoft’s decision to increase pricing for Xbox Live Gold. Altogether, the choice ultimately was spun in the firm’s favor to welcome more Xbox Game Pass subscribers since the service was a better deal than singular Xbox Live. But, the firm ended up shrugging off the decision after retracting the initial announcement a day later. But while things are back to normal, the same is also said for Xbox Games with Gold as March 2021 is to include yet another average lineup alike prior months. Apple Slams Subpoenas On Valve In Its Current Legal Battle With Epic Games

Upon recalling a legal dispute that initially kicked off back in August 2020, the kerfuffle is still proceeding in the courts between Apple and Epic Games. In that, the iPhone giant in response to the multi-game publisher slashing its prices on Fortnite in-game currency ‘V-Bucks’ ultimately decided to pull the game from its storefront, The App Store. Fortnite also faced a similar fate on the Google Play Store as well that same time. Epic Games made the move after deciding to fight back against the 30 percent cut from Apple for being on The App Store. Now, the two continue to battle it out through the United States legal system as both fight for a justified outcome on the initial dispute. However, Apple looks to be bringing an a third party through the legal fight. In a new court filing, it is disclosed that Apple subpoenaed Valve back in November 2020 with the request for sales data for 30,000 games outright. The argument is that the information is crucial for Apple’s dispute with Epic Games. However, Valve says that contrary in the new legal document. Apple’s Request 2 is very narrow. It simply requests documents sufficient to show Valve’s: (a) total yearly sales of apps and in-app products; (b) annual advertising revenues from Steam; (c) annual sales of external products attributable to Steam; (d) annual revenues from Steam; and (e) annual earnings (whether gross or net) from Steam. Apple has gone as far as requesting this information in any readily accessible format, but Valve refuses to produce it. Needless to say, the legal request from Apple looks to be screaming fire in the theater when no blaze is present. Better phrased by the document reads as such: “Valve’s assertion that multiple databases are needed to extract the information Apple requests is a distraction. It continues, “Valve has admitted to Apple’s counsel that the information requested exists in the normal course of business, but Valve simply refuses to produce it in any of the formats Apple suggested, yet also refuses to provide any information whatsoever as to the form in which the information exists and is readily accessible.” Elsewhere on Twitter, Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney also combats more of Apple’s “Orwell”-like actions with a complete thread of criticisms. “Dear anonymous Apple spokesperson, Apple’s rules make pawns of all consumers and companies in the app economy,” Sweeney writes. “Apple’s shown it will remove great apps for the sole purpose of enforcing its distribution and payments monopoly.” While the case continues forward between the two firms, there is hope for Fortnite’s return to iOS. In that, BBC reported that the game could be handled through NVIDIA GeForce Now to stream the game through an browser-based app. You can read the full report by heading here. Typhoon Studios Runs Into Wall For Stadia’s Journey To The Savage Planet Following Platform’s Internal Developers Closing Doors

In the early, and fairly young, ambitions for Google to establish some footing for Stadia Games and Entertainment, the tech conglomerate ultimately decided to pulled the plug on entire operation as Stadia now aims to offer its cloud-based infrastructure to developers in the future. As part of that, any other studios involved with the first-party developer network were also caught in the crossfire resulting with over 150 developers out of a job. Intertwined in that, the previously acquired Typhoon Games met the same fate when the news broke at the start of February. However, what looked to be one last hoorah for the team’s latest project – Journey to the Savage Planet – was the title’s addition to Stadia Pro at the beginning of February. But, the removal of Stadia Games and Entertainment meet with a messy outcome for the title in particular. Users on Reddit are on a campaign for issues in the game to be resolved which is later learned to be more tricky than that. Mostly, Typhoon Games is unable to perform fixes since the version is in direct ownership to Google, says one email response. Reddit poster lordubuntu adds that the problem faced for the game is left for Google to fix mainly thanks to the firing if Typhoon Games. With Google’s history with problems on its platform, this is just another to the pile, essentially. “Please note that the publisher for Journey to the Savage Planet on Stadia is in fact Stadia Games and Entertainment (Google LLC) and, unfortunately, we have no way of assisting with this kind of issue from our end. The email from 505 Games continues, “We suggest reaching out to Stadia support again and informing them that the publisher for the Stadia version of Journey to the Savage Planet is actually them.” This certainly isn’t the first hiccup resulting with problems on Stadia’s end on Google’s behalf as a Terraria port for the platform faced a similar fate previously when one developer called the project off completely when losing access to prominent Google accounts. Elsewhere in the noise of the closing for Stadia Games and Entertainment, a new report from Kotaku suggests that the decision was ultimately executed after contemplating the future of the internal operation following Microsoft fulfilling its acquisition for Zenimax Media. id Software Shares Heavy Contemplation In Introducing A Female Doom Slayer

Alike its 2016 predecessor, Doom Eternal pushes the envelope into the ground and smashes its brains – similar to how reception for each game came only bringing appraise on how id Software translated the first-person shooter pioneered title to modern systems. “Doom Eternal embraces that familiarity and refines what all of us expected to a razor sharp edge. It’s faster and the combat is a whirlwind of metal, decision making, acrobatics and precision,” one stanza from our review for the game reads. And as you would suspected, the market also responded similarly to the amount of impressive changes that came with the ground-breaking sequel. In that, Doom Eternal stood to drastically outsell its predecessor alike Nintendo’s Animal Crossing: New Horizons; both selling roughly three times its former this past March. But, not everything made it into the final version even after heavy thought from the developer. In a new statement from id Sotware and Doom Eternal Director Hugo Martin archived from a month-old Twitch stream, he comments on a contemplated addition of a female Doom Slayer. I’ve thought about it [possibly bringing a female Doom Slayer to the series]. I think if we did it, I’d want it to be lethal. I think it’s interesting how it would impact the Glory Kills and the weapons that she would have. The fighting style certainly [feature] all aggression, absolutely, but a different type of aggression. I would really strive to have it impact the gameplay in a way that was meaningful. I’ve definitely put a lot of thought into that, actually! But looking at the potential of a third installment, which is very likely, perhaps we will witness a female lead in the next game. While direction for the series currently is the approaching Part 2 for Doom Eternal’s The Ancient Gods DLC, it might be quite some time until fans have the opportunity to see the opposite sex as a Doom Marine. Among some of the largest overtakes from Doom Eternal in this past year, the most gripping and outright enjoyable to see is the game being playable on xCloud. More specifically, an xCloud-enabled Samsung smart fridge as one use on Instagram shared. You can read the full report by heading here. Would you welcome a female Doom Slayer to the Doom series?
