However, following the number of glowing support for Massive Entertainment with the handling of the content flow for The Division 2, the game studio shared that an additional year of content is on the way for the game. For what is to come from the update in the latter part of 2021, the developer has not pressed on an approximate release for the DLC as of yet. Blizzard Shares Diablo II: Resurrected Can Import Saves From The Original To The Remake

To many that reflect on Diablo as a franchise, those that predate back decades before since the inaugural release mainly reference Diablo II to be the most lasting installment in terms of nostalgia value. Even with the announcement of Diablo IV back in 2019, Blizzard Entertainment went the lengths to reference that the darker tones of Diablo II will be present in the upcoming fourth installment. So when Blizzard Entertainment eventually announced Diablo II: Resurrected back at Blizzacon Online last month in February, many of the original fans were met with memories of exploring, battling, and intense moments when in-game. But the only question left lingering is if returning to start a new is worth the return for dozens of hours to be spent on the reimagining. Thankfully when speaking to IGN Middle East recently, Blizzard Entertainment presses that the original save files of the titular 2000 title will be compatible to transfer to the new game. Yes! Yes, keep those! Back when we were working on [the remaster], we wondered if the old save files would work and we kind of shoved it in and it worked! And we were like, ‘okay, that’s the best feature ever’. So yes, your local singleplayer save files will carry over. Matthew Cederquist, Diablo II: Resurrected Producer Noting that the original Diablo II arrived uniquely to PC back when it shipped two decades ago, it is suspected that the aforementioned save transfers is only supported for that platform. But with Diablo II: Resurrected also coming to consoles when it arrives later this year, it would be cool to see support grace those systems as well. In the statement, Blizzard Entertainment does not mention which platforms the feature is supported for. For fans worried about the handling of Diablo II: Resurrected, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 + 2 team Vicarious Visions is involved with the development alongside Blizzard Entertainment. So for a studio that can natively carry over the intangible experience to a new definition – Vicarious Visions is what you want at the helm. You can read the initial report by heading here. Nintendo Reportedly Working To Release Nintendo Switch With OLED Display Later This Year

Upon comparing Nintendo Switch to its competitors – Xbox & PlayStation – the current handheld console hybrid is a weak attempt of a system in contrast to its powerhouse counterparts. But when viewing the market and the performance on Nintendo’s latest machine, the device sits to be one of the most successful units in history for the industry. Regardless of that, chatter continues to surface suggesting Nintendo is working to make a more conventional Nintendo Switch to complement other hardware. In the past, reports surfaced the Nintendo is planning to reveal a 4K-enabled model which will ship with a magnitude of industry-pushing releases like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild sequel and Metroid Prime 4. Additionally, outlets like Bloomberg also push out reports which suggest that the plan is forming as Nintendo signals teams to begin support for greater resolution outputs as well. Once again from Bloomberg, the publication most recently reports that Nintendo is planning to issue a new model with a seven-inch OLED screen which would be a greater foundation for the system over its current display. The screen is said to be cranked at 720p, but will be less straining on the battery and even calibrate to 4K when docked on a television. The report concludes indicating that the system is to hit store shelves later in July. “The OLED panel will consume less battery, offer higher contrast and possibly faster response time when compared to the Switch’s current liquid-crystal display,” Yoshio Tamura, DSCC co-founder disclosed in the report that Bloomberg relayed. However, the claim is only tangible to some degree as Nintendo disrupted a previous claim issued prior to the recent news break. As per an investor call Nintendo held earlier this year, Bloomberg tells that Nintendo is not preparing to release any new additional Nintendo Switch SKUs for this year. So while the outlet is carrying out a new story indicating a new device is arriving this summer, note that the website also said the latter as well. You can read the full report by heading here. PlayStation 5 Reported To Update Firmware To Support Expandable Storage Later This Summer

In the grand scheme of things in regards to PlayStation 5, it is better in most ways to its predecessor – the PlayStation 4. Ranging from the significantly improved loading times, higher framerates, greater resolution output, and the support for backwards compatibility of games from its former. However, there are certainly some takeaways from the next-generation console that is expected to be included in the box. For one, Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) is absent from the hardware, for now that is. While Xbox Series X|S both offer the feature which fine tunes how games perform even with technical anomalies, they offer to be an answer most games could only dream of for last-generation titles. However, Sony Interactive Entertainment does comment support is due for later on. As for more updates that are due for the coming future, Bloomberg presses that there is more on the horizon for this summer. But rather than for VRR, the publication presses that there is a window for the long-expected expandable storage for the console. Oddly enough, the unit currently is not compatible with additional memory drives for players to carry over games from the PlayStation 4. In the report, Bloomberg issues that Sony plans to enable support for the internal M.2 drive for a second solid state drive to be placed in the now-empty slot. On Xbox, Microsoft welcomes third-party drives including adapters to take advantage of more space atop of its partnered Seagate expandable 1 TB cartridge as well. Bloomberg also indicates the firmware update will also enter higher cooling fan clocks to reduce overheating of the system. Outside of storage still not fully compatible with PlayStation 5, the PlayStation VR headset is still well-restrained on the system as well. But, Sony Interactive Entertainment announced a dedicated virtual reality headset for PlayStation 5 is in the works as we speak. You can read the full report by heading here.
