Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Wrath of the Druids Expansion Arrives In Late April

While Ubisoft continues to push forward with its next major releases for 2021 like Far Cry 6 and Roller Champions, the publisher is not entirely done with Assassin’s Creed Valhalla just yet. Though the game arrived back in November, Ubisoft Montreal has already mapped out the extensive content campaign that will arrive in the following months for the game. Atop of what Ubisoft already scheduled ahead of the game for more than half a year, the firm also faced an explosive amount of users on the game in contrast to the series’ last entry. Report: Sony To Shut Down Store For PlayStation 3, PSP, & PS Vita Starting In July

One of the largest caveats comparing PlayStation 5 to Xbox Series X|S is the intertwined ecosystems that make up the platform. While Sony’s console is able to purchase games for PlayStation 4 and even stream earlier games with PlayStation Now, Xbox on the other hand is able to directly play now three generations of games with no limitations – aside from respected games being supported, of course. So no matter if you own the game digitally or physically, players can load the title and play it on Xbox. But for PlayStation, there was already a red flag for extended backwards compatibility as Sony Interactive Entertainment President & CEO Jim Ryan issued the team working on the PlayStation 5 could not achieve support for PlayStation, PlayStation 2, or PlayStation 3 natively. Now, that issue looks to further worsen as the firm is now reported to be closing a number of its storefronts very soon. Namely PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, and PlayStation Vita stores are all said to be shutting down by July 2 (August 27 for PS Vita), as per a report from The Gamer. One of the largest concerns in regards to the report verified by the outlet is that owners of digital games will not be able to access these games once the marketplace ceases operations. To that, the titles you once had available will be inaccessible if not backed up properly ahead of the closing for the PlayStation Store on the respected platforms. In the past, Sony Interactive Entertainment has indirectly referenced this instance prematurely. Upon users questioning the ability to purchase games from the aforementioned systems on PlayStation 5 alike its former, the PlayStation company clarified that the ability will not be present on the newest hardware.
