Report: Panzer Dragoon Voyage Record Cancelled, Claims Of Wildman CEO Death Denounced In Follow-up Statements

Although Sega previously stood to be a console titan in the late 1990s to early 2000s, the firm now sits as a prominent publisher with no hardware on the market. Despite the change of direction for the Japanese firm, Sega is currently sitting on a mound of properties that nostalgic fans wish the firm would utilize. In a recent financial report from Sega Sammy, the company is searching for which IPs to remake or reintroduce later on. Currently, franchises like Panzer Dragoon is being emphasized with remake initiatives from Forever Entertainment. Sometime in late 2021, Panzer Dragoon II Zwei: Remake is planned to be delivered. Additionally, developer Wildman Inc. is to ship a virtual reality project, Panzer Dragoon: Voyage Record as well this year. However, reports from Sega indicate that the VR title is now cancelled altogether. The statement transcribed by Gematus of the now-deleted posts reads, “Panzer Dragoon: Voyage Record has been cancelled due to the cancellation of the contract by Sega and the death of the producer, Haruto Watanabe, CEO of Wildman Inc. Thank you for your support.” Howbeit, the outlet goes on to report several friends of Watanabe claim he is still alive. Noted, the arrangement for Sega & Wildman Inc. has since been squandered, but, details on the reasoning for the decision has yet to be clarified. The game was announced back in 2020 around the same time Forever Entertainment shared its plans to remake the first two Panzer Dragoon titles. No release date or platforms were confirmed for the VR project. Earlier this year, developer Forever Entertainment announced to be collaborating with Square Enix to remake projects from the Japanese publisher. Panzer Dragoon Remake, House Of The Dead Remake Team Forever Entertainment Arranges Deal With Nintendo For “Several Releases”

While much of the Panzer Dragoon IP remained dormant for nearly two decades, developer Forever Entertainment decided to resuscitate the series with planned remakes for the first two games – Panzer Dragoon & Panzer Dragoon II Zwei: Remake. So far, the first game of two was delivered back in early 2020. However, more is promised as a second project is underway. It was not until this past February – nearly a full year later – that Forever Entertainment decided to follow-up on its ambitions for the initiative. In that, the developer pressed that Panzer Dragoon II Zwei: Remake is expected to ship later on in fall 2021. As of reporting, there is no official date for the project. Elsewhere, the team also worked on bringing remakes for House of the Dead & House of the Dead 2 which are still in active development. In statement from Forever Entertainment, the firm shares a new arrangement with Nintendo to deliver similar projects alike Panzer Dragoon & House of the Dead remakes for “several titles” by the Japanese firm. However, details on what the ambition is to be for has yet to be disclosed. “The Management Board of Forever Entertainment S.A. (FE) announces the conclusion of a material agreement between FE and Nintendo Co., Ltd. (Nintendo) of Japan. Under the above agreement, FE will receive significant financial support from Nintendo for the implementation of the publishing agreement, which aims to release several titles for Nintendo Switch from the FE publishing plan. The exact release dates of all games will be communicated in separate current reports,” the statement reads from an auto-generated translator. IKEA Gaming Furniture To Launch Sometime In October 2021

Well, not from an official brand that is. But it was until this past year that IKEA announced a new arrangement with ASUS’ Republic of Gamers to develop a new line of products for the niché market. In that, users can expect the likes of entertainment centers, desks, chairs, and other table-top accessories to complement all things gaming. While certain products asks for more than it compensates for, the new partnership between both firms is to introduce a cost-saving collection for everyday players to find what they need at that does not feel like an investment more than a purchase. According to a recent press release from IKEA, the Swedish company announces the Republic of Gamers collection is to be available this October. We believe there’s a lot to be done to democratise the gaming experience. Microsoft Teams Up With Medal TV For Seamless Clip Sharing Across Social Media

While video games continue to evolve into a tangible experience for millions across the globe, sharing your experiences is still sluggish to some degree. However, bringing that to other platforms is fairly limited. Yes, you can share directly through the menu, but not all social media is present. But, on Xbox at least, there is now Medal TV. Through a new arrangement between both firms, users can create a Medal TV account and simply share your clips from Xbox to your social feeds. The Game Awards Returns To In-Person Venue This December

While Geoff Keighley is most noted for his time at Game Trailers and Spike TV for ushering media coverage within the video game industry to a television-like formula, he now does a similar job with his own organized shows. In 2021 alone, Keighley is responsible for both Summer Game Fest alongside Gamescom Opening Night Live in June and August respectively. Now leaning towards the latter half of the year, December shapes up to be an anticipated time for the market with The Game Awards to arrive once more for its annual showing. In 2019, records for viewership was shattered for the show and more followed in 2020’s reporting post-ceremony results as well. As COVID-19 restrictions are slowly lifted, Geoff Keighley announces that the show is to return to an in-person venue this year. The show is to take place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California. “We are very excited to return to the Microsoft Theater for a special night to celebrate the past, present and future of video games,” a statement from Keighley shares. “Our goal is to bring the entire community together to celebrate the most powerful form of entertainment in the world, and recognize emerging voices that represent the future of the medium.” Of course, knowing when the show is taking place is only half the excitement. While some did enjoy the ride that was Paul W. S. Epic Games To Welcome Achievement System To Epic Games Store Next Week

Epic Games Store To Receive Windows Store App In Coming Months
